Another fantastic visit to Gatsby's landing. As always, the food was incredible, the atmosphere was inviting with turn of the century decor, and the service was top notch. Gatsby's landing never disappoints.

While the food was mostly good/above average, we were reminded that the restaurant had other reservations and that we needed to leave. At 4:15 in the middle of the day ... as we were finishing our dessert. WTF?We arrived for a late lunch at 3p. We didn't have a reservation; we were sat at an undersized table in the bar. The food was mostly good, with my crab cake and my wife's pasta quite tasty. The ceviche was bland, and my son's pizza was nothing special. We each had two drinks. The server was attentive and personable, and we were enjoying ourselves ... until, as we were finishing our dessert, the server told us that they had other reservations, and we needed to hurry along. When I asked him about it, he told me the manager had told him to tell us. WTF? Perfect way to ruin a nice little lunch. We weren't taking our time (we're relatively brisk eaters), and it was 4:15 in the afternoon on a Saturday. Considering its location in the theatre district, they get a lot of theatre goers for show that start at 7 or 8pm. We weren't impacting that at all. If anything, this greedy little joint should have been happy to have us fill the dead spot in the middle of the day. When I confronted the manager, he was completely unapologetic. I know this is New York, and it's a big, unforgiving city with an irrepressible drive to make money. This never, ever would have happened in Paris, where dining is seen as a sacred right. But being seen as just another table to turn infuriates me and ruined my meal.

This was not your typical dining experience, but it worked out.Husband and I were in town just before Christmas for a show. I chose this place because it was close to the theater and had good reviews. We had 6:15 reservations and a 7:30 show. I should have allowed more time.We were seated right away. The place was well attended, but not too loud and wonderfully decorated for the Holidays. Service was super. Our server, Joey, was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and engaged. The cocktail menu was well-sized and curated. Our drinks came quickly. After we put our orders in, I advised our server about the show and he thought it wouldn't be a problem. I had ordered the duck breast and husband ordered the duck carbonara after some advice from our server. The calamari appetizer we ordered was absolutely fantastic. Being from Boston, we eat a fair amount of calamari. This was tender, moist, piping hot and not too salty - just wonderful. Unfortunately, our food did not get out on time and at 7:15, after 30 minutes had elapsed and with only about 5 minutes before we had to leave, we knew it was going sideways. Our server was riding herd in the kitchen trying to get the entrees out but it was not to be. I decided to leave my card with the hostess and agreed to return after the show to complete our dinner. Honestly, if the calamari hadn't been so good, we might have formulated a different plan. Also, I felt partially responsible for not advising them of our timeline when we arrived (or for not making a reservation with more slack). We returned at 9:15 after the show. We were warmly greeted by the manager, who immediately brought us to a new table and provided us with a new server (ours had finished his shift). My duck breast was large and perfectly cooked. My husband's carbonara probably matched the description, but we anticipated more duck meat. It was billed as smoked duck pancetta, so perhaps we should have had more of a clue. Notwithstanding that, it was excellent. As a gesture of gratitude for the kitchen delay earlier, they offered to comp desert. We chose to split one - the crème brûlée - and it was excellent. We had a great time and would definitely go back.

My first trip to Gatsby's was so positive, as I reflected in my original review -- my second time was, unfortunately, a disappointment!A friend and I went for lunch before a weekend matinee performance. This time, I had the Cacio e Pepe pasta; the sauce was almost a gravy, and way over peppered. We decided to share a dessert, the Bombolini, filled with Nutella. The doughnuts themselves were thick and heavy, and we could hardly taste the Nutella.Sorry to say we probably won't return.

Came back for a business lunch, and I got the fish of the day special which was sea bass + brussel sprouts. It was very good, perhaps my favorite thing here so far. I have have gotten more specials here than standard entrees at this point, so it's a little bit of shame that I can't order the specials that I've enjoyed.I got the cheesecake again, and while good, the graham crust is much too thick. Personal preference though - I would be okay with no crust at all on my cheesecakes.

Stopped by after an early show last Saturday. The location is obviously great if you're catching a show. We were promptly seated, and when we requested to move, we were accommodated without a problem. Servers were knowledgeable and friendly. Drinks were decent. They even sent out a little champagne as we were celebrating our anniversary! My only issue was the food was just okay. For appetizers we ordered sliders and Brussels sprouts-both were delish. The entrees were mid. We ordered the cacio e Pepe which was weirdly too minty and not cheesy enough, and a pizza with spicy sopressata that wasn't spicy at all. In fact, it just was kinda bland. We'll chalk it up to a one-off and probably try again another time. Still definitely worth checking out!

Definitely one of the most elegant bars in the area in regard to drinks, food, service and ambiance! One of their best drinks, the "Millionaire - You are what you drink!", composed of PAMA Pomegranate Liqueur & Ten High Sour Mash is one of the most deliciously smooth cocktails I have ever enjoyed! Although it is no longer on the menu, you may still order it, just ask any seasoned server including Jesse!Their oysters actually shocked me because they truly tasted out of this world! They were so incredibly fresh & silky smooth! A must try!

Came here for a quick dinner before a Broadway show and it was good! The restaurant is beautiful and caught out eye from the street. Our server was very knowledgable despite being somewhat new and we enjoyed the service quite thoroughly. I got the carbonara and my mom got the salmon. The food was just fine, not up to the standards of some of the other restaurants we have been to during our stay. Nonetheless, we had a good time and finished off our evening with a creme brûlée. We asked for it with the raspberry sauce on the side and it was brought out with it on top, but then quickly taken back to the kitchen and brought out correctly. We are sticklers about the creme brûlée being torched properly and it was a really good creme brûlée. Overall, good experience at the restaurant but the food could have been better

We had a wonderful time at Gatsby's landing. We came here before a show and they were nice enough to ask us when the show was to avoid any delays. The service was top notch! We had many employees bring us drinks, taking our order, asking us how everything was. The food was good and the drinks even better. We got the brick chicken and the vegetable lasagna. The seasoning was great on the chicken but lacked something with the lasagna. It tasted ok, but needed salt. We didn't have any on the table so I just let it be. The place was very nicely decorated. It was dark in the restaurant which I didn't mind but it might bother some. All in all a solid place to go before a show!

My boyfriend and I came to Gatsby's Landing to celebrate our one year anniversary. The staff was very happy to celebrate us, which we appreciated. Everything about this place is amazing and Gatsby is themed, which is one of our favorite movies. Also, there is a theater across the street and Lion King was also a short walk away. If you're looking for good service, good food, a good atmosphere, and a short walk to the theaters, this is the place to be!
