Bingo, we were looking for a nice sushi restaurant around Times Square. Yes it's a heavily touristed area but we're staying there. We wanted to celebrate and treat ourselves. Luckily we found exactly what we hoped for. It's a few days before Xmas and it's BUSY EVERYWHERE. Making reservations online was a nice bonus. We arrived and were impressed with the decor and were instantly welcomed and sat. Our server "Bryan" greeted us with an exceptionally informative and warm welcome which set the tone for the rest of our visit. We ordered a round of drinks, Kani salad, calamari, pork gyoza and crab cakes for appetizers, all were perfect to split. We followed it up with a round of rolls - Mummies, sex on the beach, over the top with bang bang broccoli and jalapeño hamachi which we also shared. What a roller coaster of wonderful flavors. Timely delivery of food and beverages, impeccable service, beautiful ambiance (walk around, check out the the other rooms and the restrooms ) etc there wasn't a hitch. Oh, and the Matcha cheesecake and Chocolate volcano was a perfect ending. We hope you'll have as nice of an experience as we did. Thank you Bryan!

Looking for a dinner before a show. This is your spot. We were able to to snag same day reservations before our show that started at 8pm on a Saturday. They will not allow you to sit without your full party. But there is a pretty lounge area to wait in . Once seated we ordered appetizers and drinks. The food came quick and we were able to eat within an hour and 15 mins, which was perfect. I'd give it a 3.5. The food was ok. Nothing that was outstanding. The drink was good. The steak without the sauce was bland.

A beautiful quiet restaurant in the middle of Time Square. We were looking for a restaurant before a Broadway Show. We didn't want to go to the popular/crowded places but something off the beaten path but still close to the show! Fushimi fit all the boxes. The restaurant in on an off street which is great so it keeps the vibe a bit more exclusive and not too busy.It is beautifully created with Modern, Contemporary Asian influences. It's is pretty large w/ a front sitting, and lounge area! The food overall was hit or miss. We both ordered drinks, a roll, edamame and the salmon. I ordered the lychee martini. It was pretty strong but lacked the strong lychee flavor that I expect. The best item was the Spicy Edamame. It was HOT, but very delish.... You'll want to keep eating them, as long as you can tolerate the heat. We ordered the California and Spicy Tuna Rolls, which we found to be average. The salmon lacked any flavor and required the brown butter teriyaki sauce to elevate the dish. I would not suggest the dish w/o the sauce. The sauce should enhance the dish not create it, so although it was good, it's disappointing.Since we did not order anything the server suggested, I would definitely try this place again because I loved the vibe and then hope the dishes are better.

Fushimi Times Square is the spot to go to if you want to celebrate your special moments or accomplishments. The service is superb! I can not express this enough. Our waiter paid attention to details, his service was excellent. The food was delicious, everything was 8-9 score out of 10!!! The decor was very stylish and beautiful especially when you first enter the restaurant and walking toward the restroom. I booked our reservations on Open Table app for Friday Oct 11, 2024 for 6:30pm. We visited Fushimi to celebrate a late grad celebration. It wasn't busy when we arrived but it got busier as the time went on. Here's what we ordered:Appetizers:Deep fried Soft shell crab served with sweet Thai chili. Rated 8 out of 10; priced at $25 Seared scallops consisted of shio kombu miso cream sauce, royal assetra caviar, ikura, mullet lemon jam. 10 out of 10; this appetizer went by so fast within seconds of hitting the table. Lol. Priced at $25 Rock tempura shrimp served with spicy aioli. It was deep fried. Rated 7 out of 10. Priced at $17Fried calamari served with Yuzu cream; rated 8 out of 10. Priced at $17Lobster mash potatoes had lobster jus and chives. 7 out of 10. Priced at $15 Roasted duck over mango, cucumber, lime, mint with hoisin reduction. 9 out of 10; I love anything with roasted duck but the salad definitely brought out the flavors and complimented each other. Priced at $25We also ordered a couple of sushi rolls. We had the fire & ice ; it had spicy tuna, cream cheese, white tuna, avocado, jalapeño and Kani, wrapped with rice paper, lightly fried and topped with crispy beet, spicy aioli, wasabi aioli, peel sauce and Thai chili sauce. My cousin rate it a 9 out of 10. Priced at $25. I ordered the surf & turf roll; it had fresh lobster meat with cucumber with homemade tartar sauce inside and topped with seared filet mignon black pepper mint hoisin sauce. This roll was different & tasted good I would rate 8 out of 10. Priced at $29. We had salmon four ways: 6 sashimi, 4 sushi and spicy salmon roll, salmon tartare. My daughter rated it 10 out of 10. The fish were super fresh and presentation was amazing. Priced at $44. Entree:Lobster two ways; Parmesan crusted lobster stuffed with potato & spinach. The second way was charcoal grilled lobster with lemon butter sauce. They were delicious! 10 out of 10. Priced at $58. Dessert:We had the Fushimi platter; it was a tasting dessert platter. Came out very beautifully displayed, they were tasty but I did not recall the names of the desserts. Priced at $38. Very great price for all the desserts. We also had a bottle of wine for the table and I don't remember the brand either lol.. What I really like was that they had a photographer to capture our moments. She would take pictures of us and print it out on the spot. She also has frames for the pictures. I believe it was $20 a picture. We got two picture frames. Very good quality photos. Overall; everything came out to $500. Pretty pricey but worth the experience. I will definitely return in the future and highly recommend Fushimi. Excellent athmosphere and service.

Beautiful restaurant!! From the moment you walk in, you know you're gonna have an experience . Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious . We ordered the lobster mashed potatoes, even though not really Asian food and I'm so glad we did .. be sure to save room for this dish. Everything is plated with care.. I definitely will be back!!

It was my Mom's birthday today and so we came here to celebrate. Everyone was kind to her and made her feel welcomed. The food was delicious! We both had the lobster and shrimp meal. She had the seafood bisque and I had the miso soup. Both soups were very good. The drink we ordered was the coconut sakeini; it was scrumptious. We also had the dessert tester and all of the desserts were amazing. The restaurant was very clean and organized. Thank you for making her day feel so special. She said this was one of the best birthdays ever. We would visit again.

A run of the mill sushi spot in the Theatre District. Got a mix of fancy and affordable rolls. They do use fresh ingredients and their fancy rolls had fun combinations. The Duck Salad was the winner of the meal.Service was a bit spotty though.

I always enjoy my time at Fushimi. The restaurant is beautiful inside, the lights are dimmed and the decor is eye catching. It has a very peaceful and elegant ambiance. Fushimi is a bit on the pricey side but you get so much for the price, delicious fresh sushi, an elegant ambiance, and attentive service. They are definitely worth the price. In my most recent visit I had the crispy rice which comes in a set of 4 pieces, it was so tasty. The angry dragon roll was extremely good, it is topped with a sweet citrus miso sauce which made the entire roll burst with flavor. Me and my sister enjoyed this roll so much that we ordered it for a second time and debated on going for thirds. Also had the sex on the beach which was good. I loved that our waitress was so attentive, she checked on us a few times to make everything was good.I strongly recommend that you give Fushimi a visit, you surely won't regret it!!
