We went out as a group of four to celebrate a friend's birthday, and the restaurant itself was stunning--beautiful decor, a great ambiance.I ordered the scallops with sides of brussels sprouts and wild mushrooms, everything was tasty, especially the sides--no complaints there. For dessert, I had the Sorrento Lemon, which was really refreshing, and my friend's birthday treat was just as enjoyable. The cocktails were delicious as well, definitely worth trying.Service, though, was a bit slow. The staff wasn't unfriendly, but they also weren't particularly welcoming. Things felt a little unorganized, especially when we had to remind them about two of our drinks that never arrived with dessert.Despite that, the atmosphere made for a great evening. Overall, the food was good but nothing exceptional, and it's definitely on the pricier side. It's a great place to have a drink and enjoy the atmosphere, especially with the spacious bar and ample seating.

A bit disappointed with my experience at Cathedrale which sucks because it was highly recommended. Cons:- The receptionist was a bit unfriendly upon arrival. We had adjusted our reservation time and their system hadn't updated. However, I had a resy email to prove that the reservation had been updated and I was a bit confused with the questioning since the restaurant was empty. - We went for restaurant week but of course they don't partake in it on Saturdays. That was a miss on my part for not checking that but also odd for them to exclude one day.- For a restaurant of this price point they weren't very accommodating for allergies. They brought out free breadsticks and bread but never had an alternative gluten free option. I had noted the allergy in my resy and also told the waiter upon sitting. - I've never had to send a dish back but my chicken dish actually arrived cold as if it had been sitting for awhile. It also took a while for them to bring me a new one and never not once did they offer to provide me anything for my trouble. I also had to tell a waiter that was passing by about the issue because our original waitress never came back to our table. - My friend ordered the Salmon and wasn't much of a fan and wouldn't order again. Pros:- They have free coat check, which is much appreciated in the city with small space.- The restaurant is actually very beautiful. You could tell they put a lot of thought into the decor and atmosphere.- The San Simon drink was so tasty and a nice portion for price point. Would say it is about 2 drinks in 1.- My friend loved the onion soup and fresh bread that came to the table.

HAPPY HOUR ONLY REVIEW:This is a must HAPPY HOUR!!!!!I have been coming to Cathédrale since June for my birthday My partner in Crime are true veterans when it comes to this HAPPY HOUR!!!!!SERVICE: 5/5AMBIANCE: 5/5FOOD: 5/5Everything on the food menu is $5 except the burger The drinks are $8-12....Oysters $2 always order a dozen or 2 lol they are sooo good. The blanc de blanc if you like a bubby is amazing str8 up good. The lemon drop mmmmm gonna make you feel sassy. The expresso Martini baby coffeeeee lovers a must drink. Order 3 dozen oysters after this. The food is all amazing but my FAVORITE is the creme fresh w/ caviar & potato chips. The richness abd the saltiness in both is much chefs kiss. The mushroom toast is ok for me but during the summer the tomato heirloom toast oh my god that was the greatest creation everrrr. The steak tartar i only eat it here and it come with potato chips also (could use more). The lobster rolls are ok! They 2-3 bite size so order 3 if you want to enjoy the feeling of having a lobster roll.

Went here on a Sunday night for a solo dinner. Here are my thoughts:Atmosphere: lively, buzzyDecor: opulent, elegant, sexy, romanticMusic: poppy, upbeatFood: hamachi fish app (delicious), squid ink lobster rigatoni (so delicious!), crème brûlée (goodness gracious, so delicious) Drinks: San Simón (delicious), espresso martini (super tasty)Service: superb!! Good for: girl's night, bday dinner, date night, solo dinnerComments: It's been awhile since I've went somewhere to eat and enjoyed every bit of everything that came to my table. This was one of those times! All the food was amazing. Even the complementary bread and butter was divineeeeee! I wanted more but I was already having too many carbs! Also, I appreciate that the flame on each table is real. There something super sexy about a real flame. Nice touch.I will definitely be back to try other dishes!

