One of my favorite places to go to in the city, for brunch, drinks or dinner! I've been many times but for brunch, I like getting their croissant and/or homemade banana bread to share and avocado toast for main. Their Negronis are very good. For dinner, their burrata is very good. I also enjoyed bucatini, linguine al frutti, and branzino. For dessert, their tiramisu was very very good and I liked the apple galette as well.Service tends to be quick and very friendly, and the ambiance is I would say New York casual chic :)

Dante is a lovely small (and busy!) restaurant on MacDougal street with another location a few blocks up in the West Village. The menu at this location is different than WV and focuses on Italian-style food. It's busy and loud, so plan accordingly. Drinks are outstanding - I love the Cosmo Spritz and Espresso Martini. To eat, you must begin with the Burrata (very fresh and flavorful), and the Focaccia is also a must. I had the Cannelloni as my entree, which was perfect. I appreciate the smaller portions here so you can try more items...but I do think it's a bit overpriced. I wish there were more vegetarian options on the menu, but at least the options I do have were tasty. For dessert, the Sticky Toffee Pudding was my personal favorite, and the Carrot Cqke takes close second. The Chocolate Cake was a tad underwhelming.Dante's truly is a must, and I may make it my goal to try everyone's cocktail on the menu - I just wish it wasn't as crowded and pricey!

walked in on a Sunday at 2pm. Got bar seats immediately. Ambiance: CozyService: AttentiveCocktails: didn't order food this time but ordered only cocktails. Figs & chandon: 6/10. More bitter than sweet and slightly effervescent. I would like to try their other more popular drinks next time like the chocolate negroni or espresso martini! my fiancé ordered the old pal, it was a nice rendition of a negroni and i give it 6.5/10.

Bugs Bunny would have enjoyed this carrot cake! Came for a quick drink and a snack. The margarita was excellent and the carrot cake had the perfect amount of that cinnamon spice taste and aroma! Will be back

Delicious! Breakfast was fantastic and the service was great! Highly recommend the prosciutto and poached eggs as well as their pancake- they were so good! We went to their Caffe Dante location and it was not too busy.

Came for brunch and enjoyed delicious shakshuka and a seasonal bellini. Staff and servers were all attentive and nice. Very cute, but a bit of a small space, however, and some of the tables are inconveniently set in walking paths. Wound up changing tables due to this, but they were accommodating with that.

I went to this spot a good long while back for lunch/brunch. The staff was pleasant. To drink, I went with the Tequila & Apples for $19 with Dobel Diamante tequila, calvados, allspice dram, and fluffy green apple juice. It was excellent with a nice presentation. A bit of sourness from the green apple and some sweetness from the calvados with a bit of spice as well. Would recommend. My main dish is something that's not on the current menu so I am unsure the price but I believe it was around $20. It was a baked dish with eggs, mushrooms, and cheese which I believe was fontina or something with a similar flavor. I had asked between this and another mushroom dish and the waiter had recommended this one as it was more filling. The egg layer was soft and there was good earthiness and richness. They gave some bread as well which was tasty. The food here was very tasty. Particularly good cocktail and a good dish that likely could work for brunch or lunch or a light dinner. Mid 4

The martinis at Dante are unmatched! I tried every single one on their Happy Hour menu, and each was the best I've ever had. The flavors were perfectly balanced, showcasing creativity and precision in every sip. The service was great as well. The vibe of the place is sophisticated yet inviting, making it the perfect spot for a classy Happy Hour. If you're a martini lover, this is the place to go in NYC. Highly recommend!

I'm not usually one for super trendy restaurants but I really like Dante. I think the GV location is less of a scene than the WV location.Had dinner there on a Monday night and it was packed (we had a res). That said, the service was friendly and quick. It was lively but you could still have a conversation and it has the cute, classic village vibe.Really enjoyed the seafood pasta, classic Negroni, and mussels.

Came here for dinner to celebrate a friend's bachelorette and had a great time. We were seated at a long table in the back of the restaurant which offered a sense of more private dining space while still being part of the restaurant. Dark/moody ambiance with some nice unique decor. This place is most famous for their drinks, which were all very unique and stunning in presentation. I got the Garibaldi drink for $15 (with their "fluffy" orange juice and Campari - it was very cute and delicious!) the foam on the top was very fun to drink. For food we shared their burrata (very yummy!) and I got the bucatini pasta ($28), which was a slightly spicy tomato-forward pasta with long noodles. It was delicious but the portion was way too small for the price in my opinion - in retrospect I would've gotten another pasta with more protein.
