So I will say I chose a different place a week ago but it was just substandard....but I made the right decision and gave District Tap House a try and boy was I impressed. This place is pretty large (from outside you don't think it's as big as it is). The bar is huge and there are ample tables in the restaurant. There is also a second bar behind the curtain all the way in the back (it seems like that bar is reserved for private parties).Make sure you make a reservation it was only fairly busy when I arrived but quickly became crowded. Most of the tables upon leaving had the reserved placards on them. Our waitress was very efficient and helpful.......I was stumped on which entree to choose and she advised that the chicken sandwich was delish and she nailed it. By far the BEST fried chicken sandwich I have had in years, lightly breaded and straight out the skillet (it was bought to me piping hot) with a side of fries with a whisper of sea salt.....10 out of 10 on this dish. Our waitress was on point, we never had to ask for anything she kept checking on us and refilling water and making sure our needs were met (sorry I forgot her name).My friend order the chicken wings (and to my shock, he normally doesn't share lol) and they were crunchy with just the right amount of spice. I appreciate that although you can choose a dipping sauce that it wasn't actually on the wings (sometimes it's just too much sauce for my liking). It wasn't actually so good I ate the wing as is I didn't try the accompanying sauce.Didn't care for the dessert but everything else was outstanding.

Friday at 6:30 . Coming from work and having had a long day and week , I was looking forward to having a drink and meeting some friends .It's unfortunate when you have bartenders who don't understand the business of customer service or maybe she just didn't like us or was having a bad day but nonetheless . As a local , I would never go back nor recommend this place solely based on the female Bartenders attitude ( who the people I were with agreed with). We would have stayed for more drinks but didn't feel all fuzzy ... We had some beers , wings , fries and shishito peppers . In general , this place is great for groups , or anyone for that matter who likes a casual , fun atmosphere close to the garden , etc .The host who helped me find a place / seat at the bar was great !

Came across this spot as we wanted to be near Penn Station (10 min walk away) and was impressed with how large the space was (looked small from the outside) and their take on upscale bar food. They have a HH from 4-7 with a $12 jalepeno margarita, $10 house wines and $6-$8 drafts. We tried the goat cheese croquettes which were phenomenal- the Aleppo honey sets it apart! We also tried the fried chicken sandwich and the mac and cheese and both were great. Service was excellent and prices were reasonable all things considered.

Stopped in for a few drinks. I was immediately received by Darren who was very cordial and found me a seat at the bar. I watched the Rangers game and the bartenders were very attentive. The bar was very nice with a good crowd.

We went in to catch a World Series game and were seated at a table with a private TV monitor It was cool since we could focus on the game there as well as on the big screens around the restaurant. Service & vibes were friendly and chill. The food was decent-- we tried the classic buffalo wings, which were just okay. Still, we'll definitely be back for the big games!

The surface was fast. They kept on checking on us. The vibe and ambience of the place was really really cool. It was also playoffs so there was space yet. There was an awesome crowd cheering and the food was absolutely delicious high-end nachos with brisket and the chicken wings barbecue style we're absolutely delicious. I agree Best place ever!!

Great spot to watch LA Chargers football! Went to this bar to watch the Chargers playoff game and it was a great environment! As a Chargers fan in NYC, there aren't a lot of dedicated spots for Chargers fans. The drinks are good and reasonably priced and the food was very good as well! Despite how busy they were, we were still served relatively quickly. Would definitely return for a Chargers game or just to meet up with friends for a few drinks!

Service wasn't great at the bar. Wings were good. 3/5 starsBartenders need more training on customer service

Went here after reading some reviews. Pretty standard NYC bar but I was there for the District burger. It did NOT disappoint. Juicy and absolutely delicious. I would walk there again just for that burger. Exactly what I wanted.
