We came tonight to celebrate my cousins 50th birthday as a family. I understand the challenges that a big group can present, but WOW...what an experience. The food was decent, the restaurant is indeed pretty and the dancer was fantastic but unfortunately I will not be returning and I would NEVER recommend anyone coming to this place. The waitress that we had was the most rude person I've ever come across in my 30+ years of dining in NYC. She was condescending and had no sense of customer service. When my dish came out and it was served with the wrong side so I asked her to make sure I had the right dish. She responded by saying that this is the way they come out. I tell her that it might be helpful to inform the customer or correct the menu and she responds with an attitude that this was not her responsibility. That was just an example of the multiple times throughout the evening that she repeatedly made us feel like we were doing her a favor by dining there. It's terribly disappointing that she received an almost $500 tip for such subpar service. I would like to thank the manager that apologized at the end, but would suggest he really takes stock of the personnel he has. At least Maria is definitely not someone I would want to have on my team. The other woman who filled up our drinks was very kind and respectful. I will not be returning but if you happen to go, make sure you avoid the waitress - Maria. She's horrific.

First, our waitstaff was wonderful. She was informative, attentive, and always seemed to appear at just the right time. High marks for her and the other staff who delivered food and drinks. Casa La Femme has excellent staff! We did some sampling and sharing of dishes to fully enjoy the experience and found each dish beautifully presented and seasoned nicely from the trio of dips and sauces to the tasty fresh pita to the gorgeous moussaka. The desserts are lovely and best consumed with a coffee to balance the sweetness, but even if you aren't a coffee drinker, one desert shared with a friend is the perfect complement to a wonderful meal. Enjoy your visit!

Casa La Femme is the kind of establishment you see on social media and get REALLY excited about. I'll say the front of the restaurant (in front and along the bar) is probably better than the back, where we were seated. Overall, the place is rather large yet somewhat intimate, the entire ceiling (or pretty much everywhere you look up) is adorned with a multitude of decorative flowers. The furniture consists of ornately velvety couches and upholstered chairs, tables of all sizes and dimmed lighting.. oh my. Sounds so gorgeous. Right? In reality, it's a big photo op place that looks soooo much better online than IRL. The couch seat I sat in was far for comfortable and didn't quite fit right with the height of our table. My friend and I both caught continuous whiffs of moth balls throughout the night and the flowers (needless to say) are fake - a cheap plastic that's easily recognizable even in the dimmed lighting.Moving onto the food - I really enjoyed the warm pita bread. We had to ask for seconds. We all had the Prix Fixe menu for $59 - the Mazza is shared for the table (which I guess no one realized but I later thought that it should have been for each person? But maybe not!). It was my favorite part of the food with the pita. The Hummus as was good, the Babaganoush and the Spicy Feta were all really tasty. We each then received an OK Greek salad, followed by the "third" course - I had the Salmon Mashway, and the others had the Mix Grill and Lamb Chops. (Each are a $10 add-on.) The meat was cooked in well, tender and flavorful. My salmon was just okay. Overall, all the food potions were very small. So that was disappointing. The Kunefa was also disappointing, but it could just be the Egyptian / Moroccan spin on it. We had a few NA drinks which were very sweet, but overall OK. I personally enjoyed the Tamarind drink I had. Service overall was very good, the waiter(s) were attentive and friendly. Oh, and the Belly Dancer was a nice touch to have, but she came out just for about 15-20 minutes. She was very nice and took some photos with us. Overall, 3 stars for Casa La Femme. (NOTE: I'm happy I didn't read the previous reviews about mice running around this place... because I would NOT have stepped foot in it otherwise. YIKES. didn't see anything while we were there...)

A friend hosted her baby shower here, the place had nice floral decorative and ambiance was intimate. Enjoy sitting in the cute personal table with curtains. Service was great, frequent water refills, prompt table cleaning and staff were friendly. The food was decent, the rice with the mixed grill was too vinegary (a bit too sour to enjoy) and the chicken skewer a bit dry. My partner ordered the chicken dish, which was more juicy. Dishes were a bit overpriced, so expected more from the food.

