I came here during restaurant week and got a salad, appetizer, and entree. For appetizer I got mussels and they gave a LOT! The flavor was mussel forward as the sauce that accompanied it is light, but paired really nicely. For my entree I chose bolognese pasta and it was delicious! The pasta was Al dente and the sauce was more meat forward, which is what I like from a bolognese as opposed to some places make it more tomato heavy. I wish the pasta came with a little more sauce. I will be back to get it again and to try other entrees.

Came here after going to the Whitney Museum for restaurant week. Was looking for some good Italian and this based on reviews and appearance of dishes looked good ... Wasn't quite my experience. For starters the staff , GREAT people! Very attentive and prompt! The Fritto Di Calamari E Zucchine was actually pretty good I'd give that about a 8.5 I would most definitely recommend that. The complementary focaccia bread 10/10 (not pictured). It was so good I asked for some to go bc I wanted to relive that lolThe entree the Ravioli Burro E Salvia was bland. I was genuinely disappointed. It felt like it was missing some flavor so I added pepper to it and it made it better, but it wasn't enough. I'd rate that a 6 at best.Overall, I probably wouldn't go back again, but glad I got to see and try it for myself.

**WE SHOULD HAVE READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE**It's very rare to find a place that sucks so bad. My husband and I came to this place for lunch, we were both in the mood for some good pasta. We saw this place and decided to give it a try. Before we ordered our server brought us a small plate with " focaccia pieces" disgusting!! We ordered clams in a white wine sauce as an appetizer, this was actually really good BUT, the server gave us TWO pieces of bread, literally one bite of bread. My husband wanted to ask the server for more bread, it took forever to find this man, we ended up asking another server for bread. He actually brought us more focaccia pieces instead of bread. Why do I call it focaccia pieces you ask? Because it tasted and felt like the bottom of the bucket, dry and hard as a rock. Whatever, we ate it anyways. I ordered the lasagna with BEEF and my husband got the raviolis. Haha I think we were better off being in a box of lasagna Stouffer's and just ask them to warm it up for me. There was ZERO meat in that! My husband was given literally 4 small pieces of "raviolis" it was a JOKE. Costco has better raviolis! The server still nowhere to be found. The bottle of water they bring you is $8 it's self. Do not waste your money here! You're better off getting a dirty water dog and a coke! And last, going back to the server, he was not polite at all! Didn't say two words to us. Didn't even ask if we liked the food or anything (I really do not care but your working in customer service I'm assuming you should be polite at least a little) oh, all this we were slammed with a $180 bill.

Wanted Italian food & I ordered ravioli. It is delicious however it is small portions & ala carte. The waiter gave us enough time to order and didn't rush us.The restaurant has outdoor dining + bar service. This place is nice but didn't knock the socks off my feet because the cheesecake I ordered was dry.

(Overall: C) - Overall, while the staff were surprisingly tolerant of a multitude of bizarre requests, I found this restaurant to be quite pricey for food that, while well made, lacks excitement and creativity. The menu offers some standard italian dishes and the ambience was a bit dim. (Pomagranate Smash: C) - This is a reasonably fruit-forward cocktail with a decent alcoholic afterkick. At the $18 price point, I would've liked to see elevated presentation and more clever development of depth of flavor given that cocktails offer significant opportunity for creativity. (Tagliatelle Bolognese: C) - This is a classic pasta dish executed well. At $28, I found this to be a bit pricey, but that is not too unexpected given the Chelsea location. In such a case, I would've liked to see some elevated presentation as well as other ways to build depth of flavor. --Food: EPresentation: EPrice: EAtmosphere: EService: +1Menu: EOverall: +1 CInsta/Beli: @amei_eats

This restaurant was really nice. The energy inside was pretty amazing and the service was A++. Its a rather small restaurant but they still were able to accommodate larger parties. I went with my team (party of 14) and there were other large parties there. Small detail but this will come in handy if you're looking for a place to have a birthday dinner or anything like that. Now let's talk food! The dishes we ordered were good. Some were simple and delicious and some could have been a little....more. The linguine and meatballs was the dish I ordered and I liked it. One of my teammates ordered the lasagna and it was a little thin and lacked some protein and depth but overall, it was good too. I think we just enjoyed the appetizers more. Their calamari and stuffed clams were delicious. The drinks were a hit. We had to have ordered 30 espresso martinis in addition to a few of their other cocktails and wine. Really good restaurant. The staff, drinks, energy, and apps are more than enough to bring me back!

Cute restaurant very close to the subway. Came here for dinner on a Thursday without reservations and was seated immediately. The servers were all quite nice. - Bread was delicious. Unfortunately they do not give refills, but wow, yum!- carpaccio was good! I liked how the flavors mixed together- Lasagna was very mediocre. The noodle sheets were not very flavorful. Not sure why the sauce didn't mix into it. The sauce was also very average. Definitely had better lasagna in other parts of nyc.

Chelsea Ristorante exceeded my expectations! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared, with delicious Italian classics. The service was equally impressive--attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. A perfect spot for a great meal. Can't wait to return!

Lost stars because it felt "sleezy" for lack of better words. Waiter was trying very hard to upsell us on items with no price disclosures on the menu. Typically, this is normal at most restaurants but he told us to try the "appetizer sampler" which included "calamari and meatballs and other items", we got two because we were a big party. They charged us for each app individually, $20~ for each two orders of calamari, ~$20 each for the two orders of meatballs and there were two other things on the "sampler plate" that weren't mentioned to us that we got charged for (again, charged for two whole app prices of each!!!!). Mistake on us I guess, we looked after we paid to see the price breakdown to split the bill. When we asked, they said they couldn't help us, which I guess because we already paid isn't totally outrageous, but still. Food was fine, ambience was fine, but this place felt rlly sleezy and we definitely won't be back. Tip came built in to the check, but it was only disclosed on one copy of the receipt (in rlly small fine print). I think he was upselling us so hard and deceptively bc the tip was built in and he knew he would get cash out of it. thumbs down and telling those I know. $170+ of the bill was appetizers we were duped into!!!!! W the 20% gratuity built in he made an easy $35 or so off of lying about the appetizers. Shitty business practice
