Cotenna is now offering pizza nextdoor and it's called Briciola. We ordered for our group today and unfortunately, no one was pleased with it. The dough was undercooked, they forgot to add parmesan on top and for the bresaola topping - they give you 3 small 1/4th slices (exactly 3) for the entire pizza so the majority of the pizza doesn't have the topping. So, not only was the dough not cooked properly (you can see in the pics that it's under which is why it didn't puff up) and it wa a lack of toppings, but when we called, we didn't get any follow up.We wanted to love their new pizza offerings but unfortunately, it's a no go.

Great little Italian wine bar and Italian spot in the West Village! We got in as a walk in on the Sat after V-Day but got the corner seats at the bar, which we didn't mind. But probably best to make a reservation. We each got our own quartino of wine (glass and a half) and shared the kale and pecorino salad and the tagliatelle bolognese. Both delicious and definitely recommend. I think you're supposed to get bread but they must have missed us. We didn't need it anyway. Great spot for a date or a more intimate spot to get together with a friend.

The best meal we had in New York City.Based on prior reviews, we ordered:- the octopus salad: grilled octopus in well balanced salad with nice flavours- lamb chops: absolutely bomb. Perfectly cooked with flavours that seep through - the best lamb I've had in a while- truffle gnocchi: decadent, a bit heavy for one person but perfect for sharing- tagliatelle bolognese: excellent complexity and depth of flavour to the sauceOverall everything was absolutely delicious. It's a cute and cozy spot, good for a date or intimate gathering with friends. Service was very good. Will happily return next time I'm in NYC!

Save yourself the food poisoning and terrible service. Mussels were overcooked and shouldn't be on the menu if they are going to be served cold or tough. Server misunderstood eggplant as lamb chops, and then insisted I ordered lamb. Not sure why this spot exists in NYC given all of the amazing food elsewhere.

Small, hole in the wall restaurant. I love the octopus salad dressing and the mounds of microgreens were fresh. Well deserving of a Michelin bib gourmand

Really this is a 4.5 because of affordability; for a WV pasta spot to all be sub $20 is fantastic. It's a small charming venture, usually you don't need a reservation but it isn't big so doesn't hurt to make one. The bruschetta was pretty simple but oh boy, that cheese was delicious. The pasta dishes we got were solid; not really wowing but I was pleased with the quality of a quick neighbourhood spot. I probably wouldn't itch to come back here, but it's just a convenient cheap nice going out meal so it can be added to the rotation!

Disclaimer: This review is all about the Aperol Spritz which was perfectly made! Five stars spritz and a quick glance at a menu that didn't seem to contain a single plant-based option. I kept thinking this is the perfect spot for an aperitivo but even the snacky section of the menu is very meat and cheese-focused. I've been to Italy many times and I'm always able to find something at aperitivo time, so it is a little disappointing, I cannot lie. While I doubt I'd return to eat, I can't help but think I'd gladly duck in again for a spritz. It's a lovely rustic space and sitting at the window with (or without) a good friend while looking out at a West Village street is sometimes all you need in life.

Lovely corner spot! They have many different sister restaurants throughout the city but their pastas and pizzas are uncomplicated and delicious. You can always expect a warm comforting meal here.

I discovered this place last night on Bedford after going to Film Forum. I never think to look at what's around the corner from the theatre, but several great options open late-ish on a Saturday night. We sat near the doorway: the tables were otherwise pretty crowded together inside. There's seating outside as well. My friend and I shared the goat cheese and beet salad. It was very good: lots of beets. My friend ordered the Bolognese and enjoyed that. I had the hand-rolled gnocchi. I thought the tomato sauce could have used some kick. I added ground pepper to give the dish a little more flavour. Good service and a pretty large menu for a relatively small place. I'll be back go try some other dishes.
