"Il Corso is a pleasant neighborhood Italian restaurant with solid food and a very good selection of wine. It's predominantly southern Italian cuisine. 30 years and counting so you know they are doing some things well. Lots of regulars who the servers seem to greet by name. There are maybe 20 tables spread across two rooms separated by the kitchen and prep area. The relatively small spaces with low ceilings means things can get loud and hard to hear your dining companions. On to the food...Avocado e Carciofini: Smashed avocado mixed with artichokes hearts topped with slices of parmigiana cheese. I've never seen this on a menu before. It was delicious and somewhat addicting. Paccheri con Crema di Pistacchio e Salsiccia: sweet sausage are served with tube pasta and coated with a mascarpone & pistachio cream. A rich dish- a little too rich. We ate it all but probably shouldn't have.Fettuccine con Funghi e Prosciutto: Mushrooms and prosciutto with a truffle cream sauce. Not too creamy. Definitely worth repeating. You can substitute gluten free or whole wheat pasta in any dish for an additional charge. With so many Italian restaurants in NYC, it's hard to justify coming from across town but I'd definitely come back if I was staying nearby."
"Really great food. And honestly, you get pretty great value for the food which makes any criticisms feel a little more acceptable. At least it's priced in!Musket Room presents itself as a prix fixe tasting menu restaurant. And the food is as creative, interesting, and delicious as such a restaurant should be.The service is pretty great as well. The waitstaff is personable and excited to serve you. But, perhaps there's not enough of them? They aren't as present or as attentive as would complete what feels like Musket Rooms vision of itself as a truly superlative restaurant. I find the decor similarly lacking. The interior presents itself well, but there is a difference between a great restaurant with a great a la carte menu and a "tasting menu" restaurant. And sitting in Musket Room either waiting for the waiter to drop your next course or wondering why they dropped it so quickly you can't help but feel you're in a merely "good a la carte restaurant" as you look at the decor and feel the stiffness of your seat.Overall, I'd recommend this place to anyone. But there's probably a reason you can get a table at short notice."

"My wife and I have eaten here for many years now.Best grilled salmon and skirt steak we have eaten and not over priced the owners and staff are very friendly always attentive of customers need. We want to especially thank Donna who is our regular server she goes above and beyond not only for us but to all the customers she serves. And she also makes the best apple martini."
"This was a return visit. We visited once before in 2014 and GF actually saw Robert DeNiro. I missed him. This time the stars of the show were Crystal, the hostess and Maya the server. I seriously mistimed our arrival and we were 30 minutes late for our reservation. Crystal responded promptly to an open table message that we would be late. And then she was reassuring once again when I called a second time. Maya was attentive and answered all of our questions about the menu. Then she and Crystal teamed up to sing happy birthday to gf. They custom decorated the flourless brownie which was delicious."
"After reading the rave reviews, I had to try Fragole Ristorante and find out for myself. I opted for delivery because it was very late already. I tried 1) The salmon alla griglia or grilled salmon. It was delicious and came with really creamy and delicious mashed potatoes. 2) The Rigatoni Bolognese - one of their most popular dishes. Definitely a great choice but the portion size is not large. The bolognese is pretty close to perfection and rivals similar sauces I've had in Italy. Overall, really tasty Italian. If you can only get one thing, recommend the Bolognese. I've heard the homemade gnocchi al pesto is excellent too. Great food !"
"LilliStar is a trendy new cocktail bar at the rooftop of the Moxy in Williamsburg, and they know what they are doing! The cocktails are fantastic - I had their take on a spicy margarita, and it was delicious. I also had their spin on a Moscow Mule, and again - really unique and tasty. The guacamole with plantain chips was phenomenal, an unexpected bonus to a night out for drinks. The atmosphere is a bit clubby, with dim lighting and a DJ. But still, the chill cocktail vibe manages to persevere, and it's a nice place for a date or for small groups. AMAZING views of midtown Manhattan too, with lots of floor-to-ceiling windows and a nice patio. Make sure to book a reservation in advance, otherwise you'll be relegated to standing room by the bar.Definitely recommend this place, especially in nice weather!"