Visited this viral trendy HH spot on a cold winter Friday night! It is very lively and a great vibe at the bar seating, but it gets very crowded very quickly. We noticed many groups lining up behind our bar seats, getting up from their tables to order drinks or for HH drinks standing room. Service is definitely on the slower side, but the bartender was very nice. 5/5 Pumpkin Spice Mule -- if you had to pick one drink, get this one! The warm spices are perfectly balanced with the alcohol in this cocktail!4.2/5 Apple Cider Spritz -- tasted quite good, but nothing particularly special. 4.5/5 Pomme Dauphine -- texture was fantastic with the lightly crisp exterior and silky smooth interior. The potato itself could be a bit more seasoned for flavor. 3/5 Smoked Salmon Toast -- really lacked any flavor for us, would skip this one. 4/5 Chips and Dip - The caviar and creme fraishe dip was a very satisfying savory flavor with the crisp and salty chips. Will note that they are quite stingy with the chips (we had 5 total small pieces).

This is perhaps more a review on theirHappy Hour bites. I, likely like, many others was sold on the social media glimpsesOf their Happy hour. The drinks are a good price but that is counterbalanced by the astronomical prices point for the samples sized bites. The lobster roll was mostly brioche, the smoked salmon rillette was minuscule, and the star of the show, since there was more than two bites, was the Steak Tartare. Service was good and friendly.

Brought my mom here for a celebratory dinner and because I heard it was "beautiful" inside. 1. I couldn't find the "wow" factor for the restaurant aesthetics. Not sure what people are seeing tbh. The chandeliers are nice, sure, but that's it! 2. Service - 7/10. He was nice, but I found myself waiting to get his attention at least 3 times. First time was for SILVERWARE. Our entrees were dropped off WITHOUT SILVERWARE. Shrugged it off because he was so nice and maybe he was busy idk. Second time, my wine glass was empty for a good 15 minutes and I wanted to order another glass. Took me a while to flag down the server to see the menu again to order wine. Third... he dropped off the menu and didn't come back for another 20 minutes-- I saw him standing by the POS station looking around but he was looking the wrong way bc I was waiting for him and for my wine! 3. Anywho... service is not what I'm sad about. I'm mostly and very sorely disappointed by the dishes and taste. I ordered my lamb med-rare... was cooked medium rare but it was cold and CHEWY. The other lamb pieces were edible... but I couldn't finish the plate. I didn't even send it back because I didn't want to be a nuisance. I just brought it home and let my boyfriend eat it the next day. And my mom's sea bass plate... I think they served like a 3 oz cut of the fish. I understand small, dainty portions but this was insane. Everything tasted so mediocre and not worth anything I paid for. I hate to say it but I don't think I'll be returning. Highly disappointed because my mom was so excited to eat at this "beautiful" restaurant and it lacked sooo much.

Omg. First, this place is stunning! I considered sitting in the garden area but once I saw the main dining room I changed my mind. The architecture was left me in awe. I had the saint tropez which was so refreshing. 10/10Now on to the food. I had lobster rigatoni. It was really good. The house made bread was *chefs kiss* I also had the chocolate soufflé and it was one of the best I've had in a while. I will say that their prices are a bit high but also are pretty decent for New York. They've got to pay for all that architecture somehow! I spent $140 on just myself but I got everything above + 1/2 bottle of wine.

Visited on a Friday night (with a reservation) with some friends for a birthday dinner. We came around 7:30 place was lively. The sit down restaurant portion was just filling up. The hostess, and our server were very nice and welcoming. The food was phenomenal, we ordered the halibut, lamb chops, grilled octopus, lobster rigatoni, and a burger. Also on the side, we had the sweet potatoes, which were grilled with a wonderful sauce. Our drinks were really good, as well. We were there for the food and the vibes, which did not disappoint, but the drinks were a nice touch. Dessert was good too.

Went for happy hour. Appetisers were really good, and ordered the burger which was also great. The service ruined the evening. Servers were standing talking but no where to be found when we wanted to order drinks. We ordered 6 of their small bites, 4 were brought out gradually over around 40 minutes and we had to find our waiter to remind him of the other two. Good food - poor service!!!
