Just walked from Joes to Di Fara. This place is way better than Joes pizza IMO. John was a very nice guy here at the counter. Plenty of seats and even a power bank phone charge station which I thought was dope. PIZZA WAS FIRE AF, nuff said

Apparently this is a famous pizza shop in Brooklyn. We were surprised to find a location in seaport on our way to the Tin Building so we had to stop by.We got two slices. They had the thinnest crusts I've ever had. Too thin for my liking.

Haven't made it to the original Brooklyn location yet but noticed this outpost opened at the South Street Seaport. There are a couple tables/chairs up front. Nothing spectacular about the seating area. There weren't a ton of options to choose from at the counter to order. We sampled a slice of each pie they had. The chaos slice was very tasty with all the toppings. The classic cheese and the pepperoni square were also very delicious and crispy. While it was a very good pizza experience it wasn't the out of this world experience I was hoping for. Hoping the Brooklyn location lives up to its legacy. Also staff was less than friendly, just slinging pizza as quick as they can.

My wife and I did a quick stop to get a Regular Sloce and it was exactly what I was looking for. For $5 the pizza had a solid, thin, and crunchy base topped with a tasty and zesty tomato sauce, cheese, and basil. They warm the slice for a few minutes and are quick to ring you up. This location is small but we ended up devouring the slice in a minute so we didn't even need to sit down. One of the best SIMPLE pizza slices I've had in NY.

Was planning on grabbing a slice of pizza at a very famous pizza shop yesterday and a friend of ours suggested we try Di Fara instead. It was mid day on a Sunday and there wasn't a wait for the pizza which really surprises me after trying it. The cheese pizza and meat lovers were both delicious. The crust is crispy/slightly burnt and there isn't a lot of grease. The tomato sauce was amazing and I think I could put a full pizza down by myself from Di Fara's!

I never had the chance to try the OG place, while the famous Dom was serving up epic slices. From what I heard. So when I found out it was in Manhattan, I had to try it. We got two regular pies and they hit the spot. The crust, sauce, cheese, basil on top. It was all great. Would def order again from here. Location- not bad. Especially if you are in the area. Price- average considering cueeent inflation.Def stop by!!!

Pizza was good - I tried the regular pepperoni. Not too rich. If you're in the area, definitely worth a try!

You like great New York pizza with amazing crust? If you do, Di Fara's pizza is for you. The place isn't large but it's in an old district in New York by the Seaport and has that old school vibe. Di Fara was founded in Brooklyn (we went to the Manhattan location) in 1965 by Dom Demarco. He passed away recently but the pizza has not lost any of its quality. This is an iconic pizza and it lives up to its name. No frills, great sauce, perfect balance of cheese and amazing crust. Service is as you would expect for a pizza place but you are really going there for the taste and experience not the service. Tons to do after as well at the South Street Seaport....I highly recommend this place if you are downtown New York.

I never had the opportunity to hit up the mecca of pizza at the original Di Fara location when Dom was still around so I don't know how great that slice was. I was in NY recently to do a pizza tour and we hit up this spot. I saw a lot of reviews putting this place down and calling it bang average. I have to say, it wasn't one of the better places we went but I was still a fan of the cheese slice. I did enjoy this more than Bleecker St pizza cheese slice. I wouldn't go out of my way for pizza here but if you're in the area and wanted pizza, you could do a lot worse for food around here! 3.5 star slice

Only got pizza from Too Good To Go but it was a great experience. Super kind guy behind the counter who helped get my slices, pizza was tasty, decent spot to sit inside or out. Really liked it here.
