I was having an adventure in the Red Hook area because I wanted to try the Ocky way. Unfortunately, the line was too long at Red Hook Food Corp (2 hrs +), so I asked some locals about the best pizza in Brooklyn instead. In the end, I was led to the F & F pizzeria. While nothing blew my mind, I was very pleased with my Sicilian Square when I visited there. I remember it being nicely greased with fresh olive oil. It was very satisfying.I'd definitely go again when I'm in Brooklyn

Flavorful pizza place in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. It is an extension of Frankie's 457. Fairly small menu. Large interior for patrons to stand at or sit. I think they have a back garden area to sit in as well when it's nice out.We got the sausage and sage brown butter slice. Great flavor in the sauce and sausage, but the dough was very floppy. The bottom has zero crisp to it (which is at least what I prefer). Also, as you got toward the crust/uncovered dough area), the dough was definitely under salted. Zero taste to it.Heard good things about this joint. Would try again if in the area, but I would by no means go out of the way to get here

If a NYC slice and a Neopolitan pizza had a baby, it'd be F&F. Deliciously charred thin crust, with a light bubbly end.The outdoor seating was ~a vibe~ as the youths say. Staff was really friendly too. Definitely a cool place to check out. I got pepperoni, but I want to try the clam pizza next time. Looked great.

This is very good pizza. High quality crust, high quality ingredients. At this point, I've had six or seven different slices, so I can confidently say that I prefer the squares (Sicilian) to the regular slices, but the sourdough crust is tasty no matter what kind of slice you roll with. There will be a nice char (that sometimes runs into burnt, as can be expected), and they know what they're doing. The shop has wildly high ceilings and impressive stacks of pizza boxes, a beautiful backyard to sit in when there's road work being done on Court Street (the case during our last visit) and you can't sit out front, and nice folks behind the counter who will have your slice ready faster than you'd think. They have a number of specialty slices on offer, and I haven't hit a bad one yet. There's the hot sausage and sage (a nod to Frankie's most popular pasta), a clam slice, cacio e pepe and more. That said, I find them to be more understated than I would've guessed, with the flavors not as big or as bold as you might like. As such, I actually think my favorite slices are simple ones: the classic plain, and the pepperoni sicilian. Just so you know: You're going to pay more than you want to for pizza, but sometimes good food costs more. Maybe that's why I love the squares. The crust isn't just fluffier, but the slices are more substantial, and I want that when I'm paying $5 per.

Had some family visiting from Chicago and wanted a quality NY slice (not that casserole ish they have back home). What better exemplary pizza than F&F. The service and prices are on par with all the other more fancy or hyped slice spots in the area. We had run in at the end of the day and were able to grab a box of cold slices before closing so we could heat them back home. I'd be lying if I said the Partanna pizza isn't one of my top 5 slices in the city - that red onion and calabrian chili combo is tough to beat. They make the crust chewy without having to work to hard to rip it up with nice charred spots. Can't go wrong with pepperoni. Will have to come back to measure the clam pie against some others but I'd bet it's 1-of-1.

Surprised by the average rating of this pizzeria. It's a very quintessential Brooklyn slice shop with a cozy garden to enjoy your slice - what more can you ask for? The quality is also so fresh and incredibly thin, exactly how I like my pizza.Clam is really as good as everyone says, even with the steeper price tag at $7/slice. Also tried the cacio e pepe and hot sausage & sage slices - both solid. Seems like you can't go wrong with any of the pizzas here.

This spot came highly recommended by my friend who lives down the street. I am so glad I stopped by for a few slices, the service was fast and friendly. I opted to enjoy my pizza in the back outdoor seating area. Simple and delicious, quality ingredients what's not to love!? Will be back next visit to NY!

Sometimes good pizza is just good pizza but this is great pizza thanks to F & F Pizzeria's in-house Orange Blossom Honey. I started with the Partanna slice and loved the way that the sweetness from the Orange Blossom Honey balanced out the spice from the Calabrian Chili. I'm not a huge fan of red onions on pizza but this worked out well with all the other flavors. I also really enjoyed how the crust was thin and a little charred. I originally felt hungry enough for one slice but once I tasted the honey, I knew I would need at least half of a second slice! That I did and lathered said second slice in honey and Parmesan cheese. This is when I knew that this pizza was not just good pizza, it was great. I'm so glad that I visited here and expeditiously added it to my Brooklyn faves collection after the second slice. If I'm ever in that area again or in the mood for great pizza, I will be headed straight there and this time I'll try their Cacio e Pepe slice because it looked divine on yelp :).

VEGAN REVIEW Needed a little snack as we roamed the neighborhood. Sicilian red was the only vegan option-- like focaccia with marinara & olives? Anyway, it was tasty. Not sure I'd eat multiple pieces to make a meal, but definitely hit the spot as an afternoon snack. Omni daughter & sister LOVED the garlic (k)nots & said pizza was a-okVery friendly staff. Typical NY pizzeria ambiance. Which is to say-- your basic with high counter & stools. Clean. Love it!
