Amazing food, friendly service with a great taste in music. My girlfriend and I enjoyed the charcuterie board, an Anglianico wine recommended by the server, the beef ragu and the lamb ragu. All were excellent, will return

Highly recommend this little Italian spot in Prospect Heights. It is an intimate space where guests can see into the kitchen. There is an emphasis on Italian natural wines, and Alessandro comes up with great ideas based on your tastes. The highlight of the menu is the homemade pasta. We had the Amitriciana and the Lamb Ragu, and they blew us away. I have paid much more for similar food in places like Bad Roman or Sant Ambroeus. Because it is just the server, a chef, and a dishwasher working in there, things will take a bit longer than in a large restaurant. Fortunately, D'Antan is worth the wait.

After months of stalking this restaurant, and settling for lesser than great, came here spontaneously for lobster and pasta. (Listened to Kaliii's song too much!) The Yelp pics looked fantastic, the reviews were almost all five-star, and it was too easy to walk in early on a Friday night. Pulled up in an Uber and our friendly driver was blown away by the restaurant's exterior cuteness. He could see the glowing candlelight and maybe a hundred or more small Polaroids, which he guessed were of customers. Upon a closer look, they were the sweetest yet simplest moments of patrons, staff, food, and wine. But the highlight of our meal was the cheese and complimentary bread that came at the beginning of our meal. We shared the lamb ragu and of course the lobster pasta. Although the lobster tail was tender, the pasta sauce was not memorable to say the least. The lamb ragu was definitely tastier but reminiscent of a school cafeteria lunch special. Wish I could say the service was great but I was served a glass of wine after another couple who came in and ordered after us was served. They also were seated in one of few tables that are not counter height. We found our seats uncomfortable and our table extremely small, but there weren't many other choices. My glass of wine was ok for $19. But the $8 Galvanina orange soda was quite refreshing.

This place is such a gem. Came for the first time tonight after having it bookmarked for a long time and will definitely be back. First of all: thank you for staying open late!! So hard to find restaurants that are open past 10 pm these days and much appreciated! (We came at 10 pm on. Sunday and had the place to ourselves, but never felt rushed and in fact felt like a super special intimate dinner). The atmosphere here is just lovely, with a great soundtrack that's never too loud and overall cozy and somewhat romantic ambience. Our server was incredibly warm and knowledgeable and made great recommendations. There are of course two big reasons to come here--natural wine and pasta -- and we were super impressed on both fronts. As people familiar with but not super knowledgeable about natural wine, we found the "wine wheel" approach to talking about wine fun and accessible and our server recommended two unique and tasty option. There's no wine list or prices listed but the two we chose were both $18 which seems average these days.Pasta...wow. We tried three -- the wild boar ragu taglietelle, lobster taglioni and lamb ragu mafalde. All were perfectly cooked and tasted super fresh with sauces that weren't at all heavy but the lobster was the total standout. So rare to have lobster in pasta that's cooked perfectly and the cherry tomato sauce was insanely good. Overall such a wonderful spot!

I was craving a lobster pasta and D'Antan's Tagliolini with Lobster was everything I needed and more. The staff were friendly and I also really enjoyed the Lambrusco and strawberry gelato.

Overall rating: 4.9I'm absolutely obsessed with this spot. Its atmosphere is so intimate, fairytale-like & hidden. I was a bit surprised but there isn't a lot of options on the menu. I went on a date & we ended up splitting the truffle pasta which I don't think is on the menu anymore. It was really good, but tbh I'd probably go again just for the atmosphere. There were plants everywhere and it was definitely a 2nd / 3rd date spot vs new date. I highly recommend if you're looking for something different & romantic.

A wonderful post holiday dinner with friends. Alessandro is a perfect host and made the wine selection fun and informative. The steak was perfect and the pappardelle was amazing! Don't leave without having the tiramisu for dessert! A good find in Brooklyn

This slightly hidden gem is my by far favorite restaurant in the neighborhood. We discovered it when we have a birthday dinner for my sister-in-law and have been going back regularly ever since. The restaurant is cozy and feels special but I also love the outdoor seating area in the front, especially when my young daughter joins us. The food is delicious and one of the most unique things they do is the wine wheel in which you pick a mood and a color of wine and they they bring you a a few options to try. It adds a little sparkle to the experience.
