I've been meaning to write this review for a while. Two winters ago a friend and I specifically tried to find a place where we could bring my perfect dog inside with us, as it was subzero temps. A google review for this place said that this was dog-friendly, I mean look at the name! Of course it was! Just kidding! No dogs allowed! We sat outside and at another place under heat lamps and almost froze out tit$ off! Now my questions is, why put the name dog in there, if you cannot bring dogs in there. Why Dog and Bone? Now my next question is: can you bring bones in there? What kind of bones? If I present you the most perfectly behaved bone, that would just sit at my feet, wandering off only every twenty to their minutes or so, to emotionally comfort a stranger having a bad day, possible turning their life around, would you turn that bond away? Would you send that bone back out into the cold? I'm not saying people should roll up with a bunch of bones or anything, but I'm also not saying that. Or maybe rename this place to: No pets allowed but you can bring a femur. Just really got mixed messages here and my feelings and tit$ were hurt.

My wife works down the block from Dog And Bone so this is my usually happy hour spot while I take our dog into the city to pick her up. The happy hour is from 3-7pm and the prices are actually great for the city. $7 for their draft and $8 for well drinks. AND the bar provides outdoor seating for you and your dog! The location is perfect to have a dog friendly bar because it's right along Baruch's entrance, so there's a long walking path. I get to enjoy a drink while my dog people watches and says hi to other dogs that pass by. I've had the same server every time I've been here and I have to say he's very accommodating. He always checked in on me to see if I needed a water refill or another drink. Something I appreciated since it looked like he was serving both indoor and outdoor seating. 10/10 service. I'd give this place 5 stars if their food was a little better. The price of the food is a little too high for what's being served in my opinion. But I will get their truffle fries as a snack every now and then.

Hopped in here for a drink because it was raining. Super chill bar with a casual ambiance. Bar tender was attentive but didn't talk to you much (which I've noticed seems to be common of a lot of NYC bars). They have a pretty good cider selection which is a bonus for me personally !

The only British pub that satisfies our hankering for London Pride. But after trying their weekend brunch I am a fan! We recommend the: 1. Full English Breakfast (they made it vegetarian for hubby, but the baked beans were awesome! )2. Smashed Avocado Toast3. Fuller's London Pride (of course) 4. Apple Mule

One of my fave places in the city and I'll still go back for the great bartenders and ambiance but.... What happened to the amazing Mac and cheese? I got something VERY different today...completely tasteless yellow cheese elbows vs. absolutely delicious white cheese shells. Please tell me this isn't the case at the Churchill, bc that Mac and cheese was/is (?) the GOAT.

Came in on a weeknight for happy hour which I believe started at 4 and definitely goes to 7. Happy hours that go to 7 are my favorite. This one included well drinks, select drafts, bottles, and wines for under $10. I got a bottled blue moon for $8, which I think was only a dollar or two cheaper than its non-happy hour price, but savings are savings. The menu had a good number of options. I went with the fish and chips. The fries and fish were great, but I wished my fish was a bit bigger. The bartenders were very friendly. I don't think there was table service as I noticed people at the tables coming up to the bar to order (I sat at the bar). When I arrived at 5:30 it was fairly empty, but the place definitely livened up by 6:30/7. I would come back for another happy hour or to try brunch!

Wait: Saturday brunch- none.Food: -Breakfast wrap 9/10. The eggs are so fluffy. Kinda like powdered eggs but I think they're real. There was also a ton of egg, you either got a bite of egg or a bite with all 3. You could taste the cheese only slightly, I wouldn't be upset if there was more. Bacon was cooked well. It was on the softer side, which I like much better than a super crunchy slice; it fit into the wrap well. And the crushed avocado just added to the flavor. Good wrap altogether. -I got a salad as my side. Maybe mesclun mix with cucumber, tomato, and balsamic dressing. -Potatoes were good as well (Kyle says). Cooked perfectly and seasoned well.

Considering how often I come by Dog & Bone on a weekly basis, I'm embarrassed that it's taken me this long to leave a review!I absolutely love this place. It's my go-to recommendation for any unplanned casual meet up in this area. Some of the pros:- Service is honestly second to none. To a person, every staff member here is super kind, friendly, and great at taking care of the customers, no matter how swamped they get.- They allow dogs (gasp!) at their many outdoor tables, which is reassuring given the name.- Their food is surprisingly good! I've had a number of dishes, and have been consistently pleased with the quality and portions. Their hummus and veggies plate is a particular favorite. If you're looking for the latest craft microbrew, or a vintage 1957 merlot, then sure, this place isn't for you. But as far as welcoming, casual spots go, Dog & Bone is really top of the pack! Great option for food and drinks in a laid back setting.

Small English pub with table, high top, and bar seatingI came for brunch with my friends and we were the only ones that were there (which should have been a sign)The staff were very friendly, but they did not have many options and the quality of the food was poor. I got eggs, bacon, and potatoes, and none of it was very goodHave a dart board though!
