Stopped in for a quick bite. Had one of my faves, the island shrimp with a ginger burst, YUM! The island shrimp are nice and crispy, with a spicy/sweet sauce. It was a little spicer then last time, but still very enjoyable and some people would really appreciate that. The ginger burst is so flavorful and enjoyable. My partner had the soca pasta, very flavorful and perfectly cooked chicken and noodles.Staff was friendly, music was great and as always very clean.

We went on a Friday around 7pm. It wasn't crowded at the time but it started to fill up around 8. The ambiance was great. It gave a vibe between casual and upscale. The food was good but wasn't quite what we expected. We had the Mac and Cheese and crab cakes as appetizers. We really liked the crab cakes but we expected the Mac and Cheese to be baked instead of being saucy. Wasn't bad though. I had the BBQ Jerk Chicken as my main and my partner had the lamb. The Jerk chicken was well done and the flavors were balanced but it felt like it was missing something compared to the Caribbean food I'm used to. My partner wasn't a big fan of the lamb. It was a bit gamey but she thought the rice was ok. The drinks were on point and strong! It was a bit pricey and had a mandatory service fee of 20% but overall it was a good experience.

A lot of places sell Carib food, but this place got it right! I came in September and they had a great appetizer and drink deal. I got the sangria and wings - sangria delicious and wings were so fulfilling I didn't want to eat it all before my main course. Im not a lover of breaded food, but the shrimp were delicious, big and juicy too. The jerk pork entree was very moist, not spicy and still tasty. I would say that it didn't taste like the grilled, spicy jerk pork that I'm used to, but it was still good. Despite having a busy night for a Wednesday with a large party, the food came out at a decent pace. It seems like there was only one waiter/host and one bartender and probably had a few people in the kitchen. It did take a little while for our food to come out. The place looks clean and bright. It's bigger than I expected, but still a one room restaurant. I would definitely come back because the food was delicious & the waiter came over with positive energy.

The food at Cross Road tastes amazing! This was my second time visiting this restaurant and it didn't disappoint. I ordered the Lychee Martini for my drink and it was tasty. The food is always on point. I had jerk chicken, mashed potatoes, vegetables, fried plantain and salmon. Everything was well prepared and delicious. I will definitely be back to try other options on the menu. The service is amazing and they play good music. Definitely a nice vice!

From the delightful Chicken Satay with mango salsa to the birria empanadas accompanied by a tasty consume. The succulence of the honey jerk chicken is enhanced by the perfectly paired cilantro rice; usually served with rice and peas. The double cheese burger with cabbage, grilled pineapple and Cajun fries made it a satisfying meal. The cocktails were great and there is one for all types of drinkers. Beyond the delicious offerings, this intimate spot has a fully covered backyard that provides a cute relaxing ambiance, complete with hookah( Friday-Sunday) and more. The service was great and the staff were friendly. Shout out to the bartender, BrianHost (dolce)enersto and Jessica and Luis. They offer weekday happy hour from (Tues-Fri) 4pm-7pm. Really enjoyed my meal and the service here at cross road. They have some really flavorful, creative dishes. The island shrimp appetizer is a must, that one was crispy and tossed in a delicious sauce. They also have some vegetarian dishes which is great, I got the veggie empanadas and veggie burger and both were flavorful and filling. My friend got the short ribs and she really enjoyed those at well. They also have a great drink menu, which includes my favorite - lychee martini. The staff was also super friendly, and the restaurant has a cozy, date-night vibe to it. Worth checking out!

Cute spot. However, they need to fix a few things. First off.. walked in. No one to greet me by the door. I had a reservation for 6pm on a Saturday Place was fairly empty. Just walked in started taking pictures of the place. And just sat down. Finally someone approached me and I informed her that I had a reservation. Service is super slow. One bartender and we waited quite sometime for our drinks. Food, both appetizers and entrees came out Luke warm. Food was very good. Just not hot. Wasn't too happy about that. Not sure if I would return just cause of it. They need some help. I'm going to assume that they need help in the kitchen as well by the temperature of the food when it got to the table hence the 3 stars. Service wasn't that great.

If there were 6 stars, I would give this restaurant that. This was one of the BEST Caribbean dining experiences I've have in NYC for a very long time. Many Caribbean restaurants think they are providing experiences and they are not. Cross road was a 10 from start to finish. I enjoyed the fact that I can have a conversation and hear the other person at our table. Most places of Caribbean cuisine have the music loud like we're in a club. I get its a bar and restaurant but I never understood dining and not being able to have a conversation and not scream. The service was amazing. The host was very attentive from the moment he sat us to the moment we left. He was friendly and pleasant and accommodating the whole time. My drink was amazing.(the millionaire) It had just the right amount of bourbon and was mixed perfectly. I ordered the bbq jerk chicken to play it safe and I was so pleased. The rice was soooooo good. I was so happy to have rice that tasted as good as it looked. Sometimes, restaurants layer the food on rice and then the rice has no taste. This rice could of stood alone to be honest. Lol. The bbq jerk chicken was perfect. Manners had me not pick up the bones. We also had the churrasco steak as well and I didn't care for steak that night but the bite I had was good. The churrasco sauce was SO GOOD. The Peach Paradise dessert was okay. I was expecting more sweet like peach cobbler but it was a very subtle taste of sweet. It was made to order so really fresh and the cake consistency was nice and fluffy. I just needed a little more sugar or did i? Lol The presentation of the food was very well done. I cant wait to revisit this place. The icing on the cake was being able to meet the owners and chat with them for a minute. Great guys and they are doing a great job!

Had dinner here today for the first time and I have mixed feelings. I opted for the Restaurant Week menu which included an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert. For the appetizer I had the birria empanadas and those very quite tasty. The birria filling was tender and flavorful and the sauce on the empanadas had a nice hint of spice. For the entree I had the grilled salmon with the mashed potatoes and charred broccolini. This entree fell short for me. The salmon was prepared fine but the honey Siracha sauce was nothing noteworthy. The charred broccolini were sadly quite unpleasant and just over cooked/dried out. It would have been better for the dish if the broccolini was blanched or steamer to add some brightness/lightness to the dish. For dessert I selected the Chocolate Delight. This was dessert was just fine. The menu says the "decadent chocolate cake" is supposed to be served warm but mine was cold by the time it arrive at the table and the actually cake was pretty basic/lacking any real decadence. The service was also not great. My friend and I sat at the table for a solid 15 minutes before we were able to get anyone's attention to take our order. And throughout the meal the service we were provided did not really pickup. By the end, my friend found the server and asked for a check because we just didn't want to sit around waiting. The other part that's is not ideal in all of this is that there's an automatic 20% gratuity charge.
