Empire Steak House-Times Square

I stopped by for drinks while waiting for my sister to arrive. We were having a staycation at the Hilton next door. The bartenders are very friendly n courteous. I sat at the bar n I had a tall glass of Prosecco to start. It was so perfectly chilled it was so refreshing! I never had it like that! I did get served home made potato chips, so crispy. Then since my sis was running late I had a glass of Aperol spritz. Served in a beautiful "E" logo glass. Presentation makes the drink even taste better. I did notice a huge selection of top short tequilas, whiskeys, cognacs even Louis XIII.

Craving a steak, nearby the hotel, great reviews....yep, I'm in.I was participating in dry January but wanted something that looked like a cocktail, they don't have a mocktail menu nor quite the mixers to accommodate, but the very young man behind the bar offered to make me a Shirley Temple. Perfect! What I used to drink when I was 10, but it was fun to have.I ordered the petite filet, medium plus. It initially came out, way under :(They took it back to cook a little longer and when it returned, it looked perfect! Until I got to the last 1/3 of it. It was way overdone on one side. SO SAD!The tenderness was there, the flavor was mostly there... but it was really uneven.They were super apologetic and offered to make me a whole new steak. I could not eat an entire new steak at that point, so I declined. They did accommodate a discount and were very sorry for the mishap, so I do have to give them points for that.I can appreciate sometimes things aren't perfect. But they tried. And I appreciate that as well. At least the first 2/3 was pretty much perfect...after sending it back the first time. I would still come back, the quality of the food was very good! And the service was great.

Food;Enjoyed some happy hour $2 oysters. Very delicious. Had the Fried Calamari and the New York strip steak and the New York Cheesecake for their $60 restaurant week menu 3-courses.Delicious meal. Steak was cooked perfectly.Starter bread was also great with some butter.Service:Amazing service. Attentive staff. No complaints.Ambiance:Small restaurant with ample seating with classic New York Steakhouse vibes.

The ambiance and service was top notch in this Times Square gem. The service was very attentive with a great wine selection. They offer by the glass, half bottle, and full bottle. The bone in ribeye was cooked to perfect and seasoned very well. I would highly recommend! The lobster pasta is perfect for someone with a smaller appetite. The baked potatoes are absolutely massive and is big enough for 2-3 people. The desserts are all homemade and are excellent. I highly recommend the NY cheesecake and Apple Crumb Cake!

Ridi the manager made our entire birthday dinner phenomenal! 10/10 recommend! My daughter was upset we didn't make it to our reservation at another place. But coming here she was so happy!!! Food was amazing service impeccable! Do yourself a favor and come here!!!

Amazing service by the front of house staff, including the manager. We visited this steakhouse in early November for dinner. Everyone is very knowledgeable, efficient, and kind. The restaurant itself was clean, inviting, and comfortable. The food was extremely delicious! Everything exceeded our expectations and then some: the steaks were cooked to perfection, juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Honestly, the best bite of a steak in a very long time. Our next NYC visit will definitely include this as a dining spot! Highly recommend their New York strip... sooo good!

We stayed in the wonderful Pearl Hotel next door and came in, initially for the convenience. But in a city known for its endless good food, this is a place I would happily return--a pretty big deal considering how much FOMO I experience just being physically present in Manhattan. The $50/pp theater menu is a real steal: app, entree, and dessert, plus the bread basket. At the end of the meal, the manager also brought over complimentary glasses of port. It was the small touches like this that made it such a fun and welcoming experience. Our server, Besart, also deserves a shout-out for a job well done.True to its name, Empire Steakhouse smells so powerfully and deliciously of grilled beef that you basically don't have a choice but to order the steak. It's like Cinnabon for carnivores, I don't know if they're piping it in or what, but I've never been to a steakhouse that smells so JUICY. Anyway, the lobster raviolio and tiramisu were also fantastic, though the calamari was probably my #2 fave after the steak.Classy date night and also big enough to bring friends.

By way of introduction, I travel all over the world and eat the finest food--from food trucks to 3 star restaurants. I am fine spending a lot of money on food as long as I know the prices as listed on a menu or reader board. That said, I live 2 blocks from this location and pass it on my way home from work. I used to go here once a week during happy hour, the time I am headed home. I stopped going after 4 visits during which I asked the price of a glass of wine, was told the price then charged $3-$4 more. I told the manager and the price was corrected but with attitude. Recently I returned for the convenience and a reasonable burger for the price. On both occasions the issue with the wine price occurred--quoted $10.95 a glass then charged $14.95--again, the price was changed, but with attitude. "the bartender made a little mistake"--6 times? In my opinion, it is house policy to charge more than prices quoted. It may be a great steak house with lots of merits, but I highly suggest you check your tab before paying the bill. Over charging is NOT OK. You set your prices, honor them.

Horrible service!Steak was average not worth $$$.So noisy you could not carry on a conversation. Took 30min to get drinks. Then they brought French fries. After we ordered food took 2 hrs to get food. Over charged for ice tea and had to argue with waitress to get it corrected. Table behind us cancelled order due to taking too long to get food. Sad experience
