This place has great food, great atmosphere and more than that a lot of heart. They genuinely care for their community and offer a safe space for creative types, families, friends and more to come interact with each other. Shout out to Justin. Really great

I returned to Father Knows Best this afternoon for a coffee business meeting and was instantly reminded why i love this place so much. It's been quite a while for me so I was very impressed with their recent makeover. They've painted the walls a beautiful beige/clay color and redid the bathroom wallpapers, which in my opinion, really gives off even more of a warm, calming vibe. The staff were just as welcoming and down to earth as I remember... actually even more so! And the food, wow. They've also somehow stepped up their menu even further! I was absolutely thrilled when I noticed they've transformed their popular cheddar scallion biscuit into a egg sandwich! What a genius idea. It was super scrumptious by the way. It was served with a delicious side salad too, so I still felt like I made a healthy choice =)After my meeting, I stayed for two more hours doing work on my laptop. I had an outlet right next to me the hold time, so I was able to keep my computer juiced up fully and didn't have to worry one bit. YMMV (Your mileage may very), but I even felt comfortable leaving my laptop on the table a couple of time when heading to the bathroom. An EASY 5/5 for me.

This is me and my boyfriend's morning coffee spot to grab a latte on our way to the office. Great STRONG coffee. We recently did brunch on Saturday afternoon, food is 10/10. The oyster mushroom hash is delicious, make sure you get the perfect bite each time hash, avocado, greens, and beet...flavor combo is crazy! & this paired perfectly with our daily coffee order.

I came here for brunch on a Saturday. They don't take reservations, but we were seated right away. They have outdoor seating in the front and back of the restaurant. Inside, they have regular tables and high top bar stool seating. To drink, I had the passionfruit caipirinha. It was sweet, citrusy, and juicy. Really enjoyed it.For my entree, I got the mushroom hash with scrambled eggs added. It felt like a ton of food! The hash featured mushrooms fried with potatoes. It was subtly crispy. Very tasty. It also included avocado, beet, and a side salad. Everything tasted fresh. Loved every bite. We also shared the cheddar scallion biscuits, which were served with honey butter. These were fluffy and delicious and the sweet butter paired very well with the savory bread.I will definitely be back!

First impression, why do I keep coming around here. I have yet to have any good food/drink from this area. Going inside I was a bit confused with the vibe. It's definitely a cafe but feels more like a take out spot than sit down. Now I never care one bit for all the things I'm bringing up but it feels worth mentioning so you are not lured in as I was based of good reviews and pictures. On to the drinks. The hot coco is beyond budget, think nestle but even worst (milo). The mule with mezcal tasted like water and a huge amount of mezcal *vomit*. Think of it like when you leave a drink alone for too long and it gets watery (in part because of the mountain of ice establishments love to pile on).BUT luckily that is where the unpleasantness ended. The chicken and waffle along with the biscuit meal were definitely worth the trip. Disclaimer the waffle has no flavor but if you get the biscuit that comes with a delicious butter you can slather that on (fyi the fork makes it hard to eat because it's constantly bending0_o). The eggs in the biscuit were not flavorful even with the deli like cheese, butter and bacon. The biscuit itself was quite good and would have been better served on its own. Overall the food is good for a spot to plot down for work seeing as it's definitely a cafe. But it is a "bar" atmosphere with the loudness of the music so maybe not ideal if you need a quiet spot to work. 100% not a brunch spot worthy of walking more than 1 (and maybe a half) block.

I have been here a couple times and have mixed feelings about it. It is definitely more of a social brunch spot than a cafe to sit and do work. Last time I went I ordered the Caesar Salad which came with chickpeas and it was very delicious! Good mix of sauce and flavor while feeling very light. In the past I did not particularly care for the food I ordered. Was not bad but was not anything to write home about. I would come back and try it again though!

Our family of four (kids ages 23 and 20) had a great dinner here during our stay at an airbnb in the neighborhood. Well above average bar food - the cauliflower wings and the spinach artichoke dip were both exceptional - good beers on tap, all reasonably priced. Super friendly service and a great playlist made for a really fun night out.

Pretty cool bar in a pretty cool part of Brooklyn. It's meant to be laidback, but the vibes are weirdly intense, if that makes sense. I also felt for the one bartender who was also taking food orders and making fairly elaborate cocktails. Don't order the tomato soup if you don't like a pint of heavy cream, and don't expect fantastic service because it's while the bartender is nice and patient, nothing happens that quickly. But if you're in the neighborhood, you could do a lot worse.

Used to love this place but it appears Managment has left the building. Everytime I come here they are short staffed, I'm waiting 15 minutes to order and another 20 for a simple latte. Really terrible to see my local favorite place go to shit.Update - came back another date to grab a quick bite, I finally sit down and wait for my order because at this point I can't go anywhere else (broken foot, and using crutches) I finally get my burger only to get a huge piece of dirty lettuce.. I am disappointed to say the least. And the wonderful girls who work there are up their necks in order and probably complaints. They need a raise and a promotion because it's clear Managment has left the building. Shout out to Brianna and Maddy!

All the food got served cold, even after waiting a while for it. Looked way better than it tasted for sure. Server / bartender was very friendly though!
