A family member wanted to go here to celebrate their birthday. It is around the corner from the Bakery on Bergen (Uber sometimes drops you off there instead of in front of the actual restaurant).There are different types of seating available. Long tables for a big party, a cozy couch, bar seats and etc. Like a typical restaurant/lounge in Brooklyn, they had mood lights (blue and purple). There is an automatic gratuity for groups 4 and more and they display it in the menu so you are not surprised at the end.We had the escovitch salmon bites, the oxtail empanadas, jerk wings and lemon pepper wings for appetizers for the table. For main course, three of us got the Carib soul lobster tail grilled (I got it with a side of fries while others got it with the potatoes). Someone else got the jerk salmon while our fifth person got the Carib Soul Pasta. The standout favorites of the meal has got to be the salmon bites, the lemon pepper, wings, and the fries. The salmon was balanced in terms of the spices and the tang that comes with a escovitch preparation while also being warm and juicy. The fries were perfectly crunchy and flaky. Other dishes were just okay except our jerk wings came out cold after a long wait.But the real star of our experience was our server London. She was kind, attentive and quick to address any concerns or check if we needed anything. I think she made our experience 10x better. Example, she helped to replace the wings mentioned earlier. And she got the sparklers out to help celebrate the birthday.Overall I think it might be worth a second shot for drinks and or brunch (since that comes highly recommended)

Had a few things not available on the menu. After ordering entrees and drinks to stay, I asked for happy hour wings and fries to take home...Bartender said happy hour food is not allowed to be packed "to-go". I am about to spend close to $100, I really think I should be allowed to save $6 and take some wings home to my kid. Ordered fish cakes as an appetizer and it came out 15 minutes after entree, but I can't order happy hour food to-go? For an entree, I ordered jerk chicken. It wasn't cook slow, chicken too tough and hard on inside, and didn't exactly like the jerk seasoning. Update: fish cake come out and it's hard and crusty on outside. Flame to high, tek time chef. Ambiance is basic for Bklyn spot. Better as a hangout...

It was a Friday night my friend and I decided to go here because we remembered it was such a vibe when we came for the Kwanza Crawl. The good news is, the staff is wonderful, ambiance is nice , great DJ, the rum punch is amazing! The bad news is, the appetizers we ordered were less than desirable. We ordered the spring rolls and oxtail empanadas. They were very oily and the oxtail was mostly fatty pieces. Overall, it's a great spot for drinks but if the appetizers aren't up to par, then I don't expect much for anything else.

The pina colada and oxtail meal was delicious. I really enjoyed my meal. The guy got a bit sleazy towards the end and charged us gratuity automatically when it was only me and my homegirl... not a party of 4.

Great brunch spot.. food was great. Owners are extremely friendly. It's definitely a spot to bring anyone ..

Had there oxtail empanadas and they was soooo delicious! The sauce they use for the oxtail empanadas was sooooo good ! Also had the Rum punch and it was very strong and so I could only have two lol !

The staff is super friendly, but they will add 18% gratuity to your check and charge you a large party fee of 20% even though you are only two people and not tell you. Then you tip on top of that because you didn't realize there was already a gratuity because they don't bring you a bill. This place is a scam for sure!

DJ was on point food went crazy immaculate vibes I came for brunch but now I need to make it for dinner

The staff is very friendly. I enjoyed my pasta with sweet chilli salmon. Nice vibe and the music is great.

I loved the ambiance of the location. The food was delectable!!! I can only speak about the grits and oxtail because that is what I mainly had but it was absolutely PHENOMENAL!!! The server/bartender was amazing so courteous! I forgot her name but she had such an amazing aura about her! I would definitely recommend going there no matter the occasion
