Daddy O's was a restaurant I remembered from my days living on Staten Island. They were amazing back then - I couldn't imagine them being anything other than delicious, now. Luckily, their new restaurant on 4th Avenue is only a short stroll from our current house. The man and I decided to give the new location a try, on Date Night. We walked in around 6:15pm and only one other couple was in the restaurant. It was dead. That broke my heart, because this place is set up for "Game Night". This place is set up for crowds. This place is *not* meant for silence (other than the upbeat music playing in the background). And I read the reviews; Some were far from flattering. Frankly, I didn't buy it. I didn't buy the negativity. I know this restaurant's potential because I've dined at this restaurant back in their hay day. I needed to see this restaurant, for myself, at their new location. The man and I were greeted by the *sweetest* waitress. She handled our drink orders and explained everything on the menu to us. We weren't interested in appetizers, tonight - We wanted the meat, and make that a double. The man and I both ordered the 1/2 Rack of St. Louis Ribs. His sides were Brussel Sprouts and Coleslaw, my sides were mashed potatoes and coleslaw. Fifteen minutes later, another young lady brought our steaming-hot orders out to our table. Our waitress checked in with us to see if we needed refills (we did) and we dug in to our entreés. The ribs were *PERFECT*. Very tender but not fall-off-the-bone tender. Although they offered a house barbeque sauce to go along with the ribs, they didn't need an ounce of it; They were seasoned perfectly. Not too little, not too much. Of course, this didn't stop my Man from basting his ribs in the savory house barbeque sauce that was generously supplied to our table. As far as the sides went: The coleslaw was dressed in a vinegar-passed dressing that was shockingly divine! The brussel sprouts were delectable, as well. Mashed Potatoes could have used less milk and more butter, but I happen to be a mashed potato snob, so maybe other people would find them fine, as is. The corn bread was a delightful ending to such a delicious platter of cuisine. Sweet, moist, rich - Perfect. The total for the bill was reasonable. Affordable. On our way home, we passed the restaurant's kitchen door. The man and I easily cheered at the kitchen staff "Gentlemen - Tonight's dinner; Bravo!"We're definitely intending on returning, soon.

Wow wow wow! I just had an incredible meal at Daddy O's BBQ. First lets start off by saying the service by Priscilla was too notch. Sweet and very attentive. The ambiance of the place is really really cool. If you're a sports nut like me, then this spot will fill all your needs. I had the two meat combo. The pastrami and ribs. The pastrami was delicious, but those ribs were next level fall off the bone amazing! The corn bread is fantastic and adds something sweet to the tanginess of the BBQ sauce. The baked beans may have been the best I've ever had. Ladies and gentlemen if you are in the mood for high quality BBQ, I say run to DADDY O's immediately. I know I'll be back.

My family and I decided to stop by this BBQ restaurant and it was tasty. I had the brisket mix and match combo while, my mom had pulled chicken mix and match combo. She thought there was too much salt. Still servings was well portioned. Service was nice. It wasn't as loud, so that was a plus.

Modestly sized new BBQ w/a separate bar plus table seating in Bay Ridge. Great, attentive service with reasonable prices and very generous sizable portions. The St Louis Ribs as pictured are huge. The Staten Island Bomber sandwich in the background is overstuffed with brisket & Mac and Cheese. Well recommended, and we'll definitely be frequenting this place again.

If you want Ribs, this is not the place! Has all the atmosphere of a great sports BBQ bar and most of the food is just decent and the service ok! But do not, I repeat, do not order ribs here! My entire table ordered their only style rack of ribs, St. Louis, and they were horrible! Not even baby backs on the menu! They were extremely small, way overdone with zero taste and no meat on the bone! A place like this should pride themselves in Premier ribs! Not knowing who you're dealing with in the kitchen these days, we decided to suck it up and eat them and not send them back! Instead they should be ashamed of themselves! There was a reason why the place was empty on a football filled Sunday! Go to Skinflints if you want a decent rib in Bay Ridge or head to Dino BBQ in Park Slope!
