Chic, inviting west village brunch bar perfect for repeat friend hangouts, complete with a comforting yet unique menu, excellent service, and well executed dishes. We arrived for brunch and were promptly served just minutes after ordering. The Burger from Bar Sardine retains its uniqueness with smashed patties and amazingly delicious crispy onion. The tots seasoned with old bay were a welcome complement. The everything bagel was solid, primarily uplifted by the toppings, but sat in the shadows of the burger. The punchline: the perfect place for gathering with friends, differentiated with a unique menu that retains the familiarity necessary to accommodate multiple palates.

Awesome burger. Shame it doesn't come with sides. Moules frittes missed. Moules were gritty and fries were average. Loved the citrus fennel garnish though - that should be a side on its own. Server was friendly but all over the place. She didn't fully know the dessert menu. Speed of food prepared was very good considering how packed they were.Loved the atmosphere and interior decor. Dinner was fairly priced. Would absolutely go back for the burger and vibes!

This has to be the most overhyped and overrated burger place in NYC.Burger was dry and mid. The tator tots were standard - not sure why its called old bay. At least brunch vibes are immaculate and service was good. The highlight of my trip to this restaurant is that I literally ran into Bill Gates and his daughter outside the restaurant afterwards!

Fairfax was great for a simple, no-frills brunch that was affordable and tasty.The pancakes were a surprise hit -- a nice batter that was equal parts chewy and fluffy, with the right amount of sweetness. The candied pears were a nice bonus, adding some nice seasonal flavors and a tartness to the dish.The ricotta was also good, it tasted great on the hearty toast, and the eggs were well prepared.My drip coffee wasn't particularly good, but the latte seemed better, so maybe it's best to stick to espresso drinks.Overall, a good meal at a surprisingly affordable price, especially for West Village!

Made a Sunday afternoon brunch reservation for my friend's birthday. Food was fine? Ordered the burger and a latte and some tater tots. Both of us were excited to try things we saw online on their IG and their online menu. Neither were available. It was so loud we could barely talk. We got pressured out of our table multiple times after about 40 minutes. Also got ignored on our way out. Won't be back.

It's my new favorite spot in the city! It was so cute and intimate! It's the perfect spot for a casual yet elevated date night! It was so warm and cozy inside. It's perfect for fall!The service was lovely and the food came out in record time! We got the fish special as well as the mussels and both were so delicious! I had a dirty martini and absolutely no complaints there! It was so good! And bonus points, they have matchbooks! I would totally go back!

I came in for the old fashioned and was NOT disappointed. It's an incredible drink and I would highly recommend if in the area. The inside of Fairfax is extremely quaint and cute. We got dinner here and had such a nice time in the bar area. The service was great and the food came out extremely fast. I'm never a fan of not having water and they were quick on everything. Stop in cheers!

Pains me to do this because this place serves nothing but absolute bangers for lunch, but....dinner was a huge disappointment. As always ambiance and service were great, but the food just wasn't there. Mussels weren't cleaned well and lacked flavor, gnocchi was just not enjoyable, even the fries were soggy and bad. Great drinks & great carrots

Walked in on a holiday weekend around 2pm and we sat at the bar. Hunter the bar tender was great we grabbed some drinks and shared some tots. Just stopped by for a dirty martini while showing my boyfriend the city ! Loved how intimate the bar was and everyone was super friendly ! Will recommend!! I loved loved the dirty martini just so smooth.