"I loved the feel of this bar. It's dimly lit, cute, cozy, and sexy even with elegant couches and a high-rise ceiling. It feels like coming into a quiet private lounge. The bartender was attentive and kind to make a drink of our preference that wasn't on the menu. I recommend if you want to come in for a quiet calm time to sip on a fancy cocktail. Type: Sexy, Hidden"
"Came here for a glass of wine to meet my friend. Mark was very nice to change my drink from cocktail to just wine. Small place but it's got character to it. Great for meeting with friends on a weekday. Trust!"
"My favorite wine bar! The happy hour prices are unbeatable with $7 wine glasses and $1 oysters. The oysters are also great and come with this amazing vinaigrette. The wait staff are super friendly as well."
"We were thirty minutes late for our reservation because of midtown traffic, but they still got us to the theater on time. I had a special that was fantastic - apple burrata ravioli.Would love to visit again."
"Tried out this new restaurant and didn't have too high of a hope but ended up loving every single dishes! Took one star off because it was my friend's birthday and she emailed the restaurant prior but they still didn't mention anything so she left feeling a bit sad! Food was so good and tasting menu is definitely enough food, make sure dress accordingly so you can eat!"
"Had the BEST time! Delicious food that arrived just in time to eat before COLLAGE NIGHT!!! Activities and snacks!!! Friendly and social staff - bigger space than you'd think - just a really great time. Will return. All hearts all the time."

Excellent cozy Italian restaurant. The food is fantastic. In particular, the Paccheri con Crema di Pistacchio e Salsiccia is one of my favorite pastas in the city. It is sweet, creamy, and decadently rich. It's a must order for me. In truth, I found myself distracted multiple times by how good the food smelled as the servers carried it past me to other tables. Still, I was thrilled with my Paccheri. I was practically drooling when it touched down on the table. But I can't wait to come back and explore more of the menu. The service is good--charming and helpful if a bit slow at points. And the decor is simple and classic. It doesn't over do it, but the vibe is warm with white tablecloths and candles. (I think we can all agree that real candles are infinitely better than fakes).

Step aside everyone elseAs someone who's very passionate about fine dining, I often get asked what the best "deal" in nyc is for a solid tasting menu Without a shred of doubt, Musket Room has the most incredible deal out of any high end place I've eaten in the city. I booked a reservation for one right near my birthday to try this place for the first time. After finishing multiple infused vodka carafes at my mainstays (Mari Vanna and RVR), my friend wanted to join me. We have tried to do fine dining escapades before but it has never worked. I swear we are cursed. The last time we tried this, he ended up throwing up in a 1* bathroom, my phone died, and we met up after I got the four course prix fixe to go in a state of egregious vexation. I called them and they immediately accommodated my last minute request for an extra diner. The Musket Room was truly a symphony of flavors. Every course on their $125 tasting menu delivered a memorable punch to the palate. The true standouts to me were the caviar course (the citrus herbal elements took this to a level I could hardly fathom), the tuna and pear crudo (I USED to think crudos on tasting menus were lazy until I experienced the absolutely blissful combo of Tuna, pear, and dill here), the pork jowl (as someone who moved to Atlanta 3 years ago, I'm shocked they delivered perfectly executed southern BBQ and grits here), and the dessert croque-Monsieur (I thought I was going to hate it, but I seriously would shove these down my throat every waking second if given the chance). If you read through that horrible run on sentence, then you know Musket Room is worth it. And you SHOULD go.

Been coming here for a few years now. I love this place. Their drinks alcohol/nonalcoholic are delicious. Food is even better. Food is fresh. Always pack, the wait is worth it. Indoor n outdoor eating available. Friendly staff, great owner/manager as well. They help the community with sponsorship and help others in need. One of my favorite Spanish restaurants. (Street parking). Reasonable prices. Favorite dishes: Passion fruit milkshake, their ribs, steaks in sauce, chicken chunks with sweet plantain and much more.

I visited this restaurant last week to celebrate my friend's birthday. I enjoyed the experience here. The waiter was very nice and friendly. He provided us with great customer service. When visiting here a reservation is definitely needed. It is a very busy restaurant. The restaurant is clean, nice and they play nice music. For my drink I ordered the Cranberry Peppermint Margarita it was very good. I ordered the Caesar salad for my appetizer it was very tasty. I enjoyed the salad. My entree was the Pan Roasted Amish Chicken. It was delicious. The dish consisted of the chicken, potatoes and broccoli. I will definitely come back. I was too full for dessert. I'll try the dessert options on my next visit.

