Really enjoyed our meal!Such a lovely and hip restaurant! Granted my Gen X a$$ wouldn't necessarily know hip, but if I did, this would definitely be it.The bar is beautiful, music played at the right volume (am I showing my age?) and great service. We had:- Bread with Candle Butter - really cool concept, although the hubby kept warning me that I was going to set myself on fire.- Brussel Sprout Salad - delicious with a kick!- Charred Eggplant Pasta - very good. The sauce was velvety! - Adobo Chicken and Pork - so good. The garlic rice was great.- Tres Leches Cake - delicious and light- Cookie Dough with Vanilla Ice Cream - an unexpected favorite! The vanilla ice cream was great and the cookie dough had oats on/in it. Very tasty with a great texture. Our server was lovely and the food was good, what more could you ask for?!?!?

Saturday of Easter weekend. Surprised it was not packed at 7 PM after a positive New Yorker review.Started with cocktails and burrata and green salads (the latter was a large pile). Entrees were miso-glazed cod and adobo. The entrees were good and well priced (under $30). Service was very good.Damages with tip was $190

More like a 3.5/5 I found out about this place through seeing videos of the butter candle, I hadn't realized that the candle flavor changes with the season, for ours was a mulled cranberry wine with orange zest and nutmeg. I was surprised to see more of a sweet flavor, I had been expecting a savory one. The bread itself was okay, it was also very buttery but didn't taste unique or different than any other Hawaiian rolls that I've tried. The dishes here are definitely more on the expensive side. We had ordered the french onion burrata, maple charred heirloom carrots, and the oxtail agnolotti to share. I liked the appetizers the most, though I wish I had saved some extra bread to have with the burrata (it came with a crostini but more bread is never a problem). The carrots had good flavor and I thought the ricotta mousse was a nice finishing touch. The oxtail was very tender, though I'm not sure if I tasted any of the peanut butter in the glacé. I thought the service here was a bit lacking. We had asked the waiter if we could get more bread, but she responded quite rudely telling us it would cost extra, but then also didn't tell us how much extra.

This place most definitely lived up to the hype and let me tell you why...Let's start with the butter candle which was a pleasant surprise and such a nice start to what would be a very enjoyable meal. I came here mostly for the burger, but little did I know how much I would enjoy my overall experience. Before getting to the burger, I'd just like to touch on how great the service was. Super attentive employees came over for different purposes and even got a chance to talk it up with the manager which was nice.I'm a big burger guy and make it a point to try most of the top burgers that the city has to offer, and this burger is up there with the best of them. Let's not forget the everything bagel fries with a Kaluga caviar aioli which was on point.I also loved the dim light setting in this establishment and I've said it a ton of times how much I'm a fan of dim lighting I highly recommend this place for not just the burger but the whole experience.

Admittedly, I'm a huge Southern Charm fan so when Craig and Austen shared the news about their partnership with Carriage House, my friends made a reservation for my birthday. Upon entering, I loved the upscale booth we sat at but I expected their presence in some kind of way - at least some Craig Sewing Down South pillows on their beautiful couch like seats, but nothing. We ordered a few cocktails, which were delicious, and menu items from the main menu and bar menu, since apparently you can only order the famous burger they're known for at the bar. The potato caviar is tiny, but covered in caviar. I just wish the potato wasn't so oily. The burger was really good, though also on the smaller side. The lobster pasta was really decadent and good; the oxtail agnolotti was also decadent though a bit salty. Perhaps because we were there late on a weeknight, but I was a little surprised at the higher end prices for the food, but spotty service and decor. As I walked towards the bathroom, there was a mop bucket literally by the front door in front of the hostess stand and the bathrooms smelled and looked horrendous. I feel like this place has potential but needs a bit more work all around before visiting again.

Butter candle was sooo great! Loved the rolls. The carrots were divine and so full of flavor w/ the ricotta on the side. The beet carpaccio was sooo delicious and wow the burrata was so unique and amazing! Would definitely get the burrata again and I would loveee to try to remake. Service was phenomenal. Vibes were great inside as well.

My friends and I stopped in here for dinner on a Monday night. It was not full in the front near the bar, but the back dining room area was bustling. We were seated right away and looked over the menu. They don't have a liquor license, so their menu is just beer, wine, and wine/non-liquor cocktails. I had the Rae and the Luca. Both were really not appetizing unfortunately, so I recommend sticking with beer or wine here. For food, I ordered the Steak and Salmon Bites and the Scallop Naccheri Neri as my entrée. While I enjoyed the bits (which are served on a potato), the pasta was not good. The flavor combination for me tasted off and the spices didn't agree with me. Service was good. Our waitress was friendly and the staff stopped in to check over us. Ambiance leaves a bit to be desired. It's noisy and we were seated near the kitchen, which created a lot of activity. It seemed quieter in the front, though, so may be worth sitting at the bar if you can. Overall, Carriage House was disappointing. For the high prices, I expected better food, drink options, and a nicer experience.

DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU ARE 100% SURE IN YOUR RESERVATION DATE AND TIME. We had a reservation made in open table that needed to be adjusted, and the restaurants settings are that you have to call the restaurant to change or modify the reservation. That's fine, I don't mind making a phone call, but there is no way anyone will ever answer the phone here. I checked my phone logs and I have called this Godforsaken restaurant 15 times in the past four days trying to get ahold of someone to modify (at this point, CANCEL! our reservation) and I haven't been able to get anyone. I checked the hours, I know they're closed on Tuesdays and any day before 5pm. Even when I call during their actual hours, NOBODY ANSWERS! And I can't go in person to change because I live out of town, but I shouldn't have to go to actual place to change the reservation!! If I don't cancel the reservation before the time we're supposed to show, we're then charged a $10 fee per person. Great job, Carriage House. You make it impossible to cancel a reservation even when it's a week in advance and then charge people for your own incompetence.

Girls Thursday night dinner out... Carriage House delivered. Met up with some friends post work and we were the first to arrive for an early dinner reservation (which you would assume is potentially somewhat awkward). (Additional comment: it's a holiday- city's fairly light). The staff was very personable and kept the vibes up! The food was fantastic, service was fast, and it was a great general atmosphere.
