EKO Restaurant

This is a hip establishment. The music is hip and the ambience is chic and contemporary. Many of the patrons were dressed up celebrating birthday parties and other festivities. This food is African with a Caribbean twist. I recommend the oxtail dumplings. Can't go wrong with this choice. Another must try is the Salmon sliders. The service can be improved. At times , I felt we were waiting in vain for our waitress to return to our table.

Very chic spot.Decided to give it a try. The food was just ok. My main issue was the extensive wait for the food especially as it wasn't particular crowded. Food is on the pricier side. Drinks were ok.As they are relatively knew and finding their ground I won't count them out. Will try again in a few months.

This is a nice restaurant. It isn't large but the ambiance is nice. There is a parking lot which makes it convenient since it is in Brooklyn. It was my friend's birthday so she booked the back larger room. We had to wait an additional 1.5 hrs to be seated. The food was ok. The best food was the rice. The salmon tasted like the cheap salmon that is frozen. The drinks were ok. If I return it would be for drinks and the vibe not really the food. They play good music including Afro beat music. They have vegan options.

The good the music was real good and it's a pretty nice place. The bad the wait was way too long we had reservations at 9 we didn't get to our section into 10. It took so long for them to just bring drinks and appetizers. I didn't get to my main course into 11.

The food here is pretty good. I really enjoyed my jollof rice and salmon. The service was great and our waitress was very helpful. Only thing is the restaurant is pretty dark, it was dinner so that was probably the ambiance they were going for but I like to be able to see my food when I'm eating it.

The food was great but the service was left to be desired. I went for a birthday brunch and it seems that we were irritating our waitress but we didn't let that ruin our experience. Will try again.

I'f you're looking for a nice upscale restaurant thats aesthetically pleasing with good food & great customer service, check out eko restaurant. I had oxtai dumplings and jerk crab cakes. the crab cakes had a nice crispy texture on the outside and soft and flavo on the inside, the dipping sauce was so good and creamy. The oxtail dumpling was my favorite the oxtail was nice a tende the sauce that came with it was sweet so a hint of spice.

What can I say ? I have heard about this place for seasons and because I have been on a MISSION to find some good authentic Nigerian cuisine I decided to swing by last week . The place is so pretty . Vibrant greens and bright, good music ... but we got there and they didn't have a bartender. (Because she was late/ and when she came strolling in she looked like a whole party so we understood why) but regardless to that, our servers didn't even know the menu . When we asked how many oxtail empanadas came in an order she said "huh, we have that" Oh brother... then we ordered our drinks and honestly, for a new establishment, the cheap alcohol was already a red flag . The majority of their cocktail lists were bottom barrel mixes (they even have a drink with henny and hypnotiq smh) To the food, we decided against the oxtail empanadas because if the waitress didn't even know it was on the menu , that means noone orders it , I'm good .The food was ok was TINY ! He ordered oxtails and jollof rice - loved it but finished it in less than 10 bites- I had the okra with shrimp & fufu , I asked for spicy, it came out bland and no pepper at all .... Even when I added more pepper it did nothing ... because the drinks were trash and the food was mid AND the portions were entirely too small- I guess I am still on my mission for some great nigerian good

The vibe of this place was very nice. The music was jumping. The waitress and host were so attentive, they recommended dishes. The place is very welcoming. The rum punch was so good. I definitely would order it in the future.

Party of 3 on a Wednesday night. I literally rsvp on site on my way to the restaurant. Although our party was initially short one person we were greeted and seated immediately. Few moments later while enjoying the aesthetics our friendly , vibrant and welcoming server Zymone arrives. She introduces her self and ask abt our missing third party and offers to hold off on certain orders in order to give our late friend time to arrive. The food, the music, the staff were all great. But the prize/highlight of the night was Zymone. She is a wonderful asset to this establishment. It was my first time going to Eko and was hesitant based on reviews. But Zymone made sure we laughed wanting to come back sooner then later. @Eko Zymone is that girl she is a top tier server. That young lady has a bright future; beautiful spirt. Thank You Zymone for making our evening special.
