This is located in 8th Ave Sunset Park. Staffs were friendly. Ordered braised pork ribs with rice. It came with spared ribs, bok choy, and fried egg. This was very filling. You paid up at the cashier when you leave. Drinks: 4/5Service: 4/5Ambience: 4/5

Overall: 4.5/5If you're craving cheap eats and good comfort food, this is the place! They have a combo deal that includes the signature noodles, Soda and a burger for around $13. I think it's super worth it. The only thing I would say is that the lamb burger isn't made like a typical 肉夹馍. The burger itself isn't flaky which was a letdown but still very good. The noodles itself was super flavorful. You can choose your spice level and of course I went with no spicy haha. Food is served very quickly and the service/ambiance was very nice. I am definitely coming back to try other items on the menu!

Came for lunch on Monday and was seated without wait. We ordered the signature Lanzhou beef noodles one spicy and one non spicy version. Food was served quickly. I had the spicy version and the soup was not spicy at all. It was a good touch of spice and overall tasted good. The noodles are nice but seemed to clump together. I noticed a few small clumps that weren't cooked properly. Other than that, the noodles and flavors are good. Would come back to try the beef burger / sandwich and the cold noodles.

If you're looking for a quick dinner spot in 8th Ave, Dun Huang fits the bill! Emphasis on the quick. Not even 3 minutes in, our food came. You can customize the noodle type, but I got the regular lol. Regardless of the dish being labeled spicy, you can ask the workers to lower the spiciness which I appreciate. Some stores are hard set on their spice level. My Braised Beef Sirloin Noodle ($9.50) was not shabby at all! I didn't know how much I missed Lanzhou style noodles until I had this. The spice was right at my tolerance, and the broth was so flavorful! The noodles were also rightly soft and had good pull. The meat was sort of dry, but not a deal breaker. The Stewed Pork Burger ($4.25) was sadly small, but tasted great! The smell reminded me of soup from home, but the actual taste was not as pungent. The meat wedged between bao really warms the heart, although I do wish there was just a tad more flavor. You know a spot is authentically Chinese when they have C-pop hits playing. They didn't check up on us to refill our water, but they sure knew when to drop the bill. Nonetheless, they seem to be very clean, and still give out disposable utensils. With the attention to cleanliness, comfortable ambiance and great food, I'd totally come back whenever I am craving some noodles!

Ordered takeout from here on a weekday around 5pm. Place was empty and workers were just sitting around chatting.I ordered the Signature Lan Zhou Beef Noodle, soy & wine braised beef noodle, and a spicy cumin lamb burger. Total came out to be $26. Very affordable food. Only had to wait 10 minutes, so pretty quick but then again, I was the only customer inside. They packed the noodles in a separate container from the soup/broth, which is good for takeout -- you don't want to end up with soggy noodles by the time you get home and eat. I wanted to try this place out because I was in the mood for some spicy noodles. The signature lanzhou beef noodle is supposed to be spicy because they also have a non spicy option on the menu. I asked the server for extra spicy too, but upon first sip of the broth, I did not find it spicy at all. I see chili flakes in the broth so I know they did add some sort of spice but the spice is so mild that I don't really taste it. I was left disappointed because I wanted a spicy noodle. Other than that, the noodle tasted good but pretty basic. The broth for the braised beef noodle was also not spicy at all. Unlike the lanzhou soup, i didn't see any spice/color in the braised beef broth. Mind you, both noodles came with a chili sign (indicating it's spicy) on the menu so I'm not expecting something that's not supposed to be there. So if you're a spicy lover and came in expecting spicy noodles, go somewhere else. The braised beef was super tender though. The spicy cumin lamb burger was good too -- not super flavorful but it was still good. $5 for one, not a bad at all.Overall, I would rate this place a 3.5 star. It's a decent, affordable joint in sunset park neighborhood, but the noodles left much to be desired.

3.5/5: Surprisingly enjoyed the appetizers more than their noodle soup!Chicken Salad: not really a salad because this is Kou Shui Ji, which is chicken in chili oil. The chicken is near perfection for me: soft and thinly cut, perfect for the sauce. Good portionMung Bean Noodles: I did think these would be a lot thicker but really enjoyable as well! Texture is good. I ate it together with the cold chicken dish, which you should totally do as well as it's a great combination per bite! Signature Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup: here's where I was a bit let down. The noodles itself are good, but everything else is just on the plain side for me. If you're looking for a cleaner tasting noodle soup, this is probably it, but I was expecting a little bit more spice, a little bit more flavor, just a little bit more overall. Spicy Cumin Lamb Burger: the lamb is decent, but the burger (bun) part is a no

Loved everything here from the service to the food. I came here on a weekday afternoon and the restaurant was almost completely empty. I ordered their recommended noodle dish and it was absolutely delicious. I also ordered the mala potatoes as an appetizer but it was way too heavy for one person. I would definitely come back here with the bigger group and explore more of the menu.

The hand pulled noodles are freshly made here and is probably my fav dish here. I personally think their best stuff is spicy so if you cant handle spicy I wouldn't like it here. The classic spicy beef noodles and good and the spicy burgers as well. Their chili oil is good so don't forget to add more if you like your dishes extra spicy!

Starting off, they barely greeted us in the entrance. They never brought water over until we specifically asked for water. Usually water is brought without asking. Their whole attitude was nonchalant and uncaring. Took forever to bring us a spoon despite us being the closest to the kitchen. The food represent the workers' attitude. Seeing the reviews, I expected it to be more flavorful but the taste greatly disappointed. While the environment was nice and looked clean.

This place has gone downhill real fast. I walked in no one noticed us waiting for a seat. The cashier is too busy counting money to even acknowledge us while we're just standing there waiting to be seated to empty restaurant. She flagged down the waitress that's too busy on her phone looked like she so nonchalant and uncaring towards us. The cashier told us to sit anywhere so we sat down and NO ONE bothered to greet us or even bother take our order for at least 10 minutes. No water or anything. The waitress is too busy still on her phone or cleaning a table across from us. The whole place was dingy and felt like they're lucky to have any business at all. We just got up and left to take our business elsewhere. No one noticed that we even left. The cashier in the front as well as the waitress could've careless that we left. There are so many other options on 8th ave that we found much more enjoyable. Would never go back to support this business. They just don't care.