The food was delicious. I'll be honest--I have no idea what authentic Egyptian food should taste like, but the Egyptian food at Casa La Femme was excellent. Maybe the best chicken I've ever had. The service was immaculate. They embody customer service. They also know their menus inside and out, which is always a plus, so that you can ask them questions about the food if you're unfamiliar with Egyptian cuisine. The ambiance is amazing. We didn't get to see the belly dancer, unfortunately, but we did get to walk around the restaurant and look at how beautiful it is. The aesthetic and vibe are both a win-win. Romantic, for sure.

I fell in love with the decor at this place, serving Egyptian cuisine. I found it to be one of the most beautiful restaurants in the city. There is lovely outdoor dining with fairy lights and pretty sheer orange curtains. Inside, it is even more elaborate and impressive looking with gold lamps with candles, seating set ups with comfortable couch chairs or tents with curtains around them, and a gorgeous hallway in the back with pink flowers, little lights, pale pink shimmery cut outs, along with a semi-private area featuring a long wooden tables, flowers and stunning glass chandeliers above, as well as mirrors throughout the space. There was also a space with colorful flower display. My friend and I decided to partake in the Special pre fixe menu, which is offered Monday through Thursday. We were there after 7PM and the waitress didn't know if the pre fixe menu is available at that time. However, I had called them previously to confirm the pre fixe menu was still happening and there were no time restrictions, so thankfully we were still able to order from it. For my appetizer, I chose the Falafel, which came with a little salad and pita pockets. The Falafel was a little different than I expected, and had sesame seeds with aioli sauce on top. They tasted pretty good and I really enjoyed the pita pockets, which were warm, fluffy, slightly crunchy with sesame seeds and spices on top.I selected the Salmon fil Forne for my main dish. This consisted of roasted salmon, aromatic vegetables, with Alexandrian Sayedia rice. This was plated very nicely and there was plenty of orange colored sauce with finely chopped carrots, red and green peppers on top. The sauce was on the spicy side, but full of great flavor and the vegetables were perfectly cooked. The salmon was charred to a nice crisp, delightfully tender, flaky, and well seasoned. The yellow rice had an almost cous cous quality to it with a little stickiness and quite yummy tasting! My dessert was the Baklava Ice Cream with actual pieces of baklava, and was delicious! It was creamy, velvety smooth, rich, and just the right amount of sweetness. Service was solid. Our waitress was friendly and on top of it. Prices from the a la carte menu was a little high, but on par with the Greenwich Village neighborhood. My friend and I definitely enjoyed our evening meal here. I would love to return to try the Mix Grill (beef, chicken and lamb chop) and Kunefa, one of their desserts.

Came here for a huge birthday dinner, and yeah, CLF is goooorg, but I'm not sure there's much else going on.Birthday girl chose the spot because she wanted belly dancers to liven up the night, but we got one beautiful dancer who danced for about 2 min near us, then flitted away and that was that. I guess I shouldn't complain because the performance was free? If you count dolla bills in the brassiere free.Anyway, the very frazzled staff who clearly didn't enjoy that we were a party of 25 or so people made it clear that we had to order from the Large Group Three-Course Prix Fixe. Fine, sure. The Mezze (hummus, babaganoush, spicy feta) was tasty, but the Mediterranean Arugula Salad was missing arugula of any kind--unless arugula has been rebranded as cucumber and I missed the memo. Entree-wise, the Mixed Grill was okay, with the lamb being the best part. The Egyptian Baked Moussaka Terrein was huge, but tasted just okay. And the Tagine Khodar was easily the best dish of the night--ironic, considering it's the vegan option.Note for future birthday revelers that they charge a $10pp cutting fee for cakes. We weren't willing to pay that, so we ordered one very sad, not-so-good Kunefa for the birthday girl so we had something to give her after singing. I can't stress how bad the Kunefa was--this is my favorite dessert, and I've already Eternal Sunshine-ed CLF's version so I can have peace of mind.In short, good for the 'Gram, not so good for the tum.

Went here for Mother's Day & were required to order off the prix fix menu. At first it seemed worth it since it includes a belly dancing show...but alas, the food was basic. Certainly not worth the price. Better middle eastern food elsewhere. I'm still insulted by my salmon dish that resembled a hotdog. It's the smallest piece of salmon I've ever received. My sister & I truly couldn't believe it. Belly dancer was 30+ mins late. We waited an extra 20 mins after our meal for it to begin. Service was good overall. Staff was kind & accommodating. Decor was nice as well.
