We arrived around 11:30 PM and they still served us. They gave us an excellent service. The food was incredible! My husband used to work at an Italian restaurant and he said it was the best Alfredo he's ever eaten. The osso buco was out of this world. The octopus was so tender! Our waiter was very kind as well. Would 100% recommend on your trip to little Italy!

My whole experience at Da Gennaro was amazing & I can't wait to go back! To start, the hostess and waiters were so kind and very helpful when we had questions about the menu/wanted any food and drink recommendations to try. Really loved the vibes inside as well :) We had the bruschetta to start with and it was really good - small but yummy! I got the chicken parmesan and it was a large portion (so heads up!!) but it was so delicious - it's a must get. My friend got the Rigatoni Melanzane and really enjoyed it (the portion here was also very generous). To end, we finished off with the tiramisu. To me it was a 5/10 - I have definitely had better tiramisu in the city but it's always a must try to finish off the meal. I highly recommend checking this place out and giving it a try. I will definitely be back!

There's an undeniable charm in savoring authentic Italian cuisine with a fine bottle of wine along Mulberry Street in Little Italy, and Da Gennaro captures that essence perfectly! This delightful little spot has quickly become one of our favorites. The service is exceptional; the staff goes above and beyond, even crafting off-menu items to accommodate your cravings. I can't resist ordering lasagna whenever I visit an Italian restaurant, and Da Gennaro's version did not disappoint! Additionally, I requested a side of angel hair pasta, which wasn't on the menu, and they graciously prepared it just for me.

I ordered the papardelle campagnola and then this came out. Clearly it was fettuccini and I asked them to change it to papardelle and they said they changed the menu and did not disclose that.When I told them, they said they ran out of papardelle and could not adjust the item.How do you run out of pasta??

Food is good. It's not your authentic Italian food. Service was OK. Ambience pretty small. Great place to go when it's a random rainy day. Price is reasonable for a typical New York City.

Quaint atmosphere, great service! They were very kind and attentive. I really enjoyed the lobster ravioli. I could taste the many layers of flavor and it wasn't too heavy or too light of a meal. The salmon was also great! Light and a great flavor. I look forward to returning and trying more items.

If you've been to Little Italy, especially during San Genaro, then you know it's a plethora of restaurants vying for your business. As I got to the corner of Mulberry Street, I looked up and decided to Yelp this place. I saw positive reviews, and figured let me check it out. As soon as I took two steps, someone was putting the menu out and asking me to check it out.We were immediately seated at the last table outside. The staff was welcoming and our order was taken quickly. Ordered the bruschetta and penne vodka. The wait was short and the food was okay. I would say the bruschetta seem liked the regular bread they serve with a piece of mozzarella Theon on top and basil-- the penne was a little better.Overall, I would say excellent service, decent prices with average food. This wonderful find was discovered in Little Italy. I was very happy to order the fettuccine Mare Monte, it was amazing! Mine was made with gluten-free pasta (penne) and it was done perfectly! The sauce was creamy, and all of the ingredients were fresh. The environment was casual with doors that were opened up so it's sort of an eating outside feel but covered since it was raining..The server Elvis was very knowledgeable and gave a little history of this wonderful restaurant. The food, drink and check were all brought to me in timely manners

From the starter bread, to the last bite of the vodka pasta -- perfection! The atmosphere is warm just like the staff. Elated we decided to stop by and enjoy a bottle with late lunch!