Decided to go here when we weren't able to get a spot at Lucali and it wasn't a bad consolation prize at all. The food was good, although out of the dishes my favorite was honestly the bruschetta. The Linguine Nere was definitely tasty, though I feel like the squid ink pasta mostly added a visual contrast rather than any noticeable difference in texture or flavor. I didn't try the spaghetti and meatballs, but my friend said it was "about as good as something I could make at home." Tiramisu was pretty standard tiramisu, so nothing to complain about there. Also shout out to the staff for letting us sit there for almost three hours talking and not rushing us out to leave

I've been wanting to visit to this place for a while. Finally decided to go with my free tickets before 11:30 on a Saturday. Little did I know this place was nestled on the rooftop of the Moxy Hotel. I love The Moxy So I was excited!!! The place was giving modern and upscale vibes. The drinks were very pricey my friend bought three shots of Hennessy $20 a piece. I bought 2 Long Island iced teas for $20 each as well. The bartender can't remember his name was so cool with us. The energy on the dance floor was there (at least for my friends and I) the DJ was poppin'. I literally had the best time in a long time dancing the whole night away, when I got home my feet were tired. Lol GREAT night will definitely Recommend & I will Definitely return!

I got the side car cocktail which was delicious. It was on the sweeter side but still very light and citrusy. The service was a little slow but they seemed quite busy so I understand. The ambiance is so cute, I loved how aesthetic the bar was. Would definitely return.

My friends and I were in the area and stopped in for a drink, we did not realize that this was going to turn into an experience. Alex was our bartender and took exceptional care of us. We had him freestyle a drink for us and it was absolutely delicious. This is definitely a place to check out if you are in the area. The service, quality of drinks and music is exceptional!

"We held our ceremony and reception at Bacchus for our intimate (70 person) wedding a month ago - and my husband and I (along with our guests) had a wonderful experience. Our planning period was around 6-7 months, and the whole process was fairly easy and low-key. I researched other restaurants/venues in Brooklyn, and it was the most affordable/had the best value out of all the options we looked into. We met with Meryl (the Bacchus coordinator) a few times and she was great to work with. We went in for a tasting, and the food was incredible. On the day of, the weather was unexpectedly awful and extremely windy, and Meryl and the Bacchus crew were able to seamlessly adjust the seating last minute. The venue itself is lovely, so we didn't have to do much for decorations and just ordered flowers for the tables. The wine bar section just got renovated literally a day or two before our wedding - and it was beautiful! We highly recommend Bacchus as a wedding venue!!"
"We enjoyed an early Friday dinner at the bar. The bartender was great! Mixed excellent drinks and was very helpful with menu recommendations. We had the guacamole which was excellent (better be in a Mexican restaurant) and the tuna for appetizers. Both were delicious, but the star of the show were the amazing sauces that were brought out which we asked to keep for our entrees. I had the poblano peppers and my husband tacos. We both really enjoyed our meals! The bar was cool, and the rest of the restaurant was beautiful. Nicely decorated and cozy."
