The exterior of the building is serene and exquisite. I thought I was seeing double when I looked at the name plate. The raw beef has a complex flavor, with a combination of sourness, saltiness, and freshness. The sushi is very fresh. The wagyu in the wagyu sandwich is fried. It would be better if the second piece had some variation in texture and taste, for example, adding wasabi or other pickled vegetables, which would make the flavor more diverse and each bite different. For the appetizer, the oysters are different from the large French oysters eaten plain. In the US, they are small oysters with different flavored sauces on top. The beef and sea urchin nigiri is very fragrant. The daiginjo sake tastes great. The dessert is different from American desserts. Its advantage is that it's not too sweet, so it won't make you gain weight. I don't know why Americans are so fond of Japanese cuisine. Is it the influence of Japanese anime, or perhaps because Japan was once prosperous? There are many Japanese restaurants in New York.Regarding the environment, it would be nice if the restrooms could be cleaned in a timely manner, which would enhance the overall experience.

Ridiculously tasty hand rolls which are basically open faced rolls. Atmosphere and service are excellent - everything we ate was delicious. Start with the tuna cones, super fun.

Need a casual dining experience that is still titillating to the taste buds? Sushi Chef Jiro's omakase experience will not disappoint your stomach nor eyes! The price point is also something your wallet will be pleased with, too. Tucked away in an unassuming small food court, the 3-seat countertop offers diners an up close view of each of the 14 pieces being created (with concern for individual diner's dietary restrictions/allergies, too). Refreshing (complimentary) hot green tea was served with our meal. And don't be afraid to use your hands to pick up the nigiri... as you can see from the photos, some of the nigiri is stacked rather delicately and not conducive for less-than-skilled chopsticks users to test their hand at balancing acts. My friend and I watched on as our nigiri was flambéed, infused with smoke, and shaped into delectable works of art. And let me tell you... the fresh-tasting fish, caviar, truffles, rice, and other culinary elements well-exceeded every one of our expectations!!! My friend even started 'happy fat kid' humming midway through the meal. I also greatly appreciated the conversation held with Jiro and his wife--they spoke Mandarin Chinese, which was a pleasant surprise!Service, food, value...everything was wonderful, and I am still dreaming of this Jiro's sushi (albeit, he's not the famous Jiro from a well-known documentary). Can't wait to visit NYC and Domo Sushi again in the future!!!!

Make reservations ahead of time! We had a party of 6 and we were able to sit by the counter. The staffs were friendly and omakase were delicious! It is located in a food court and we went with live music. The dessert matcha coconut panna cotta was delicious and creamy.Would recommend coming here again, pay cash to avoid credit card surcharge.

It was overall an excellent experience for the price. The fish and ingredients are excellent. The chef keeps things very seasonal and fuses elements of Thai and Italian into the food. Normally I'm a purist but this was done really well.

What a gem!! Unique omakase experience, where the restaurant is located inside Mott street food court. The restaurant has a total a of 3 seats at the counter. Very intimate!Out of all the omakase places I have tried (about ~12 places to date) this one definitely is one of my favorites!Staff are very polite and inviting! We bowed to each other like 20 times throughout dinner! Super sweet lady working besides the chef! Chef Jiro uses top quality and freshest ingredients. Each piece was beautifully crafted, leaving u moaning for more. I can't stop thinking about it! I cannot wait to be back!Call for reservations! $60 for 9 pieces; $100 for 13!

This omakase was so lovely. Didn't know what to expect walking into the food court, but the reviews are true to their word - this unassuming spot is such a treat. They kindly seated me as a walk-in and quickly served me before the next party was supposed to arrive. I had a lovely time chatting with Sally while Chef Jiro crafted delicious and creative nigiri pieces. The flavors were unique, different from the other typical NYC omakase spots in a good way. It was a very special experience, I'd definitely come again! To reserve for omakase, you just have to call them. They don't do online reservations

Came here with a good friend because we saw the high reviews, and thought the $100 Omakase was a good deal for what you get. It came with 13 courses, plus a hand roll and a dessert. This little unassuming sushi bar has very tasty sushi with high quality fish, and awesome boujee seasonal toppings. I always enjoy truffles, caviar, foie gras, and gold flakes though I know the latter is probably a hot take as it adds nothing outside of style, but it jus looks so cool . Most importantly, the fish itself is never overpowered and always feels like the main feature. I also loved the dessert - a super creamy and not overly sweet matcha panna cotta that was made fresh in house. I think this was a perfect amount to leave satisfied and not overly full. Having done 8 piece and even 20 piece Omakase before, this is definitely a happy medium. Our sushi chef (I believe the owner?) was cool and funny too! He was super busy making takeout orders for others in between our courses, but he still answered any questions we asked. Maybe you won't get as much of a full conversational experience as you could elsewhere, but that's why we bring friends anyway right?Overall solid recommendation from me, 5/5
