I'm a big fan of Emmett's on MacDougal and was excited to visit Emmett's new restaurant! The vibe here is totally different and the food is different too. The ambiance is definitely curated and it works. On a Friday and Saturday night, this is a place to see and be seen. It's fun! You may find it too loud. I did. Also, I had a 9:30pm dinner reservation and wasn't seated until closer to 10pm. Also, we were seated right by the bar, and when I asked about being seated in the dining room, I was told I'd have to wait another hour. I wasn't amused. Ordered:Caesar salad- $14- it was a really nice size and was delicious! Two of us shared it. I'd definitely order this again. Chicken Milanese- $26- this was really good! It has a really large arugula salad and was fresh and great. The chicken was crisp and not too greasy. Chicken parm- $28- I was pleased that this came with pasta. The pasta was too al dente for my liking. The chicken was good. Not my all time favorite, but tasty. I was full and didn't have room for dessert regrettably. Overall, Emmett's on Grove is a nice addition to the neighborhood! Will I be back? Potentially, but I have to say, the original Emmett's is more my speed.
