I've had most of the well known slice shops in the city and this place definitely is up there as one of the best! I got the pepperoni and the burrata slices and both were extremely high quality. The burrata slice in particular was one of my favorites I've had in New York. The crust is thin but holds really well and has a nice char that contrasts the sweet tang from the sauce. The burrata itself is creamy with a splash of olive oil for a nice added touch.Overall this is one of my favorite slice shops and will definitely be back.

One of my friends took me here by telling me it was his new favorite pizza place and that he liked it even more than L'Industrie (I am not a huge fan of L'Industrie). I tried the vodka slice and I don't really understand the hype. The crust had a bitter taste to it, in a burnt kind of way, which is the same critique I had the one time I tried L'Industrie, and lo and behold my friend tells me the pizza chef here used to work at L'Industrie. The line here when I went was mad long, but I think there are better pizzerias in NYC.

Cello's pizza was great! We had a few late night slices and closed the place down. They seem to have a nice variety of options. Rating this a 4/5 because it is good and I would return but it didn't blow me out of the water. It's convenient for late night and is delicious.

I heard people comparing this to L'industrie so I had to check it out. What's great from first impression was that there was no line when we walked in and plenty of tables to rest our pizza on without being packed like a can of sardines (compared to Lindustrie). We got the burrata slice ($5) and it was delicious! Maybe a tad too saucy but it was still great. I'd definitely be interested to come here again to try there normal cheese slice

... Okay, I might have found my favorite pizza in the city. Cello's Pizza is great, it's spacious inside and not busy during most week days, with seating to eat and chat.Guys behind the counter are super nice and they get your slices out fast. I absolutely adore the dough and crust on these slices, it's crispy on the bottom but still got the chew you want, a little flop never hurt anyone! The ingredients taste beyond fresh, was so surprised that my 5 dollar slices tasted so delicious. Pizza is worth every penny here. I definitely recommend the Pep and Jalapeño. Burrata slice was good if you can't eat meat but I'd pick something else.

When I was walking through the streets on Santacon, craving a snack to fuel the continuing party, I stumbled upon Cello's with a group of friends. In that moment, nothing sounded better than a couple of hot slices of pizza - so, we headed into Cello's! The ambience was perfect for an east village pizza shop - santas, regularly-dressed folks, and observers lined up to order some slices. I loved their brief but powerful menu - just a few varieties of slices, but all sounding delicious. I personally ordered the Burrata slice and the margherita slice. I had to wait a little extra for my Burrata slice but it was worth it. I saw them bring a steaming hot tomato pie fresh out of the oven and top it with a heaping pile of burrata cheese - a slice was cut and put on my plate, and it truly was heaven. The service was great and seeing my pizza being made fresh in front of me was the dream. The one critique I have is that the sauce could use some more flavor. Probably even just a bit more salt ! Overall, it was a great experience with friends, great pizza, and a lovely environment.

We got a slice of cheese pizza as we strolled the city. Quick service. Perfectly crisp pizza. Classic taste! Worth trying if you're in the area!

OK so, this pizza is something special. To start off, I'm someone that actually prefers pizza that has some flop (aka, yes it needs a little crisp, but I still want my pizza to fold down the axis). This pizza is not that-- it's crispy, and isn't floppy at all. That being said, i still give them 5 stars-- robust flavors, great ingredients, and an almost-perfect burrata slice. We'll be back, I need to try the chicory slice. Thanks team for your pizza, your giving a shit attitude, and your kindness.

They were particularly busy when I went since Santa-con was going on. I ordered a plain slice, which cost exactly $4 with cash. It probably took about 5 minutes to get it. The gentleman that took my order was very nice. Luckily some seats cleared while I was waiting. I liked the thinness of the crust but the slice seemed to be lacking something, possibly more cheese. They sprinkle parmesan on it before serving.

I was wholeheartedly ready to rate this place an "it's alright" until I had their pepperoni slice. If you're not ready, this style of pizza is very thin charred crust and minimalistic cheese. I'm a sauce man myself but the fiance is a cheese gal.I think if you're into the style they're offering, the flavors for most of their slices are very prominent. The pepperoni especially tastes fresh and high quality. And the sauce was very bright and not overpowering. I expected more from the burrata but they might've been going for mellow.