"As per most of other recent reviews, I went to this restaurant months ago with a medium sized group and for this group, we ordered everything separate. It's a bit fancier than most other Indian spots but they have some selections you just don't find in many other places and overall, we enjoyed the food here a lot. The menu also has fun little descriptions after the ingredients which I'll be listing in parenthesis. The staff here was friendly and they gave good recommendations for people who were looking for something other larger or smaller as well as spice recommendations in terms of dishes. To drink, I had the Charred Cobbler with Tio Pepe fino sherry, sfumato rhubarb amaro, blackberry-coriander puree, and citrus for $16. I tend to not like too many cocktails in Indian restaurants but this was a good exception. Nice mix of citrus with some burn from the alcohol to balance it all out. It's not on the current menu being listed as part of the Junoon inspired drinks but I wouldn't be surprised if it came back or something similar in fall. To start, I decided between the two chaats and the golgappa (i.e. pani puri.) I went with the Basket Chaat or potato basket, sweet potato, papdi, chickpeas. (most famous street food from the city of the nawabs, Lucknow) for $16. This was a pretty tasty take on chaat though I would say a bit heavy on the yogurt compared to some other places. The sweet potato was different but added a nice texture and flavor. Otherwise there were the usual mint chutney and tamarind chutney on top as well as some pomegranate seeds of course. In terms of fancy chaat, I prefer the one at Gazab and a couple other spots but this was decent. My main dish was the Ros Omelette-Prawn listed as curry leaves scraped coconut, pav bread, ("ros means "gravy in sauce" and food carts line across Goa to sell this unique omelette dish) for $34 or so. This is unfortunately something that's not currently on the menu as it was replaced by the more generic Goan Prawn Curry. The curry itself was delicious reminding me a little bit of xacuti found in some Goan spots though slightly different. I was happy it didn't have too much coconut in particular and let the spices shine more. The omelette on the bottom was very soft and everything paired well with the fluffy pav/pao bread. My only complaint would be that for the price, there really weren't enough shrimp for the price (if I recall correctly there were 4 or 5 in there at most.) They could honestly serve the gravy over the omelette with the bread as one of the half tickets for around $17 or $18 and it would make an excellent appetizer or a tasty take on the usual egg brunch dish instead.Overall the food here was tasty. It's a bit fancier than other Indian spots but honestly, the food here is better than at the nearby GupShup and especially Baar Baar. There could have been a bit more meat for the price but the flavors were solid even though there were faults. Upper 3"
"Very nice Italian option inidtown. Upscale and classy vibe. Veal polpette was done well, flavorful red sauce and tender meatballs. Carbonara was eggy and worked well with the speck. Pasta was al dente, not overcooked. Tiramisu was a nice finish. Good wine selection. Service was laid back but prompt. Thanks for a great experience."
"I love it here the best Pelmeni ever !!!!!! I live the bartenders they are so sweet and make great drinks ! The food is amazing it's hard to choose what I'm getting but I can't go wrong with the Pelmeni !!!!!!! I really enjoy coming here it's the best !!! P.S Dima makes the best drinks !!!!"
"Food was so goodBest french toast i've ever had! Service was a bit slow. Took a while to get our bill"
"Made a reservation for a weekend lunch though I honestly didn't need to as the restaurant wasn't full. Then I was just left on my own with no menu or water for about 10 minutes until a kind waiter noticed that I wasn't being helped. Had to wait another 10 minutes just to place my order because only one server was taking orders...Got the prix fixe menu. The bread and butter appetizer was a nice touch. The French onion soup was tasty but I wasn't able to finish it as it was a bit too salty for me. I ordered medium doneness for my steak and it came out more like medium rare but at least there was a nice crust on the outside. The meat was a bit chewy but maybe I'm just not much of a steak person to know the difference. It's a really generous portion though! The shoestring fries were crunchy and plentiful. The last course was dessert which was crème brûlée. I think they should serve this with a small dessert spoon instead of a large spoon which made me think I'd be getting a bigger portion. Advice to skip the coffee/tea, I don't know why I thought it'd be free but I ended up paying $4 for it. I had mentioned it was a celebration and I got a sparkler to hold for a photo opp...I think my expectations were too high for here so I left feeling a bit left down."
"Stumbled upon Otway on a Saturday around brunch time and decided to stop for a bite, as there were plenty of available tables. I ordered the deluxe breakfast with bacon and it was tasty -- the bacon and the crispy potatoes were particularly amazing. However, I did find the all-day food menu to be a little limited. This place seems to shine for its pastries and drinks, neither of which I tried on this visit. But with $10 glasses of natural wine and great deals on happy hour cocktails, I'll definitely need to come back."
"LTD has the absolute best white pizza on earth - delicate & just slightly garlicky - soo yummy and the people who work there are just delightful."
