I finally took my family to Gino's after I noticed my mom's constant stare into the restaurant during our walks. Our waiter was patient and humorous (he had my family laughing as they tried to figure out the menu). The broccolini that was served with the veal medallions was a little too salty but the meal was otherwise delicious. The rest of the food and the portions were good. The space was clean and we didn't feel rushed as busy as the restaurant was. My family and I are looking forward to coming back.

If you're looking for a local gem, this spot is an absolute must-visit. Even if it means going out of your way, it's well worth the trip! The fine dining experience here is complemented by a stunning setting, making it perfect for both lunch and dinner. One standout recommendation: the white broth pasta soup--it's currently my favorite. Honestly, everything about this place is fantastic, from the food to the ambiance. It's easily one of the best places in the area. Highly recommended--you won't be disappointed!

Solid, traditional Italian fare where I find myself having dinner when in the area---usually after getting a haircut. Since my first review, I've tried their pizza and other dishes. My recent visit left me quite impressed. We shared the house salad which was divided in separate plates for two. Crisp greens decorated with dried cranberries, tomatoes and shaved Parm. I detected a touch of salt and the overall result was very delicious!I ventured to selecting a different main--Chicken stuffed with Escarole served with either pasta or side vegetable. I chose sautéed Broccoli with Garlic. But the Chicken was the star. It was prepared pinwheel style--four large pieces. I was expecting a stuffed cutlet version but this was much better and so attractive. Extremely delicious and highly recommend. All drinks/wine--as always--very good. Expect some craziness and a loud atmosphere late afternoon on a Sunday. It's part of the charm. Also expect an excellent meal. Consistently good. True blue fan.

I have been to Gino's twice: the first time the food was good (a 4 star level) but our whole family ended up with stomach issues. We have no proof that this originated in Gino's so I give them the benefit of a doubt. The next time we had a reservation and came in to a long line of people waiting for theirs, with a 20-30 min wait time. We were initially told that it will be just a couple of minutes, upon inquiring further the person handling reservations told us it will be much longer.

Gino's is one of my favorite Italian restaurants in Brooklyn. But I have to say I feel things are changing. I have ordered this hot antipasto before and there was a much bigger portion that what I have pictured. There was one piece of eggplant rolatini, 2 baked clams & 2 shrimps. The fried calamari wasn't a lot either. I feel it's ridiculous to offer so little on the antipasto. Even the shrimp cocktail had 4 shrimps, I feel 6 would have been worth it. I understand that prices are increasing but the portions should be worth the money. Just my personal opinion. But as always I LOVE the penne vodka and I get it with peas and fried chicken cutlet. Absolutely delicious it's the best vodka sauce in bay ridge. I still love this restaurant very much the food is phenomenal.

I ordered from Gino's tonight after admittedly forgetting they exist for a long time. I got hit with the flu and wanted soup with some basic real food. I ordered the pasta in butter sauce with shrimps, garlic knots and chicken & rice soup. The soup was highly recommended by a friend and reheated well. Their prices are great and so are the portions. Enough for next day leftovers. I ordered directly from their site & it worked out perfectly.

I've been here quite a few times and it never disappoints! The food is absolutely delicious! I just went there for a holiday party. I had the antipasto, rigatoni, chicken rollatine and spumoni. I finished every bite from each dish! The service was great. My favorite Italian restaurant!

I wanted to try Gino's mainly because I love penne vodka, and I've heard great things about it here. So, I ordered take-out for penne vodka, fried calamari, and chicken cutlet parmigiana (with fries). Unpopular opinion, but overall taste of everything was average. Not sure if the quality lowered because I got take-out, but I did reheat everything when I ate it...The penne vodka was a little bland. Despite having the sun-dried tomatoes and basil seasoning on top, there wasn't much flavor. Personally, I've had much better vodka sauce elsewhere (or at least better for my palate). The calamari was lightly battered, and came with tomato dip and a slice of lemon. I like to put a lot of lemon on it, but it nothing special.Lately for the chicken cutlet parmigiana, I ordered it with fries but was given pasta. The cutlet was dry and very thin.

I came on Valentine's day with a reservation and it was hard to even walk in. It was packed from the door to all the way inside where the bar was. We had to wait maybe 15-20 minutes because staff was just so busy and hard to flag down. They were doing their best to clear tables as quickly as possibly and get everyone settled. We started off with some bread that came with some kind of oil, I should've asked for some butter but the bread wasn't too hard which I liked. We ordered apps which came pretty quick: baked clams and calamari. The baked clams were so good and not too expensive compared to the other Italian spots in New York. The calamari was good and it came with this tomato dip, but definitely recommend the baked clams more. The sauce and everything was just perfect. The pasta took a while and even getting a water refill was hard because everyone was super busy. I got the half portion of grilled chicken + peas in vodka sauce. The sauce was terrific and I love how they offer half portions so it's less expensive. It filled me just right given how I had appetizers too. We also got the chicken parm with spaghetti. I love how thin the chicken cutlet was. When it's too thick it tastes a bit too fatty.Overall a great place for a date night or birthday dinner.

One of my favorite and very well known restauranthere in Bay Ridge Brooklyn. I always come here when I'm in town from NJ. I used to come here a lot when I was living here. Since moving to NJ I miss this place...it has expanded over the years and it's still crowded to get to a table at times, but its worth it ...the food and service is excellent.
