Valentine's Day bakery run to my new favorite spot. They launched a few vday specials, including pretzel hearts, interlocking double pretzels and cookies. The cute heart shape has instantly stole my heart. I shared it with my bf and we both thought it was the best sweet pretzel we've ever had. *Strawberry Pretzel Heart $8I loved their regular sweet potato pretzels. This vday special flavor was not only pretty but also very delicious. It was brushed with strawberry glaze, and topped with pink sugar. The texture of the pretzel was soft with a slight crunch on the crust. 10000/10!They gave us a small tub of strawberry cream cheese frosting and OMG, it deserved my highest compliment: not too sweet! The dip was so creamy, making it a double strawberry treat. Not sure will the pretzel hearts still be available after Valentine's day, but if they do, RUN DON'T WALK!!

We stopped by Elbow Bread while we were in the area - we stopped by as we saw a few people coming out with purchases. The place is very small, as it's more of a to-go type of a place; there is a small counter that can possibly fit 2-3 to enjoy your treats. We tried:+the Schmaltz Scallion Pocket+a cranberry muffinThe schmaltz scallion bread was tasty, as there was a savory-ness from the chicken fat.Staff were pretty welcoming and friendly.Great stop to pick up some snacks.+various pastries+friendly service

As soon as you walk into Elbow Bread, you're greeted by the pleasant smell of freshly baked pastries and bread. Everything I tried was tasty and well-made. The only thing I'd suggest is expanding the drink menu a bit as I felt like there weren't too many unique options. The service is standard, friendly and efficient. Note that the space inside is small but overall, it's a solid spot for anyone looking for fresh bread and pastries!

Everything I tried here I loved!! Pretzels were a little on the small side but the flavor and texture was incredible. Both pastries I tried were amazing.

cute little pastry shop - tasty stuff. tried a few things, easy favorite was the challah honey bun. It was fluffy with a beautiful caramelized exterior, nice subtle sweetness, super addicting. Also had a savory (scallion?) roll and the dark chocolate rugelach, both great.

Elbow Bread was awesome! Their pretzels were served fresh and paired perfectly with the Kasha latte that was made of buckwheat. They had so many delicious looking goodies and I wanted to try them all! The service was excellent as well and I got a run down of all their product. Looking forward to going back for more holiday treats, as they have some specials on the weekends and during different times of the year.

Having been following chef Zoe since her days at Simon & The Whale, I was very excited to see her taking over the Mel space. I love that the offering is unique - different to everything else in the city. The Almond Elbow was my favorite! My friend loved The Walnut butter/date sandwich. We also enjoyed the Spinach egg sandwich, Palmier, and Potato Knish. I enjoyed the buckwheat drink and appreciate having an alternative to coffee. It's a tiny, yet special spot. Unfortunately, we got there too early to try the pretzel (they come out at 10am), so we'll have to come back soon!

Worth the hype in my opinion! We loved all the pastries we tried which were a lot of traditional Jewish baked goods with a twist. My favorite was the malted almond elbow!

Fun little bakery to stop into while shopping around LES. The sweet potato pretzel was so cute with its little hands. I accepted a small cup of stone ground grainy mustard for dipping however I found that I didn't need it at all. The space inside is super small and not meant for lingering long but there are 2 benches outside for enjoying your purchases.

Wow! Just amazing. In short order this has become the best bakery in the city. Everything is incredible and menu changes often. Nori chocolate chip cookies, knishs, and well eveything else stands out - hehe. The kasha latte to wash eveything down highly reommended. Karen will be back!