"Some folks might be quick to assume Ammazzacaffè is some kind of play on words to suggest an "Amazing Cafe" but it's actually an Italian term for a miniature glass with some liquor to mask the taste of coffee. (#1) No one should be masking the taste of the food here because everything is tasty. Add in some excellent service, intimate vibe, and overall quality experience and this is how 5 star reviews get written. The place is quaint with a sexy bar, intimate seating, and a really killer outdoor space. I had the pleasure of attending a special event in the back and enjoyed every minute of it. The staff was on it for every course and was good about directing guests to the back. They were quick to refill drinks, wines, and keep the place looking ship shape while they transitioned for the next course.Every item I sample, I enjoyed immensely. The gramiga, torcia, and agnolotti pastas were fresh and tasty with every bite. Folks who love a bolognese option would appreciate the garganelli, as well as the reginette which features a pork ragu. Bonus points for scoring their campanelle nero, which is their special squid ink based pasta. From their creamy and delectable burrata to their polpette meatballs, I don't think there's a dish where one can really go wrong. The sea trout tartare is an interesting option, as is their sunchoke hazelnut pesto. Their barbarbietole is a summer palate pleaser with roasted beets, smoked ricotta, pistaachio, and pickled fig.Their coppa is a roasted pork collar ($35) but it is still not as mighty as the anatra ($42), a dry aged duck that is their most expensive entree. While folks might love the pollo ($32) chicken breast, I think most everyone else will appreciate the pesce ($37) grilled branzino or the manzo ($40) braised short rib. The latter is so good that it's hard to call it a shared dish when I can easily kill it all on my own.Finish off the meal with one of their extremely extensive amaro + dessert selection. The former is where the name stems from and the choices are flat out overwhelming. No matter the choice, it'll be a great way to end what should be an outstanding meal.___________(#1) "Coffee killer."My photos: https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/ammazzacaff%C3%A8-brooklyn?userid=ysCBsXWPB-LAiewVS3jZfQ"
"Very happy that Norma opened up the 3rd location in my neighborhood.I don't usually eat pizza but when I do it's in Italy or Norma.I'm not sure how the rest of the menu is. Review base on the pizza. Honestly if you haven't been in Italy come to Norma get the pizza it's literally like taking a quick trip to one of my favorite places that is Italy. Pizza so good I haven't found another place in the city that would make pie that good literally tastes just like in Italy. Go try and thank me! Sooooo good and no it won't make you fat, it's not NY pizza .Miss Italy come get a quick trip by getting the pizza. Simply delicious"
"DESTINATION NIRVANA ! On our first dinner visit here we were hoping to run into a few of the Italian tennis players after their matches at the US Tennis Open. OH WELL ! We didn't see any tennis stars but the food, drinks, service and ambience were beyond sensational. Before we finished our 2 week vacation in New York, NY we knew we had to return here. On Wed, Sept 11th we decided to turn up cold turkey at 5.pm....we couldn't get a reservation. YEAH BABY ! The kind host told us we had a table until 7pm. At this point we had the entire beautiful dining room to ourselves...but not for long. A fun server named Luca soon came by to help us. FIRST UP ! A really nice ice cold beer would be great...I chose the same one as on our first visit. In the meantime our good mate Flavio the colorful food runner brought us a glass carafe of water and 2 glasses. Luca returned with my ice cold Five Boroughs Tiny Juice IPA in a lovely tall glass...it tasted very refreshing. WHOO HOO ! And then Flavio brought us Complimentary Artisan Bread with dipping sauce....many restaurants do not hand out free bread anymore. OH YEAH ! To kick things off we ordered 1 x Suppli Cacio Pepe ( fried rice balls with cheese and black pepper ) Appetizer. We tried the fried rice balls on our first visit....totally delicious. Not to be confused with arancini which we also love. Our rustic Italian artisan bread tasted lovely. ENTREES ! My wife ordered Lasagna Alla Bolognese ( typical lasagna bolognese style ) while I had to have the Pinsa Fichi e Prosciutto ( Roman flat bread with fresh mozzarella, Parma prosciutto and figs ) on the SPECIALS. WHOO HOO ! Out came our Fried Rice Balls appetizer courtesy of Flavio the polite food runner. TOO DELICIOUS FOR WORDS ! In fact we ordered 3 more...one serve of each variety to take back to our apartment. Just after 6pm our entree meals hit the table. My wife loved her well made Lasagna Bolognese heaps