Ceci's Latin Cuisine

Tried this place for the first time for delivery.It took nearly 45 minutes probably because the order taking person does not write down the street name properly. The food was really tasty. The chicken breast with garlic was with a lot of very garlicky (and a little too salty) sauce. It was $12 for the chicken and a side.The side rice and beans' rice was so plenty, that even 3 of us could not finish it.Fried plantain was in a round container with a holed lid to prevent them from getting soggy. Very impressed Steamed vegetable (side) was a good amount with good broccoli flowers, plenty of carrots.Delivery charge was not included so I gave $3 to the delivery person and that made the total $35.Not bad at all considering the quality and quantity.

People talk a lot about the shrimp mofungo here, but let's talk about how tender their ribs are! The flan is a bit cakey and not as smooth as others and the rice was unevenly cooked. I would probably order from here again.

The food is good.... I always go for the chicken noodle soup. Love it... Especially when I'm a lil under the weather it helps me soooo much... I don't know what those ladies put in that soup but it be soooo good...

I had the Shrimp Mofongo and it was amazing. The shrimp was perfectly cooked, nice and soft and not over cooked. It came in a garlic sauce, which was great. I really enjoyed it.

Nasty Cake replacement. I ordered tres leches cake with my dinner and they didn't even bother to call to say it's not available or to offer a different cake for replacement. Instead, they decided to clean out their fridge and place an old cake with a sell by date TO TODAY. And give me a plain ass chocolate cake instead. I thought .. what the heck, the food was AVERAGE, so I will try the cake out.. because that doesn't mean it's expired. But when I say NASTY, I mean, the cake is so crumbly, it's the same texture as play doh that gets left out of its case for years and you decide to play with it anyway. I've never had a crumbly chocolate cake before. But there's always a first for everything. 2 stars because my chicken mofongo was average, otherwise, this would be a 1 star review!

I have no complaints. I've been searching for a decent spanish restaurant and this was absolutely a hit!Small, intimate restaurant. Has about 4 chairs if you wanted to eat real quick. My medium size dish was overflowing. They are super generous with their portions.

I was browsing Yelp for something different and stumbled on Ceci's. I ordered the mofongo with pernil and lemon chicken with rice and beans and a cheese empanada. I the mofongo was tasty and hot... nice pieces of pork and it came with a separate bowl of sauce. I enjoyed but of course couldn't finish. The lemon chicken was okay.. they used chicken breast but it would've been better with thighs... more juicy and less chance to dry it out. But the sauce was zesty.. very nice. Beans were good also. The cheeses empanada arrived hot and ready for my mouth! It was so good and light and flaky. I'm almost tempted to order just that next time. Delivery was pretty good, he was nice and everything was wrapped well. Definitely will try againUpdate-August 28th, 2020- i don't usually come back and rehash reviews but i ordered again today and it was soooo good. My choices today was better than the last time. I ordered the fried chicken chunks and green plantains.. it came with rice and beans and also a side of empanadas. 2 cheese and one beef... the beef was sooo tasty and not overly seasoned but so delicious. The chicken chunks were so good and the beans was awesome. I truly enjoyed this meal!!! Omg... i ordered so much but didn't even eat half... i am beyond stuffed. Will have food for the next two days. But seriously, give this place a try... it's so good and the food was piping hot by the time it got to me

I read through the reviews and hoped that I could rave about Ceci's but sadly I cannot. After eating the chicken mofongo, I can understand why it is not as popular as the shrimp version. It was bland and dry. I had to use the gravy from another dish to add some life to it. The taste and color of the dish was not appetizing. The chicken empanada was disappointing. Out of the entire takeout order placed, I ONLY liked the half rotisserie chicken with yellow rice and maduras. The search continues...

shit was so bad I couldn't even finish my food rude old ladies, place wasn't even cleaned up and the food was mad dry the people leaving a review are the people that work here don't fall for this trap shit was ass
