#1, 2 & 22 (and 18 if you're super hungry). I haven't deviated from this order for more than 10 years since I've been coming to this delicious hole-in-the-wall Dumpling House in the LES. When Covid hit NYC in 2020 and shut down the city the place I missed most was here. Not only is the food yummy but it's cheap too. You can waddle outta here with a full belly (mine's Enormous and hard to fill) for under $20 (my super hungry order above is just $15). The place is very small, only having 2 little tables, and then a short countertop against the wall that people can sit at, but it's not the place to go if you wanna stay for awhile. Please eat and leave to make room for the next folks as the place is Always busy. Whether vegetarian or omnivore you can eat to your delight here as they have both meat and meatless dumplings, pancakes and soups. My fav are the chive and pork pan fried dumplings (10 for $4) and the chives pancakes (2 for $3). The secret is to get a container to mix your soy, sriracha and vinegar together to bathe your dumplings in. The place is cash only so don't come empty handed. There's an ATM in the store but I hate paying the hefty extra ATM fees. No bathroom either but there's a fairly clean public one across the street at Seward Park, but it's not 24/7. I'm not sure what time the bathroom facility closes, but it's nice to eat over in the park watching a good volleyball game. I gotta say I miss the older woman who I 'thought' owned the place. She's been gone for a couple years now. I asked the 'new' person who works the register and she said she's on 'vacation'. Hope it's not the permanent kind She always knew my order as soon as I walked in. I miss that. Although NYC is full of dumpling houses this is the place to be .

Not a great experience at this dumpling shop, that seems to be pretty popular -China North Dumpling has a small menu, offering various apps, soups, pancakes, and dumplings (both that are cooked and that are frozen). We actually waited for this place to open to try them out; we ended up ordering:+a Chives Pancake - this contains no pork, but it does contain scrambled eggs; this seemed to have been prepared and fried in advance, noting that it was not served fresh and it was cold; this was just not tasty, and the scrambled egg inside was not a good condition+Chives & Pork Pan-Fried Dumplings - aka, #1; comes with 10 pieces; these were also pan-fried in advance, resulting in a chewy exterior with a cold fillingThe sauces that were available were very watered down, and very vinegar-forward.There are a only a couple of counter seatings and a table that can fit a party of 2-3.Totally not worth a visit.+pre- pan-fried items+cold items+watered down sauces

Came again today. This is one of my favorite places growing up. It did not slap like it normally does. i got a fresh batch out of the pan too. It wasn't SUPER crispy like I remembered. Maybe I just got a bad batch. Maybe it needed to rest before being served. But I remember they used to be super tiny and crispy. These were a bit bigger which made it less crispy.

You can never really go wrong with these hole in the wall cheap dumpling spots. I have to say though that I loved the chive pancakes (2 for $3) here - a lot more than the fried dumplings themselves. I would come back for the pancakes for sure. The dumplings are pretty mid but value wise (10 for $4) I'm not complaining. They're pre-fried and just sitting on a heat tray so not super fresh but once you throw on some vinegar and hot sauce it's a simple tasty meal that gets the job done.

Stop 5 of my self guided walking dumpling tour. Unfortunately, it did not help close out the tour on a good note. Would not recommend if you are visiting a few dumpling spots and are reaching capacityAs I approached the store, I saw a huge line and was very excited for the dumplings. Waited for around 20 minutes and ordered 30 dumplings for my group. The inside of the store was small and a bit chaotic. As I began looking around, I could tell that the dumpling would be a bit different. As I received the fresh piping hot dumplings, I bit into it and was a bit perplexed by the taste. The filling was very salty and the cabbage and other ingredients didn't really blend together that well. I believe that they might have used soy sauce to marinate the meat as it was an extremely dark color. Unfortunately these dumplings would need a lot of vinegar and/or hot sauce to be good.

Fantastic hole in the wall Chinatown spot offering 10 pork and chives potstickers for just four dollars. No frills and not much to look at but their food is made fresh and tastes great. That's ultimately what's important. Tend to get real busy during lunch and dinner hours, but no worries, line was very quickly.

Amazing place for cheap and delicious food! The pancakes are delicious! 2 for $3 is a price that can not be beaten. Great service and super fast speed. We also bought frozen dumplings to go. Posting a picture below in case anyone needs it. There are 2 or 3 tables inside for dining in but the whole place isn't too spacious esp if there's a line

9 dumplings for $4, cash only The first time I went here there's really hit but I just went back and it was mid. I got fried pork and chives but they were wayyy less juicy and less flavorful. The texture was okay maybe they were worse because they weren't right off the pan this time. Just a few seats inside to sit and eat if it's cold but the park next to is a great place to enjoys these dumps. The scallion pancake was not that good

Caveat being we only tried this place once, but we when we did it was late Friday night. There was a good line out the door which was reassuring to its quality. It's a classic somewhat hole in the wall spot in New York Chinatown. The dumplings were good and very good value in terms of their price, however, we were disappointed that when we ordered the immediately pulled the dumplings out of a warming. Container rather than making them fresh.