but not quite as much as the unforgettable Baked Rigatoni on our first visit. THE BEST FLATBREAD EVER ! My Fig & Prosciutto Roman Flatbread totally nailed it....brown and a bit crispy underneath but delicately bready on top with the prosciutto, figs & fresh mozzarella. When our server Luca checked on us again I ordered another beer...this time a Montauk Easy Riser Belgian White. It came out pretty quick...ice cold in a lovely tall glass and tasted very good. By now the beautiful dining room was virtually packed out. THERE'S TIME ! At 6.25pm we ordered desserts...1 x Tortino al Cioccolato ( chocolate lava cake with vanilla gelato ) and 1 x Gelato ( pistachio-chocolate-vanilla ). I tried this Italian gelato trio on our first visit and it was as good as it gets. Our decadent looking desserts arrived promptly and disappeared almost as fast....Made in Heaven. We paid the bill by credit card and headed for the front door thanking Luca, Flavio and Gabriele along the way. The interesting looking dude behind the bar was Giovanni Bartocci ( the co-owner with his business partner Marco Ventura ). I told Giovanni we loved our 2 dinner visits to their fabulous restaurant. I HAD TO ASK ! Do you identify more with Roman or Italian....the instant reply was Roman with some Italian. Giovanni was born in Rome. HOW GOOD ? As good if not better than any Italian restaurant we have dined in world wide !CHECK OUT - my walk thru here at https://www.youtube.com/shorts/YTNUhqGPR2cNOTE - Of course with 20 million views of my Yelp reviews and pics world wide in 2023 I can tell you what is great !"
"pizza was out of this world levels of delicious, staff was kind and attentive, can't wait to visit again!"
"Felice 56 was the perfect location for our meal. The restaurant has a gorgeous interior, beautiful lounge area, and a very friendly/hospitable staff. Both of our drinks were amazing. The Espresso Martini was smooth, the espresso flavor was not overpowering, and had a smooth texture. The Spicy Margarita was incredible. The spiciness pleasantly worked its way down your throat and each successive sip made this drink better and better. We started by sharing the Arancini (rice balls, tomato, mozzarella, oregano, and tartar sauce). Each ball had the slightest bit of crunch and the flavor was so good. A well recommended appetizer. Our entrees were incredible. The Tonnarelli Cacio E Pepe was a pasta that we've never tasted before. The Cacio ("Cacio" is the Italian word for cheese, typically referring to pecorino romano, a hard sheep's milk cheese with a sharp, salty flavor) had an delectable texture and the cheese elevated this dish to another level. The Ravioli Della Casa (housemade spinach and ricotta ravioli, butter & saga sauce, grated Parmiggano-Reggiano) was so soft, creamy, and flavorful. Both dishes are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and the ambiance made every moment unforgettable. Don't hesitate to place Felice 56 on your bucket list and enjoy the memorable meal."
"Food - 4/5 My group got the Daily special lamb shank with risotto, the steak and the burrata. The lamb shank with risotto is a big portion. The lamb was tender, not too gamey and very well seasoned. It was roasted well and was fall of the bone juicy with a good balance of fat and meat. The steak was cooked a perfect medium rare, salted to perfection and super juicy and tender. The burrata tasted fresh, mixed with the tomatoes. Service - 4/5 service was good, the waiter was attentive and refilled our drinks often. He was friendly and very informative when we had questions about the menu and wine. Ambiance - 4/5 the ambiance is decent. It mostly consists of high chairs and high tables which can get a little uncomfortable when sitting for prolonged dinners. The outdoor dining is nice though, excellent for a summer - fall dinner date!"
"This place is so cute! The food is delicious and they even have mocktails!!! The restaurant took my food allergies seriously, which is so hard these days to find. The food had great flavor and presented well."
"Went here with my husband and friends after searching UWS for a good Italian restaurant. Luckily, I found this place and am so glad I did. We got the whipped ricotta, fritto misto, spaghetti pomodoro with added ricotta cheese, garganelli, gramigna, and the dry aged ribeye. EVERYTHING was delicious, like exceptionally, over the top delicious. I don't think I've gone somewhere where every single dish ordered was good. And I also loved the texture of the pastas! Made in house and perfectly cooked al dente pasta. I must have been eating the wrong type of al dente all my life lol I usually try a place, and unless it's amazing, don't think about going out of my way to go again. Here though, definitely a repeat on repeat restaurant when I'm in NY. Oh, and all the drinks were perfect too!"
