We were hungry for some Dominican roast chicken with rice and beans and this place wasn't that far from home so we decided to stop by. They had pasteles/empanadas, an array of hot foods, real cafe con leche and an espresso machine.I walked in to a space filled with light and a sraff of smiles. I looked at the menu and took the #1 combo, a whole chicken, choice of rice (yellow or white), and beans (black or red), a salad and a 2 liter drink for $16.95 great deal? Uh yes, it was. Glad we got there when we did, because we got the last chicken I was worried that it would be dry, but when the cut it with the shears, the juiciness was still there. They gave me plates and utensils, so when I got home, everything was played and devoured. It was really tasty. Now we have a Brooklyn spot for good Latin food.

I purchased breakfast; tres golpes ( Mangu ) & they thought it was appropriate to send my food looking like a sloppy joe burger . Will not be ordering from this establishment again. Very dissatisfied & disappointed!

That's it, I'm finally done with Exquisito. I moved to the neighborhood almost 2 years ago, and this place was one of the first I went to. Disclaimer, the food is absolutely incredible. The service, depending on who you are, is terrible. It will be made clear that you aren't wanted here. Depending on where you come from. My old roommate/long time friend and I (they were Dominican) used to go here fairly often without much issue (hair in the food once). My roommate moved out a few months ago and suddenly everything changed. I go to this place at least once a week. I don't speak Spanish very well, but I try when need be. The ladies behind the counter are absolutely hateful to me. I mean hateful. It's painfully obvious. They sigh, they roll their eyes, they rarely make eye contact, they act like they absolutely hate making my plate. It's insane. I've been in the food service industry myself for almost 20 years, and I've never, ever, not once experienced such hatred as a paying customer. I've given this place so so many chances. I would go in, and be the kindest most friendly person I could be. It was never once returned. I had patience because of being in the industry but it ran out one day. I finally decided to quit going in and instead decided to order delivery. Seriously the food is so incredible. I never wanted to do this because I can literally see the place from my bedroom window. I just simply couldn't go in anymore. Cut to tonight. Second time ordering delivery. I order around 8. Around 8:30 I get a call saying they don't have what I ordered. I first try to cancel, but the woman says I can't cancel through them. Fine. Please replace the order with something else. She says no problem. I wait, and wait. I'm hungry. After an hour and ten minutes go by I begin to lose my patience. I've paid for and asked that someone take some cooked rice, beans, and chicken one half a block down the street. The food, ALL OF IT, is already prepared!!!! Nope. I called GrubHub and got a refund. I then ordered from somewhere else, for pickup. While I was out getting my food, Exquisito finally decided to show up. Sadly I wasn't there and my roommate accepted the order without my knowledge. I gave it to her and ate my food from the deli. I will never ever go back to this place or order food from them again. You win Exquisito. You've made it loud and clear you don't want my business, and so you won't get it. Such a shame. I've always been kind to you and your staff and I rave about your food to friends.

Que lo que! Lol This place is the nicest Dominican spot I've been to in Brooklyn so far, it looks like they recently opened. I was attracted to how the exterior of the restaurant looked and the inside is nice and modern looking. The food looks delicious and fresh in the window. The atmosphere is nice and so are the employees. They are so sweet. I've had their empanadas the first time I stopped in. The empanadas are perfect and just the way I like them and how they should be. I'm here right now again writing this review.Today I ordered beef ribs w/rice nd beans w/ sweet plaintains, also with an order of chicken and cheese mofongo. I can't wait to try it and will be posting pics. This place is a must try!

From the moment you walk outside the restaurant you smell the delicious food that stimulates your appetite. I've been coming here along with my coworkers almost everyday . There food is really amazing, we can't get enough. Also they have reasonable prices and serve huge portions. The atmosphere of the place is industrial like all the new restaurants opening up in Bushwick and a touch of modern. It's very clean which is a plus. The staff is really friendly here too, which is important. Recommend if you live in the neighborhood and looking for lunch or want some fresh food Dominican food. So darn delicious! Thank me later ;)

Food was delicious! I'm pregnant and wanted Spanish food in particular Dominican food! This hit the spot. I had the arroz con gandules, fried plantano, steak & peppers, and a green salad. My husband had the same rice, chicken in sauce, and a Dominican version of lasagna I forgot the name but it's made with sweet plantains instead of the lasagna strips. Everything was delicious. Not as hot as I'd like my food to be tho. But it was already made, you just have to pick out and tell them what you want. The portions are great. I actually got a slice of flan to go and had to bag some left overs to go. This place was nice, clean, not busy, and don't be afraid to communicate in Spanish even if you don't soak much of it.

Never had domincan food and had high expectations but this place didn't make it's match. Very hidden on Gates. You can eat to-go but there are limited seatings provided if you perfer to eat in.There is No menu provided. Food is setup where you look and decide what you'd like to order. Little english spoken and it's not best suited for introverts since you kinda have to ask what is in front of you. Ladies who work here aren't welcoming and you can tell who they rather want to help which is kind of discrminating. Prices aren't provided so we asked & the worker said there is the 6,7, or 8$ sized bowls. We ate in house that is served on a large plate. A GOOD AMOUNT WHEN COMES TO PORTIONING. Tried the Goat meat w/ what I assume was "mexican" rice. Goat was very flavorful yet chewy and had many bones. Rice wasn't as good but it had different add-ons such as cilantro, pinto beans etc.As we were finishing our meal, The bill came out higher than expected. I guess it was from the beginning how my Bf told one of the ladies that it was his first time here. Lesson learned.

By far the cleanest looking Dominican fast take-out/point at the food in the steam trays restaurant I've ever been to. The food looks and tastes great too. Prices are good. My Beef Short Ribs with rice and beans with some plantains was $7.
