Fish Cheeks is a fantastic destination for those looking to experience Thai cuisine with a modern and exciting twist. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the vibrant yet sophisticated decor, which perfectly balances contemporary design with warm, inviting touches. The atmosphere is energetic but not overwhelming, making it a great place for both casual dinners and special occasions. The food was absolutely phenomenal. I started with the spicy papaya salad, which had the perfect combination of heat, tanginess, and crunch--each bite was refreshing yet packed with bold flavors. The sticky ribs were another standout dish, incredibly tender with a beautifully caramelized exterior that had just the right amount of smoky sweetness. Every dish was thoughtfully presented, making the experience even more enjoyable. What truly elevated the experience was the impeccable service. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to provide recommendations, ensuring that each guest found something they would love. They were attentive without being intrusive, creating a relaxed and comfortable dining experience.Overall, Fish Cheeks is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates high-quality Thai food with a contemporary flair. The combination of delicious dishes, stylish ambiance, and excellent service makes it a standout in NYC's competitive dining scene. I'll definitely be returning to explore more of the menu!

Food is amazing! I've never tasted such tender and flavorful roast chicken! Pork belly dish is great! The steamed fish tops my expectations, fresh and tender with aromatic spices and herbs. And the fish's presentation is a piece of art. For desert we had ice cream with pearls tapioca and sticky rice, fantastic finishing for our lunch!Service was excellent! They changed our plates between different dishes. The service staff is friendly and checked on us frequently.Ambiance is relaxing and cool.Definitely going back soon!

We had a decent experience at Fish Cheeks on a Thursday evening. The decor is warm and inviting, but be prepared for a loud atmosphere. We started with cocktails, trying the Nam Gin Martini (excellent for garlic lovers!) and the Low ABV Spicy Mango (a bit too sweet for our taste). For starters, we ordered the Mussel Gorlae and Squid Ink Calamari, both of which were extremely flavorful and a hit at our table. For our main courses, we opted for family-style sharing and ordered the Crab Fried Rice (so good!), Coconut Crab Curry (packed with flavor, not too spicy), and Grilled Mackerel. Our server did warn us that the mackerel was 'fishy-forward', but unfortunately, it didn't quite work for us. The fish sauce was overpowering and clashed with the sweetness of the mango, creating an unbalanced flavor profile that we couldn't enjoy.Overall, while Fish Cheeks lives up to the hype in some ways, we've had better Thai food elsewhere. Worth trying, but not a standout for us.

Excellent Thai food! Everything was very tasty. Highlights would be the oysters and clams! I thought the wings were solid but I don't completely understand the hype. They didn't blow my mind. Had the tongue and cheek cocktail, which was a bit watered down. Glad to have taken advantage of the happy hour before 5pm (available all week long). The inside was very lively but still able to have a conversation with your dinner guest. Had a nice early dinner

Came here for dinner. Ordered the market oysters and they were alright, didnt feel anything special on them. Ordered prawn karee and fried rice. They were alright as well. The ambiance was good a bit in the dim side. What I liked was the free side dish they provided: fried shrimp crackers. If the free side dish is better than their main course, then there is something not right with this place...

Yummy spot!! We had a rez for 12 on a sat and it was filling up as soon as it opened. The crab fried rice, crab curry, morning glory, all very satisfactory. We were 2 and finished everything- altho we were def full im ngl its like wild for us to go to a thai spot, order 3 things, and not have left overs (in other words, the portions r on the smaller side) More spacious inside than i would expect from this type of place. Eavesdropped on two tech bros next to us giving pep talks on how to be good managers/leaders. Want to come back and try the vegan stuff

Fish Cheeks has been on my list for a year and I finally got to try it out!We visited Fish Cheeks for my cousin's birthday and it was such a great choice! From the service to the ambiance to the food - everything was amazing! We started off with drinks and appetizers. The spicy mango margaritas were delicious but could have used a tad bit more spice. The corn salad was simple yet tasty and refreshing. And the chicken wings... I'm not sure how what they put in and on them but they are like crack (which I have never tried but I imagine it's like these wings lol). For our entrees, we always do family style so that we can try a number of options. We kicked it off with the 30 days Dry Aged Beef Kaprow and I didn't think any of the other choices could be anymore delicious. But then the Choo Chee Scallops arrived and I was blown away. Lastly, the Coconut Crab Curry came out and there were chunks of crab and hella flavor! They only had one dessert which was an ice cream and we weren't really into the description so we went to Kith instead. Needless to say, we cannot wait to dine at Fish Cheeks again!

This place was a 10 out of 10 for my entire family. It was the best experience ever. This place is packed in for a good reason their food is packed with flavor and honestly such a memorable experience The staff is super friendly and very welcoming explaining the menu and making sure you're comfortable with what you're ordering. It is authentic Thai food so it's not going to be your typical pad Thai kind of place. Everything that was served was absolutely delicious and blasting with flavor. The wings have this scrumptious rub on them that just leaves you wanting more. We got a curry lamb dish that was to die for the curry was so divine. My mom absolutely loved it and then we also got a whole fish and that was so tender juicy and so fresh in line at the same time. This place also has a gluten-free menu so if you have celiac, that's something to flag. My mom has celiac, and they were very gracious with her allergy, making sure that everything we ordered did not have gluten in it or whatever she was eating did not have gluten in it.The restaurant itself is super clean. It's really beautiful inside lots of colors and a play on the Thai agriculture and ART.

Solid spot for Thai style seafood. The main highlight was the steamed fish with Thai herbs, very delicious and surprised that it was completely boneless. Loved the Thai herbs sauce made it paired really well. Oysters, crab fried rice, coconut curry, shrimp in 3 crab sauce was all good.I did order the $10 coco bah drink. In my opinion, it was nothing impressive. It was pretty pricey considering how small the glass was and half of it was ice.Overall service was fast and workers were nice.
