Eyval in Brooklyn is a true culinary treasure! From the moment I walked in, I was immediately impressed by the inviting and warm ambiance. The space is beautifully designed with a mix of modern and rustic touches, making it the perfect place for a casual meal or a special night out. The lighting is cozy, and the vibe is laid-back yet upscale--definitely a place where you can relax and enjoy a great meal. The service at Eyval was exceptional. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely knowledgeable about the menu, offering helpful suggestions and making sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. It really felt like they cared about the experience they were providing.Every dish we had was bursting with flavor, but the true standout was the Kabob Chenjeh. If you're looking for an amazing meal in Brooklyn, Eyval is a must-try. The food, service, and atmosphere come together to create a dining experience that's truly memorable. Highly recommend!

My friend was able to score us a resy for this place and I was so excited. I have always loved Iranian food but I feel like it's not something I come across as often. The interior was super cozy but ended up being much bigger than I expected. I had always seen pics of the front room but there is a back room that's much larger with plenty more tables. The waiters were helpful with recommendations and very attentive. I came as a party of 4 and they recommended we order 8 dishes. That was a little aggressive, we ordered 6 and a dessert which was way more than enough. We shared the barbari bread, the mushroom borani, the citrus date and cabbage salad, the eggplant & cured yogurt dish, octopus kabob, kabob koobideh, and the lamb rack. Of all the dishes, I was most dazzled by the eggplant and the cabbage salad. Something about the tahini dressing and the citrus balanced by the dates made it so refreshing and a flavor explosion. I also got the pomegranate whisky sour which was delightful. You honestly can't go wrong with anything you order here. For everything it was around $75 pp which wasn't bad for the amount of food we got. Would definitely come here again!

Eyval is absolutely phenomenal. If you love mediterranean food, consider Persian food a close cousin -- the flavors are fresh, unique, flavorful, and abundant in texture. The ambiance is incredible, service is fast and coursed out well, and the food is incredible. For a party of 4, we ordered the following, which left us satiated and not overly full.To start:- Barbari Bread (5/5): this bread was so delicious, crisp, and the perfect vehicle for the dips we ordered. I loved it so much, and it came out warm and the inside was fluffy.- Mast o Musir (5/5): this was my favorite dip because it was cold! The strained yogurt was light, tart, and flavorful at the same time, and the shallots added the perfect texture.- Mushroom Borani (5/5): this one was also so good and also yogurt based, just served warm. The mushrooms were so succulent and I found myself just eating spoonfuls of the mushrooms with the yogurt on its own.As appetizers, smaller plates, and larger plates: - Citrus Date & Cabbage Salad (4/5): the salad was so fresh and tasty, and I loved the oranges! The dates were also a unique touch, nicely sweet. - Lamb Ribs (4/5): ribs are on the fattier side but they are the perfect, small size and soooo tender/fall off the bone. Had a bit of spice but would definitely recommend to try as this is one of their signatures- Eggplant (5/5): if you order anything, you MUST order the eggplant! I don't love eggplant and this dish took me by a surprise. IT was sliced so thinly and the eggplant melted in my mouth like wagyu! Loved the garlic chips on top too for a diversity in textures.- Kabob Koobideh (4/5): would recommend this kabob for sure. Usually, kabobs tend to be dry, but this one is soooo soft, flavorful, and also almost melts in your mouth.- Tahdig (3/5): This is the only thing I ordered that I would not recommend. Flavors were a bit oddly sweet and the scorched rice was very tough to bite through.- Half Chicken Fesenjoon (4/5): the chicken was so juicy and tender, and the skin was so nice and crispy (almost tasted similar to a roast duck, but this was a roast chicken). I was not a huge fan of the pomegranate walnut sauce though, since it was a bit on the sweet side too,Overall, I was in love with all the apps, dips, and smaller dishes. Definitely come here with a group so you can try as much as you can!

Eyval stands out as a contender for one of the finest dining experiences I've ever had. The ambiance is both upscale and inviting, with an open kitchen where you can witness the culinary magic unfold. Bar seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis, which is advantageous given the difficulty of securing reservations. We arrived just after opening and narrowly missed the opportunity for seating, but we were content to enjoy a drink across the street. Although it took about an hour to be seated, the wait was undoubtedly worthwhile. The presence of many fellow Persians in the restaurant was always a welcome sight.Let's begin with the drinks. I chose the Persian tea-infused old-fashioned mezcal, a perfect blend of three of my favorite elements. My girlfriend selected the sumac-infused beers, which were equally impressive. In summary, every dish was exceptional. The Barbari bread paired with Mast o Musir was outstanding, as were the Fesenjoon and Ghormeh Sabzi, which truly stood out.The bartenders were exceptionally attentive and courteous. My only gripe: where were the ghand (sugar cubes in Farsi)? I ordered a tea after dinner and was disappointed to find it unavailable.Overall, Eyval is an excellent restaurant, and I will certainly return. It sent me into a frenzy, as pictured below. The pleasure? It was all mine.

