We were looking for someplace to grab a very late dinner on our way home from closing night of a show I was in, and my roommate suggested Cent' Anni which she'd gotten delivery from & loved. It was a great choice! Really cozy space! We sat in a booth, which was really spacious. We shared the Beet Salad which was well balanced, light & acidic, excellent with a bite of the creamy goat cheese. (Having this before the goat cheese crostini is probably why the crostini felt underwhelming.) The calamari was perfect, thin & crispy, and so tasty with the marinara offered on the side. My friend got the penne pomodoro & really liked it. I was too tired to think so I ended up getting the chicken parm, which was pretty decent, even though I could have used a lot more seasoning. Ended up taking it home & it was amazing once I added a few things to it! The real star was my roommate's gnocchi -- I can't wait to come back and try one of their homemade pastas, because my bite of hers was the best thing I had. I also want to make it a point to commend our server! It was an hour before close & I expected 0 energy: she absolutely did not have to be as warm, funny, or attentive as she was! It was a pleasant surprise, and made us want to come back again even more. Kudos to her, we'll definitely be back!

Ordered lasagna Verdi and eggplant parm for delivery. Food arrived hot and ample and the sauce on everything was great - as a red sauce girl this is #1 for me. But I'm also an eggplant lover and sadly I couldn't take more than a few bites of the eggplant parm. The slices are thick (1") but not leeched so it tasted bitter and sweet at the same time instead of salty and savory, and that conflicts hard with the sauce and cheese. Eggplant parm should be thin sliced and breaded / fried. Pasta was ok. The lasagna was solid, but I did feel they just stacked a bunch of pasta sheets instead of true layering. I have had better experiences eating there but felt I needed to review for the eggplant connoisseurs.

I usually order takeout here and get the grilled chicken penne alla vodka pasta with garlic bread. The pasta is delicious but the garlic bread is very rough around the edges. The portion of food that you're provided with is generous. I will definitely order again in the future and will eventually dine in person as well.

Came here to try their happy hour. The backyard was very cute, but we found out that happy hour is only inside at the bar, even when the backyard is empty. We also found out that the online menu is a bit out-dated. Prices and the happy hour cocktails offered are a little different on the online menu vs in the restaurant. The service was fine. Our server wasn't particularly friendly but she took our orders and was willing to move us to the bar when we asked about happy hour. Not sure if I'll be back for happy hour but we'll see!

If you walk to fast you will go right past it. This subtle but has a big punch of romantic atmosphere. They also have a back yard area as well. I came with my family and we was not disappointed. Everything we got was delicious. The BLT was excellent and the pesto mayo was everything. I will be asking for extra tomatoes cuz they were roasted and fantastic on this sandwich. The bread was everything!! The ultimate brunch drinks were also tasty. The crostinis with goat cheese was sooo tasty...I want a drizzle of honey cuz I'm fat. But that one and the chicken pate were excellent. Whoevers grandma making the cheesey lasagna is heaven sent. This establishment was excellent...I will be back!!

Best Italian food in Brooklyn. This place is nestled in on Franklin Avenue. You can potentially miss it but try not to.They are a small place but they have seating in the back as well that is heated and covered. I strongly suggest making a reservation to avoid a long wait. I ended up sitting at the bar and the service was great but I would definitely go back to experience table seating. The lentil soup was so good. Had just the right amount of flavor in every bite. It was so needed on a cold evening. Both pasta dishes were amazing and freshly made. They were steaming hot the whole time eating which I love! Hot food is the best for me. Haha. Amy was our amazing server at the bar. She was attentive and we had great conversation. I hope she sees this review because she deserves to be recognized!

Came here last night for an early Valentine's date. The place is super cute and there's definitely an air of romance with the dim lighting and candles on each table. We sat in a booth in the back and it was pretty roomy and felt private, but there was a small two person table set up right next to us. No one was sitting there but if there was, i can see how it definitely would not feel as private/quiet since it's very close to the booth. My partner and i got three pastas, she got the tagliatelle funghi and i got the pappardalle lamb ragu, and then we shared the penne alla vodka (because why not!). All of the pastas were solid flavor wise, plus they were a pretty big portion of each.

Crown Heights, especially Franklin Avenue, continues to surprise me thus when my friends asked me where I wanted to dine for my belated birthday, this is the neighborhood I chose. Cent'Anni* offers a rustic setting with wooden tables and high stools, a cozy well lit bar, booths and a spacious outdoor garden. We dined in a booth and must admit we got off to a little rocky start: the appetizer plates were dirty and there was a napkin on the floor under our table. The explanation given was " we rushed to seat you". ( which didn't make sense since I explained my other friends were running a little late).Cent'Anni boasts homemade pastas and a delicious ragu sauce. They do offer a nice wine list. I was looking for a light white wine that was similar to Sauvignon Blanc and chose the Radicchio and my friend ordered the Grillo, both were dry, a tad sweet and excellent choices. The server allowed us to try both before ordering. We all ordered pasta dishes:Chicken parmigiana: two friends ordered this and enjoyed it immensely, generous portion of chicken and spaghetti.Spaghetti and meatballs: one friend compared this dish to what your nonna would make.Eggplant Parmigiana: my dish was a.. disappointment..The eggplant was mushy and bland but the spaghetti was delicious.Desserts: the tartufo was delicious with vanilla and chocolate gelato in a dark chocolate shell. The tiramisu was equally delicious. My friends and I all agreed we definitely would come back. There is a Happy Hour during the week so this would be a great post work spot.Cent'Anni is a great neighborhood Italian spot that will become a regular destination for my friends and I.*CentAnni means a toast "to live a hundred years"Let's hope I live that long to toast. Lol!
