After I finally got seated and finally got the attention of the server, everything was great, from the coffee to the bagel to the conversation and the people...What can I say? It's the Carnegie diner. Location, quick service, good food, great coffee! I'd return.

Stopped by to enjoy some breakfast for dinner! As we walked in was greeted by the front person and showed to our seat. It was a decent size crowd but we still got a seat. They have concert posters on the walls which are very cool and interesting. It was cool to see how much a show cost in the 70s & 80s. We ordered a Belgian waffle and buttermilk pancakes. They both came with a side of fruit cup and also a cute little bottle of syrup which is not enough lol. We asked for more and received a nice size of syrup that was enough for both orders. Belgian waffle was light and fluffy. Pancakes were huge and fluffy.

We were on our way to another restaurant on 2nd ave and our cab driver took us to 95th.... Major miscommunication. We ended up at Carnegie Diner hoping for a flash back to Carnegie Deli. We booked a reservation for four on open table as did most everyone else. We were told several times we would be seated next and that was so frustrating.... They absolutely need to come up with a better way to seat people. The food was ok.... It was no Carnegie Deli but satisfied our craving for a pastrami sandwich!

Highly recommend Carnegie Diner! The fries and salad are delicious. French toast was absolutely delicious. Wait was not too long for a table for 5 on Saturday morning.

Iconic, good, dependable fare. NY staple food: Pastrami Sandwiches, Pasts, Salads, Bagels, take your pick. We got quick bites of each before the Theater and the purpose was served without breaking the bank. It's stood the test of time for a reason.

Touristy diner with some filling breakfast that was fresh tasting and sooooo great! The eggs were cooked perfectly, crispy bacon, and fluffy blueberry pancakes! The only drawback was where we were in a middle aisle booth, the seats kept moving and weren't nailed to the floor so kind of odd. But other than, solid service and yummy breakfast/brunch grub.

Good stuff. Nothing amazing. Burger was pretty good but what I expected also. Quite messy. Need way more than one napkin. The bacon and burger were terrific and thick. The sweet potato fries were served cold and incredible soft. Felt like baby food. The salad hardly has any dressing, so you're eating like a rabbit. The coleslaw was great. 15 min wait to sit down at 11am. Our server was friendly and efficient. In and out.

Be aware of a couple of things. Even if you make a reservation you will have to line up. You will be given priority. Secondly, the menu online is not exactly the same. This place is busy and abundantly NYC. The service is pretty good and hardworking. However, it is a bit of a struggle to receive everything included in your order. We ordered Symphony Breakfast 3.5/5 and Avocado Toast 3.5/5

There usually is a line out the door but for us on a Saturday brunch day, we waited 20 mins to eat. The food came out relatively quickly and they have an extensive menu. The food didn't match the hype but it was enjoyable.