"After dinner, we stopped by Chinato for some cocktails per recommendation. The spot is dark and intimate with a speakeasy vibe --great for a date night. We came in as walk-in on a weeknight close to closing. They sat us right away and was so quick and friendly. It was also not loud, so we could converse with each other. I ordered the Guava & Cheese ($21), which was a nice and smooth drink with fruity notes. Everyone enjoyed their drinks here. Definitely a great bar to check out when you're in the LES area."
"This was my first experience with trapizzini, and the bread was impressive--soft. We tried the chicken and braised oxtail fillings. The chicken was flavorful, infused with rosemary, while the braised oxtail was tasty but not particularly memorable. I'd like to return to try other ones, especially the meatballs. The olive oil cake, though decent, didn't stand out as much as others I've had."
"I was really looking forward to going to Amelie because it had been on my list for a while, but I wasn't impressed. I ordered the Matthieu flight (named for my server) with the orange wines. None of the three were that great. They tasted average/cheap. The flavors lacked complexity. They just didn't hit. I also ordered the escargot. This was my first time trying snails. They were okay. I had looked at photos of the appetizer on Yelp, and from the photos I thought that there would be a lot more sauce for dipping bread into--but there really wasn't extra sauce The dipping bread was good but they didn't give any oil or butter with it. My friend got a glass of red wine, it was a large glass and heavy pour so I'd recommend that over a flight. She also got a salad and asked for grilled salmon and the waiter repeated that back. Yet, the salad came with smoked salmon (lox) and then they said that they couldn't change it. It was also restaurant week but I didn't like the entree options: raviolis, branzino, or an extra $8 for steak? Lackluster. We sat outside which was okay. Nothing special."
"I've walked by this place several times and was happy that we spontaneously decided to try this one random Saturday evening. We were surprised that happy hour was available for a Saturday. I got to try the Korean beer. It tasted like an even lighter Heineken. We split some happy hour cheeses and meats as well as chicken wings. They were ok. Not something that would draw me back.We then got some things off the happy hour menu. The server was right. The broccolini was bomb! I would come back here again for it even if it's not on the happy hour menu during happy hour so I can pair it with the Korean beer. We also shared the japchae, which was also average."
"I had a particular predicament on the day I visited (Oct 2024) - I had just wired in a new bracket onto my braces two days prior and could hardly chew. Whereas I would normally have tried the cheesy fondue baked into the dough, I inquired with Serg and took the advice of this very professional and kind gentleman to go with the Penovani instead - the puff pastry-housed cheesiness with a salad on top.It was 100% the right call. The cheesy pastry is a no brainer, but I'm surprised by how much I enjoyed the salad. The cucumber and tomato were both fresh, and the oil-based dressing was unlike any dressing I had ever tasted - in a good way. Great way. Enjoying outside the sunny 70-degree fall weather, delectable new cuisine, and impeccable service for under $20 pretip - perfection."
"My friend and I decided on this spot last minute and I'm so glad we did. We got there just after 8pm Friday night and was lucky to get the last available table (outside was empty but too cold!)Good service! Really good and fresh food! Great sangria! And the ambiance in here is so cute and cozy! Definitely a new fave! Can't wait to go back and try out their happy hour! Service: Olivia was our server and she was really good despite it being busy and her being the only server really. She still managed to be friendly and efficient, we didn't wait much to order anything or to receive our items. She also gave some good, honest feedback on menu items. She told us about the happy hour as we were getting ready to leave and recommended the passion fruit margarita, which I can't wait to come back and try as it's my fave!Drinks: we had the white and red sangria. They were both good but the red was better by far, so we ordered that for the next 4 rounds! Food: the best thing we had by far was the "Camarones Al ajillo"...so much so we ordered 3! We also had the "Pan Tamuca" with Serrano Ham added, it was good but nothing too special, I could do without it. The "Chorizo Al Vino" was also very yummy, I loved it. I finished off with "Marcela's Rice" minus the olives and capers and it was good, a good mix of flavors. I felt like it was missing a little bit of sauce or something, so I ordered another Camarones Al ajillo and poured over it lol the sauce on that dish is to die for! We had a great time and loved pretty much everything we ate! We will definitely be back soon to try some new items"
