I'm very conflicted with this review - since there were both phenomenal and pretty poor aspects of my dining experience, and determining which holds more weight isn't easy. We'll start with the easiest plus - the decor of the restaurant is beautiful - with such vibrant colors. As for the food - the bread that started the meal was delicious, although we wish we had more - and the house olive oil is phenomenal. We had a margherita pizza to start, which was rather bland and could have used something more flavorful in the sauce - but the crust dipped in the olive oil was delicious. For mains, we both had the fusilli siciliano al pomodoro - which was a clear five star dish and one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had - cooked to perfection, delicious sauce and tasty eggplant, and a large portion. Where the restaurant fell short was service. It took more than 30 mins after we finished our pizza to receive our mains, and though the staff came over a couple times to apologize once they realized the food was taking a long time, that didn't do anything to expedite things. We were ready to overlook that because of how good the food was, until it took another 12 minutes from us asking for the dessert menu to have it brought over to us. For a restaurant in the theater district, being mindful of service time before evening shows it's important, something Casa Limone fell short at.
