loved our time here!! we were seated in the pasta room (separate entrance from check in). cute and intimate room, not too loud, cozy, and cute. freezing day but the curtain by the door did a good job of keeping the cold air out. the short rib agnolotti was literally to die for. i have tried similar dishes at a few other restaurants both in nyc and in sf, but this was by far the best. when i come back i am ordering this for myself instead of splitting dishes! not too salty and packed with flavor. the busiate was very unique. light yet flavorful--kind of zesty and the garlic was pretty strong in a good way! suppli was also delicious but not as good as both the pastas. loved the sauce it came with (scooped it all up to savor each bite). one of the best complimentary focaccias i have had in new york! the olive oil was just okay but the bread itself was divine. our server was so sweet! she gave great suggestions and was so friendly. didn't rush us and always made sure our water glasses were full.

We had the pleasure of enjoying a New Year's Eve tasting menu here two years ago. Overall, the food was absolutely delicious. The tortellini in broth stood out as my favorite - it was so good that we ordered a second round outside of the tasting menu. The truffle pasta was also incredible and left a lasting impression. The service was friendly but a bit slow, which we were told was due to it being the restaurant's first time offering a tasting menu. It seemed like they were still figuring out the pacing. While the food and flavors were top-notch, the ambience left something to be desired. The space inside is quite small, and the outdoor dining area didn't feel like it matched the high price point. For the cost, I expected a more refined or intimate setting. That said, the quality of the dishes might still tempt me back - especially for that tortellini!

I came here with a large group. They were gracious enough to accommodate an additional guest who wasn't included in the initial reservation. We chose the 6 course tasting menu. They have options for vegetarians and pescatarians. The tasting started with focaccia bread and olive oil, which were delicious and perfectly salty. There were two pasta courses, which were generous portion sizes and quite filling. I was disappointed by the vegetarian final savory course. The root vegetables were undercooked and lacked flavor. They have an extensive Italian wine selection with most bottles starting at $60 and up. Service was excellent. However, only a couple of the dishes truly wowed me so not sure this is quite worth the price.

Haven't been heard of Forsythia until last month. I know I am bit late of the party. But it is always worth the wait. Food is great here. They offer chef's menu which lots of food is not on the menu or you can pick alar carte. We picked what we would like to try. We had special meat ball, truffle suffli, bone marrow and beef tartar. It was very good. Pasta is also exceptional. Service is great. It is a very intimate environment. So if you have a date, plz bring them here.

My wife loves Italian cuisine. And this one blew her away. Tall order since we've been to Italy. The agnolotti, which is what they are known for, will have your mouth singing high praises. And probably wanting to take their pasta class, right next door. Just do yourself a favor and order two! The atmosphere? I felt like I was tucked away in a small street in Italy. Perfect for date night. Service was extremely attentive and made perfect recommendations. I have a photo of the inside because the ones on yelp didn't do it justice. And to be honest. I don't think mine did any better

Forsythia cam highly recommended and mostly lived up to the billing. Visiting nyc and wanted to try the best pasta, and Forsythia delivered. A bit overpriced imo, justifying 4 stars. Pretty good food, service, and ambiance.

This place is fantastic! Been following them on instagram for a while and finally got to experience this culinary gem. You must make a reservation! A while in advance too. We did the tasting menu for $109/each. This included 4 apps and 4 pastas. The insalata, maiale (pork belly), and suppli were delicious. There was another seasonal app with asparagus that was very refreshing and tasty. For pastas we got the garganelli, trofie, agnolotti and carbonara. The agnolotti and carbonara were the best of the four. The dishes aren't huge, portions are a good size. Both desserts were so good. The service was attentive but not pushy or overwhelming. Server was great.

I love this place! We came for a 9:15pm reservation and it was well worth the wait. We ordered all of the hits and they absolutely hit. We also ordered this wine that is no longer on the menu called, Ficomontina (?) that was absolutely delicious and I could drink all by myself. The agnolotti is incredible, the desserts phenomenal, and ramp butter and bread was breathtaking. The servers were helpful and they parsed out our food well. I'm coming back for my birthday and I absolutely cannot wait. Ambiance is also really lovely, dim lighting, soft yellow hues, and very intimate. Plenty of space between each group.

This was a really great meal. We did the Prix fixe menu for a birthday dinner and it was so good. Every option was delicious and the portions were good. You don't realize how much you're eating throughout the courses but it's a lot of food! We all left full. All the food was so seasonal and fresh. The service was also top notch. The servers were knowledgeable and attentive but not overbearing. They paid attention to my friend whose birthday it was. The sommelier gave great recommendations. We were seated outside, which was fine because they had a great outdoor structure set up. It kept us warm and shielded enough from people on the sidewalks, and notably we still had great service outside. There was always someone close by. Definitely recommend for a special dinner.

Small but gorgeous setting, lovely service and delicious food. Perfect for a date or a dinner for 2-3 people but there's definitely not room for large groups here.To start we had the focaccia with honey butter and ricotta which was delicious with their very strong cocktails. I had the juniper cosmo and my sister had the fennel mezcal Negroni and both were excellent. Then for appetizers we had the honey nut squash with hazelnuts, which may be the best squash I've ever had, as well as the misticanza salad which was very light with just the right amount of garlic and pecorino to balance out the bitter greens. For our main course we both had the chestnut brown butter cappelletti which was the perfect seasonal pasta and just the right portion size if you want to order appetizers as well and not feel too full at the end of your meal.We shared a dark chocolate sorbet for dessert and this was good, but nothing to write home about. They did add olive oil and sea salt to it which was a nice touch, but the dessert didn't stand out as much as the outstanding savory dishes we tried.
