The pizza here is amazing! This is the best square I have found in NYC. The sauce is chunky and very flavorful. It's definitely a mess to eat but it's worth it. This is a small shop and pizza can take a while to come out but it's well worth the wait. There are a few tables inside and it is very smoky from the oven. The staff was kind and friendly. If you are in the area, definitely stop in!

I ordered delivery from here. I got an Original Square Pizza. It was pretty good, but I expected the dough to be a little more deeply cooked. The slices were much lighter and airier than they looked, and had a fluffy, soft crust. The sauce was slightly sweet. Probably won't be a go-to for me, but it was tasty enough. I also got a dark and white chocolate toffee cookie. It was quite soft, and a bit too sweet for me. The cookies and crème krisp bar was less sugary and would be great for any marshmallow lovers.

I was first here a long time ago back when the owner was still there. The slice was better quality than most but not something I'd wait in line for again. The next time, I was here with one other person and we shared the Di Fara Special Pie which has 8 slices with sausage, peppers, mushrooms and onion for around $35 or so. For the toppings, the sausage quality was alright while the mushrooms were good. It was a tad salty while expected for the toppings. The crust in particular is good quality here with some crunch and a good texture and the tomato sauce is fine and not too sweet. The slices are a bit pricey but good quality and certainly better than the usual slice so the extra price made sense but there's better spots in Brooklyn in terms of closer like Lucia's of Ave X/Luigi's/Spumoni (though a different type) and other better spots in Manhattan like Bleecker's or John's of Bleecker.

It was my first visit back to this place in 7 years. First time since the legend passed away and control switched handed. I just got a slice today instead of a whole pie. $5. On surface level, kind of pricey for a single cheese slice. I got one that was fresh out of the oven. The bottom was crispy. The crust had great texture. the cheese and sauce were on point. I did feel that the slice had light on cheese and sauce once past the pointy end of the slice. I would definitely come back again. Just a bit pricey and out of the way if you're not from the area. Definitely slices just as good in Manhattan.

Considered the best pizza in all of NYC and one bite it's easy to tell. It's incredible. Worth the hassle of getting to Brooklyn if you're not already close by. Inside only has 2 or 3 tables, but cool pictures of famous people on the wall. If you love pizza, this place is a must visit.

Di Fara is a perfect slice. Crispy crust, sweet but slightly spicy sauce, pepperoni cups that cradle greasy flavor in every bite, and a couple leafs of basil. The store looks like it hasn't been changed since before Brooklyn was gentrified. That adds to a great ambience for folding a slice in your right hand and leaning over to avoid greasing your shirt on the sidewalk. A top tier NYC area slice and perfect example of what a good pizza should be.

Great stuff happening here. Flavors were all there, crust was just a bit too tough. With some minor improvement this could be a top 15 slice for me

BLUF: Disappointing. We stopped by Di Fara for a mushroom slice, which cost $6 -- which was $5 for a regular slice plus $1 for the mushrooms, including tax. The slice was disappointing. While there were a lot of mushrooms, there was little cheese. The cheese was slightly burnt, as was slightly over a quarter of the pizza bottom, so there were charred flavors in parts of the pizza. The pizza slice was quite greasy, too. Di Fara's now-defunct location in Williamsburg Market served better pizza.

If you're craving an unforgettable pizza experience, head to Di Fara. Their sauce is a unique gem that stands out in a world of pizza sauces. While Una Pizza Napoletana, Sally's Apizza, and Lucali offer solid pies, Di Fara's regular pie reigns supreme. The sauce's exquisite taste is unmatched. Trust me, avoid the square pizza and stick to the regular pie for the ultimate flavor explosion. Writing this review has me yearning for another visit.
