A great place for a casual brunch if you're in the Greenpoint area. The restaurant itself is very small so you'll be super close to others and no reservations available- walk in only. I had to wait 30-40 min. The food was great. I feel for the price ($20) for for the big brekky, which included eggs, hash browns, toast, and your choice of 2 sides, it's a great bang for your buck. Tip: choose the baked beans for one of the sides and thank me later. We had spicy margs and they had the perfect amount of alcohol. Service was efficient, no complaints.Overall, I would return but I'm not the biggest fan of restaurants where people are literally seated on top of you. However, the food was great so I will probably make an exception.

Came here for brunch. We felt like the service here was really odd. We put our names in and were pleasantly surprised that the wait was shorter than expected, but after we were sat we were ignored for 15 minutes. Had to ask 2 separate people if we could place our order. The person who took our order was nice, but then disappeared again until we flagged someone down again to ask for the check. We watched both tables on either side of us get seated and served their meals - and one table finished their meal, paid, and left - before our food came out. Food was delicious but the energy kind of felt weirdly hostile - not sure I'll be back because it almost felt like we were unwelcome. Am I not quirky enough to dine here or something? Really strange experience.

I had been waiting to come here for some time and it was worth the wait! They don't take reservations on weekends, so come prepared to wait a bit during peak hours. For this visit, we came slightly later (1:30pm) and had a 25 min wait, not bad at all. The drinks were amazing! We had the watermelon frozen margarita and the Bangkok Colada. For brunch, we ordered:Steak, Eggs & Hashbrown Moroccan ScrambleRicotta Pancakes (super popular)The food was amazing, very flavorful - the pancakes were a favorite at the table for sure and the Moroccan Scramble was very unique (in a good way). Bottomline: Definitely check this place out if you're a fan of Brunch!

Walked in on a Monday afternoon and was seated immediately. We got the chicken pie, truffle fries, spicy chicken sandwich, and an egg toast. The food was good and flavorful. I enjoyed the truffle fries and would say it's a must order for the table to share. The pot pie was a bit drier than I expected but I did enjoy how fluffy the ricotta pancakes were. Overall, cute brunch place but very small interior that was slightly uncomfortable to sit.

Stopped in to grab a coffee on the go. Didn't try any food but the restaurant is cute and quaint offering Australian / American brunch/ lunch selections. My coffee was full of flavor and a hit the spot on a cold day. The service was great, took time to explain their cuisine and what they are best known for. Great coffee and service.

Went for dinner Friday night. Took about 40 mins to get seated for 2 people no reservation around 7pm. Super cozy vibes, good food, festive!! The French onion soup is super tasty as are the mussels (need more bread with the mussels!) If you sit on the bench side at the second or third table in -- you're on top of a radiator so the bench is heated! Walked by this place many times, shocked I've waited this long to try but defs will be back

Stopped in for a drink at the little bar. I was at first charmed by the space, but found the servers to be quite off putting, arch and even hostile. They also tried to send away another single patron claiming there were no seats, when there was a seat right next to me. I paid cash for my drink (after being told tartly "just give me a minute), then was not given the right change to leave a proper tip, so I had to ask for change of a $5. Sorry but not leaving a $5 tip for one beer, especially after such rude treatment. Left $3 which was more than they deserved but I always give the benefit of the doubt that they were having a bad night and maybe they will remember to be a little nicer next time.

We sat in the outside covered seating in which could have used a bit more cleaning. But was suitable as we wanted to park our bikes in sight. Ordered the burger and steak plates with frozen watermelon margaritas. Burger style is thick and juicy and messy, slathered with spicy mayo (huge fan). Truffle fries were delicious and plentiful. My partner liked the steak as he ate it all unless he was just very hungry. The margaritas were strong and tasty - perfect for a summer evening. A friend suggested this place as Bernie's wait was too long, and scratched my burger itch!

New favorite brunch spot, everything was ridiculously delicious!! This place is always packed so I never thought to try it but I'm so happy I finally did. They don't take reservations so you usually have to wait 25-30 mins but I promise it's worth it. Plus, there's tons of shops and it's next to McCarren park so killing time isn't really an issue. Service is a bit slow but servers are still very nice. Only complaint is the tables are very small and wonky and the sun beams on you if you sit outside but I'm sure it's much better inside 9.5/10

I'm a big fan of ricotta pancakes, and an especially big fan of those at Five Leaves. I consider myself somewhat of a pancake snob and these, in my opinion, are as close to perfect as it gets. They're loaded up with fresh berries and banana, fluffy with a crispy griddled edge, and feature the most delicious honeycomb butter. I am also partial to the Moroccan scramble. The wait is often pretty nuts but it's worth it in my opinion. I only wish the space inside wasn't so tight, but again, whatever-- the pancakes!!
