The perfect meal on a cold and rainy day. It's quick, affordable, and consistent. You really can't go wrong with any of the noodles. I got the Signature Lanzou Beef Noodles ($13) and the Lamb Dry Noodles ($13). Both were delicious but i'd say the dry noodles were a standout for me because it was so flavorful and had a good kick to it. I also love that you can pick out the type of noodle you want for each dish! There's a good amount of seating but I could see how it could get packed pretty quick. Highly recommend takeout if you're coming during a lunch or dinner rush. I did feel like the service was a bit rushed even though it was pretty empty when I went, to the point where they wanted to clear our plates before we were even done.

This was a cute little noodle place with heartwarming soup. I wish I added more things to it cuz the baseline is actually not that much food--just radish and some meat. The soups were pretty much ready immediately, which means if you're hungry, they definitely got you with fast service.

Dun Huang is one of my go-to spots for cozy food. Their signature Lanzhou beef noodle soup hits the spot every time (especially with their extra wide noodles). I also deeply appreciate that all of the Manhattan stores have a promo going on for customers which combat price increases in which their signature noodle soup is $9.95 instead of $13. It goes to show that they care about their customers and I love supporting them for this. For this noodle soup, you can ask for the non-spicy option and then ask for chili oil on the side so you can add as much or as little as you want. Also highly recommend their kelp salad and mung bean jelly noodles! Service was quick and friendly.

One of my favorite Chinese spots for some quick and delicious homestyle noodles! My go-to order is always the N1 Signature Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup, which always hits the spot no matter the time of day, but hits especially well when the air is brisk outside. I'll sometimes add a Chinese Hamburger if I'm particularly hungry, which pairs flawlessly with the noodle soup. Service is probably the quickest and most attentive I have seen in NYC, and prices are still reasonable. 5 stars!

If you are looking for affordable noodles soup in Manhattan, you should check out Dun Huang . This spot is famous for its authentic Chinese Northwestern cuisine.Their noodles are handmade and hand-pulled to perfection. We tried their signature Lanzhou beef noodles and it was very good. The broth was rich and aromatic , the beef was so tender. The noodles had the perfect chewy texture that only comes from being freshly made. Also must try is their sweet and sour short ribs . The balance of sweet and tangy flavors left us craving more.Whether you are looking for a quick bite or leisurely meal, this spot has you covered. The service is quick and efficient, making it ideal spot for a lunch break or a quick dinner after work.We ordered :-Signature Lanzhou Beef Noodles-Boiled Fish-Zha Jiang Noodles-Kelp salad-Lamb Chinese hamburger-Sweet and sour short ribsFollow @spinx17 for more NYC food adventures!

Solid food. Functional space. No frills really but overall it's clean and comfortable. Service is quick and efficient. Food skews spicy. That should be obvious. But there's complexity underneath the spice. And I love how lamb is a big part of the menu. Mutton was nice and gamey. Spiced beef, mouth watering chicken and pan fried noodles were all done well. Will have to come back for the Lanzhou noodles.

Yelp tip to check in and show the waitress for an eggplant salad!! I really wanted noodles and Dun Huang was a convenient spot close to Grand Central, but away with some tourists. It was super open around 2pm on a weekend, and service was very quick. The broth left more to be desired, but is a quick and easy spot to grab a bite. I just got the langzhou la mien which was decent, but not great.

(Overall: B) - Danhuang seems to be quite a reasonable option for relatively affordable and quick Chinese eats with a modest interior. The food seems to be flavorful and authentic, and would recommend overall. (Eggplant Salad: B) - The cut side of the eggplant is able to absorb the flavors quite nicely; however, unlike a cucumber or some other vegetable that is able to maintain a crunch. Nevertheless, this is a simple dish that works quite nicely as an appetizer.(Mouthwatering Chicken: A) - Flavorful chicken that has depth of flavor built from both the poaching liquid and the sauce on top. (Sweet and Sour Ribs: C) - These ribs develop some pleasant flavors, but for some reason these riblets do not have much meat attached to the bone.(Lanzhou Noodle Soup: B) - The noodles have beautifully developed flavor and pair well with the soothing soup that is primarily white pepper and msg. The few slices of meat and daikon are tender and reasonable given the pricepoint. --Food: +1Presentation: E Price: EAtmosphere: EService: EMenu: +1 Overall: +2 BInsta/Beli: @amei_eats
