Encore Pizza

Great little hole in the wall that we randomly stumbled upon. Staff were a little standoffish and the space was a little dated and dingy, but the food was exactly what we were looking for!

Encore Pizza seemed to have recently opened up in the Midtown area, and after having a day full of eats, we decided to check this place out for a late night eats after digesting for a bit.We were greeted and welcomed warmly right away; there were a variety of pies where you can order by the slice - we ended up ordering:+a vegetarian slice+a supreme slice+a BBQ chicken slice+a Sicilian square+and, a fountain sodaUnfortunately, the pizza were just less-than-mediocre - while the crust seemed thin and crispy, it seemed to have been overcooked; the actual crust itself tasted like cardboard and wasn't foldable as it just cracked and fell apart.The toppings, while super plentiful and very generous, were just bland - even adding the grated parm and the chili flakes didn't help much.There are some seating in the back, but I feel that the staff could do a better job in wiping down the surfaces.I was surprised at the number of large parties coming in, as this place seems to be a preferred option for those in the area.I'm glad I was able to check this place out, but wouldn't return.+hard, cardboard-like crust+super generous toppings, but bland+warm and friendly service+seating available in the rear

It was a cheap and reliable slice in the city, nothing too fancy. Just a simple slice for $5. If you want something without a wait and just a good plain slice of pizza thus is the place to go. It was not overly greasy like alot of slices are, but its also nothing too special to come far for

Well my quest for the perfect slice of pizza in NYC continues. I had high hopes for Encore but my expectations were too much. The pizza crust is nyc thin with the right amount of droop when folded. Outside was crispy but not much chew. The cheese and pepperoni slices seemed sweet to me. Maybe added sugar in sauce? Prices were good for Broadway and convenience is high. The tables on Broadway are a nice place to eat and watch the city go by. Encore tastes like a lot of other fast pizza joints nearby.

Good, no frills pizza. The pepperoni had a bit of a spicy kick, which wasn't bad but not exactly what I had been expecting. I also got a slice of the white pizza with fresh tomato, which was really nice. The guy behind the counter was really nice, as well.

Absolutely awesome! The crust had this crispness that accented the sauce and meat so well. The guys behind the counter were very chill and I felt like I was IN New York eating New York pizza. I knew I was going to be in for a treat when we walked in and New York's finest were getting pizza! This place did not disappoint!

Great place to stop for an NYC slice! I love the crust here and it's one I always eat all of. The employees are friendly and fast. I only knock off a star bc they could do a better job keeping the eating area clean. The pizza alone is 5 stars!

So yum. Staff lovely. Crust an excellent level of flakey. A very decent slice. Often im disappointed by other places margarita slices , can be so inconsistent. This one was heavenly. Plain slice could maybe use a lil more cheese but thats just the way i live life lol. Also inside there is tons of seating with a wooden interior design. i was so surprised : this is Not a hole in the wall but a place you can chill out. Nice.

They are closed...a new pizza restaurant is in their location.A friend had recommended ENCORE, saying that it was the best in the city.
