It was a typical evening on Feb 19,2025 at 11PM, and my husband and I were excited to grab a pizza after a long day. As a new mother, just one month postpartum, I was still adjusting to the physical changes and challenges that came with childbirth. One of the more difficult adjustments was dealing with postpartum urinary incontinence, which left me often rushing to find a restroom. As my husband stood patiently in line to place our order, I felt the familiar pressure in my bladder. I quickly glanced around, hoping to find a restroom so I wouldn't have to interrupt him. However, as I made my way toward the back of the restaurant, I was met by an unexpected and quite unpleasant barrier--one of the cashiers halted me with a dismissive wave of his hand, as if shooing away a fly."You need to show me some respect," he declared, his tone dripping with arrogance. Completely taken aback, I stood there momentarily stunned, trying to comprehend what I had done to warrant such hostility. "I just need to use the restroom," I managed to reply, my urgency palpable. "My husband's in line getting our pizza."Instead of showing any empathy, he retorted with an air of superiority, demanding that I should have stopped by the counter first. I was bewildered. There were no signs indicating a restroom policy, nor had anyone informed me that I needed to check in with him first. It felt incredibly disrespectful to be treated this way, especially when I was simply trying to meet a basic need, not to mention I was dealing with the challenges of being a new mother. His demeanor implied I had committed a grave offense, yet I was only seeking a moment of relief. I couldn't understand why he was acting this way--was he trying to assert authority over something that should be a matter of common decency? After a brief but distressing exchange, I opted to walk away rather than escalate it further. We left the establishment without our pizza. Instead, we decided to grab a cab and head home.On the ride back, I reflected on the incident. The cashier's attitude was not just rude; it was a reflection of someone who had perhaps lost sight of their role. Was he there to take orders or to act as a gatekeeper to basic needs? It was infuriating to think that someone could feel so entitled, wielding their position as a means to belittle others. That experience served as a reminder of how important respect and consideration are in customer service. Employees should be trained to handle situations with empathy, as rude and arrogant behavior can tarnish a business's reputation. It was unfortunate that a single employee could leave such a negative impression and tarnish our experience, potentially driving customers away.As we got home, I hoped that this incident would spur some sort of reflection or change within the management of that restaurant. No one should ever be made to feel insignificant or disrespected, especially over something as simple as finding a restroom.

There's really nothing like NYC pizza. And if you know better, you know you can't go just anywhere. This Ray's has been serving up slices with smiles for the 40+ years I've been going to the city alone.(Tourists: this is NYC a pizza joint, here's a tip on etiquette; be mindful that there's only one condiment area for everyone - do not park your pies at the condiment counter. The considerate thing to do is find a table to park your slices/pie and use the seasonings, other diners exist.)

What a great spot! I'm actually shocked at the amount of food I got for $12 in the current economic state. No joke here, I got a massive slice of pizza and a garlic knot of five with sauce for $12. We popped in here super quick before our show on Broadway started and I could not have asked for a better experience. The guys behind the counter are hilarious and charming and the food is delicious. Haven't had a bad slice of pizza in New York so some people might disagree with me but I appreciated it and I will definitely be back my next trip up there. The front is under construction based off of the block and the inside is pretty straightforward, you order at the counter and you sit at a table or at the bar. Very tiny. Very cozy, delicious food. A must try when you are on the go in Manhattan.

How can you walk the streets of NYC on a cold December night and not dip on in to Ray's to warm up and have a slice?!? The folks at Ray's stand ready to serve up a delicious authentic NYC pizza with your choice of toppings, whether you just want a slice or an entire pie. Yes, I ate a ramen dinner a little over an hour ago with some friends, but that's no excuse to skip Ray's when I travelled all the way from Utah today ... it wasn't for the ramen.

My husband had this pinned for a very long time so we finally came to try it out! It was as good as others rave about it. One slice is all you need. You select your slice and they reheat it. Dough was crunchy and it taste amazing! Great spot!!

Took a late night walk to time square and felt like have something traditional, and I happen to stumble upon Ray's pizzeria, and I took a walk inside. The atmosphere was very nice. I was greeted from upon entrance, which was very nice and I took a choice of having the square pizza and a traditional triangular slice, it was heated up for me after being heated up. It was package because I did not want to stay to eat so I took a little walk along time Square and I sat outside and eat my pizza. It was very much delicious, usually the end of the pizza would be hard, but i was able to eat everything. The taste was good texture and everything so I recommended just in case you want to settle for something traditional or not so extra so big shout out to them.Ps. I love olives and pine on my pizza

I smelled the pizza from the street and drifted in. The restaurant is long and narrow. The staff is friendly and loud. The vibe is authentic New York. This spot isn't fancy but the pizza is good. I had the pepperoni sausage and mushroom. Huge slices. Thin crust...crispy. Greasy. Flavors that take u back. No pretentious recipes. Simple pizza done right. I would have had more but they mopped the floor and the chemical smell was overwhelming. Suggest using odorless cleaning supplies. This is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.

I love this pizza! It's fast tasty and the slices are gigantic. It's definitely worth the price which is probably higher than some other pizza places nearby. I tried the ham and pineapple pizza. It was loaded. I also had a slice of the combo meat pizza. All meats were delicious. The pizza was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of crunch to it. They have a small seating area, which is very crowded. I could probably knock the score down to 4 1/2 stars just because it wasn't the cleanest. But they were super busy. Staff are hard-working and straightforward. This pizza place is the epitome of standard New York pizza in my opinion. I will be back.

Ray's was right near our hotel and when in Rome (ok NYC!), you've gotta have a slice! There were about 10 types available for lunch. The guys at the counter quickly served me, sticky my slices in the oven and I was cashed out. The slices were tasty, hot, and crisp. The place is typical NYC pizzeria, Three slices cost us $21! Not cheap but they were large and fresh. And it is NY right?!
