Walked in with a friend last night and was able to get seated without a reservation. The crudo was amazing! The portion was a bit small. My friend and also split the steak and tagliatelle. With respect to the steak: we ordered it medium. The greens were very tasty, but a tad salty. The sauce was amazing! No complaints on the pasta. The portion was fine. The pasta was flavorful and had a decent amount of crab. We both enjoyed our wine. Stayed late and got to chat with the chef a bit. We'LL both be back!

We originally planned to get dinner here, but ended up just having drinks and dessert since the food menu didn't quite appealed to me. Once you enter, it's a dark space that's quite cozy --seems like many people here on a date night.Since we were just here for drinks, we got seated at the busy bar. I had the Gold Dust Woman ($17) while he had the 212 ($18). We also got an order of the famous Sticky Date Cake ($15). The drinks were pretty standard, so nothing too special. As popular as the sticky date was, it didn't quite wow me. I enjoyed the balance of warm and sweet with the cold and subtle vanilla ice cream together. This bar isn't amazing nor is it bad, but just a good and intimate spot for a date.

Popped in at 5:45pm on a Thursday, it's quiet. Ordered a pasta before my 6:30 pm interview. Was blown away by how delicious is and unexpected it was. Lots of veg options. Mushrooms in the parpadelle were crunchy instead of chewy or squishy. Obsessed with this pasta plate

I really enjoyed this brunch spot! Perfect morning date spot, with an upscale ambience! Food: the Turkish eggs are incredible! The yogurt sauce that it came in is delicious and I highly recommend using the bread to soak up all yogurt! The biscuits were also so tasty! The cacio e Pepe scramble was very flavorful but it was more on the simpler end! Price: fair prices given ambience and overall portion sizesService: very attentive! Ambience: loved the atmosphere! They have a bar in the center and outdoor spots! We got an amazing table right by the window

I really wanted to like this place but I found it lacking food wise. The best things we got were the mushroom pâté (which was more like pâté with truffle), golden beets, halibut, toffee cake and panna cotta. We also got the anchovie crostini, tempura squash, sour dough as apps. The tempura squash was very vinegar forward (I like vinegar and this was a lot) and the whipped ricotta and pomegranate didn't quite balance it out enough. For mains, the bison was okay. We ordered two duck dishes, one was slightly overcooked and dry but the other was cooked perfectly. The side salad that came with the bison and duck were both very salty (possibly the dressing?), we couldn't eat it. The campanelle pasta came out 5 minutes after everyone else had their dish and of course we wait until everyone has their meal before eating. The pasta was cooked unevenly where some bites were very soft and some hard. We also had the passion fruit sorbet which was fine and the cold brew coffee. Overall for the price, personally didn't think it was worth it and found the food to be very inconsistent. However the ambience was nice and the employees helpful and pleasant.

I recently sat outside at Colonie for dinner and LOVED IT! The Seafood Crudo is fresh and a MUST. The Halibut was also cooked to perfection and served with a very yummy sauce. The staff was friendly and they also offer a happy hour. I will definitely go back!

I have been remiss. Not only is Colonie is finally living up to its initial promise, but it has also cemented itself as one of the most reliably stellar restaurants in the neighborhood. It's about time I gave them their (long overdue) due.The space is absolutely lovely (the open kitchen an excellent touch), the cocktails are superb, and the staff is excellent (although, my waiter once did try and convince me that rye was bourbon for some reason). The food over the course of my last several dinners has been uniformly excellent. You're certainly paying for the privilege, but it's worth the cost. The menu changes regularly, but you can always find a crostini to love, and I'm never sad about their pastas. If there's anything with some sort of cured Italian pork, go for it (for example, the current rigatoni with guanciale). They treat vegetables with the proper care, and they know how to cook a pork chop, or a duck breast, or a piece of fish to perfection. The sticky date cake is the only thing that I have never seen off the menu after over a decade, and it's reliably the right move to end the meal. Perhaps it's a bit too pricey for a regular evening out, but Colonie is a fine choice for a special occasion. If this isn't a special occasion price point for you, please invite me out more.

If you like citrus, this is the place because it's infused in a lot of of the dishes. Shout out to chef Cone. It's amazing to watch all the chefs at the counter make the food. It has a real community vibe with a lot of space very rustic.

Came here for dinner on a Thursday around 8:30pm and didn't have to wait for a table. The menu looked delicious but surprisingly food was just subpar. Spicy anchovy crostini: the first bite I took from this appetizer was basically a glob of butter. I was shocked by the amount of butter that was used and had to scrape at least 4 spoonfuls off. Since this was the first dish, it left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth already. Celery salad: very acidic, not well balanced. I had a bit of the spicy anchovy fish left from the appetizer (since I couldn't finish it with all that butter) and used it to balance out the flavors of the salad, which made the dish better. Rigatoni: very saucy, salty and heavy. The pasta was very soft. Duck: dry, and the fries were also heavily salted too. Will prob not come again for dinner. The service and ambiance were nice though.