There are so many things I loved about Ey-Val. First, was the open kitchen concept. The chef seemed like he knew all the regulars, always a good sign. Second, bar seats are first come, first serve for walk ins and those spontaneous people who don't plan every dinner out. Third, the food and drinks. Some of the best I've ever had. Lastly, the Persian music that constantly played. The food was to die for. Thick creamy Mast o Musir (yogurt with shallots) and freshly baked barbari bread was the talk of the night. Kaske bademjoon (eggplant) was really flavorful and a unique twist on the original dish. For the mains, the gourmeh sabzi (greens and beans stew) and fesenjoon (pomegranate sweet and sour chicken) hit the spot. It was some of the best Persian food I've ever had but please don't tell my Maman!!!!The drinks were also a 10/10. I was trying the back home beer flavors while my boyfriend was going for the Persian tea infused mezcal old fashioned. Such a unique cocktail menu. I truly cannot wait to go back!

the best dish was definitely the mushroom borani appetizer with the breads, everything else was good but not super memorable. The ghormeh sabzi was my least favorite and it was the main - kinda one note and nothing punchy in flavorVibe was cute, service was great!

One of the best meals l've had in my life!!Beef koobideh (good but nothing crazy - similar to regular kabob places) Lamb ribs (the best thing here, you have to order this)Chicken with fesenjoon (very good) Ghormeh Sabzi (very good, made with short rib which was a stand out)Beef Chenjeh (very good but nothing crazy - good typical steak, didn't taste like barg)Tahdig with beh (one of the best dishes, super flavorful, the beh was sweet and sour in the best way)Khashk eh bademjoon (very good, not ur typical style but still fun, I would order again)Barbari and Maust o Musir (elite - have to order, best I've ever had)Doogh cocktail (good but wouldn't order again, tbh l'd skip the drinks and focus on food)I want to go back already. The service was amazing. Our server wasn't even Persian but she understood everything. The music they played was classic, Moein, Ebi, Googoosh. The chef was in the back and we gave him our compliments.

We get the hype around Evyal--everything we tried was delicious! For our group of five, we ordered seven dishes, four breads, and two rounds of drinks. Here's the breakdown:Breads:* Komaj Bread: Soft, fluffy, and my top pick.* Barbari Bread: Savory, with a flatbread texture that my friends loved.Dishes:* Whipped Feta Spread: Meh... not a hit for us, it was pretty bland.* Mushroom Borani: Juicy mushrooms that my sister couldn't get enough of.* Eggplant & Cured Yogurt Kashke Bademjan: Creamy, melty eggplant + yogurt = the perfect dip.* Ghormeh Sabzi: The short rib was melt-in-your-mouth tender, though we wished the meat had more flavor.Items No Longer Available :* Pumpkin: My fav--soft pumpkin with a sauce that was delicious.* Seared Tuna: A bit fishy, but the sauce saved the day.* Lamb Rack: We're not lamb fans, but our friends loved it!

Eyval is a vibey Persian restaurant in Bushwick. Multiple rooms with ambient lighting and aesthetic decor. I had a reservation and got seated immediately. Our waitress gave us lots of great recommendations on what to order. They recommend ordering multiple things to share family style (the best way to eat at restaurants imo). Here's what we got: Komaj bread: 7.5/10 incredibly soft and has a slight sweetness. We got this to have with the whipped feta Whipped feta: 7.5/10 super fresh and light. I enjoyed the crunch that the walnuts added on top and the flavor combination with the mint leaves was nice Citrus date salad: 8/10 I love dates so I knew I'd love this. So fresh and flavorfulEggplant: 8.5/10 this was incredible and had a great melt in your mouth creamy texture. The flavors were so rich Lamb rib: 9.5/10 a must order. SO flavorful and tender. By far my favorite Blood orange fereni custard: 6/10 good but not a standout to me. Would order a different dessert next time All of these were the perfect amount for 2 people. I had a great experience and would definitely come back here to try more dishes.

Here are some notes/thoughts I jotted down from my recent trip:Sesame bread: came steaming, great texture and shape, not overly oily light on flavor, light crust with and airy middleEggplant deconstructed dip- great textures, creamy and crunchy and roasted, a great starter to pair with the bread with the perfect amount of onion and shallots that doesn't completely blow your palette Lamb ribs: so incredibly tender, rendered to perfection, a touch of heat but also sweet, smaller size so good for 2 ppl love that the sauce was thicker and coated the ribs nicely Crispy rice: also the halfway between sweet and savory, the sauce feels simple and complex at the same time. Feels like something that has been simmering for days in a pot Stew: such a delicate, fatty and comforting dish. The aroma that overwhelms your senses just from opening the lid takes you on a journey somewhere, even if you haven't traveled to its origins, keep in mind it is definitely on the salty side but I love salt the batsmati rice is flavorful even on its own. This isn't something I'd normally gravitate towards but it is an absolute must. So cozyAbsolutely loved every single thing here
