"Hanoi House serves up some truly delicious Vietnamese dishes that are hard to beat. The flavors are authentic, and you definitely don't want to miss the Papaya Pig Ear Salad. It's a perfect balance of textures and flavors. The Bone Marrow Pho is another standout, with rich, savory broth and tender meat that elevates the pho.The service is friendly and efficient, with the staff making sure your meal comes out just right. One thing to note is that the space is pretty tight, so it can feel a bit cramped, especially during peak times. However, if you're after some delicious Vietnamese food, it's well worth the experience."
"Fast service for some authentic pho! I got #1 and it hit the spot. This place is very no-frills so expect to move fast. There's a fee with card so remember to bring cash"

"Competent but disappointing. If you're in the area and are looking for Vietnamese food, try Bahnmigos or Diem Eatery instead."
"My wife had the noodle soup with chicken and I tried the Lamb shank. Desert and tea were good. The alcohol drinks lacked alcohol lol. The service is top notch. Love the decor. Will definitely go back again. Also recommend this place for all to try."
"Expertly crafted Vietnamese food with additional featured menu items. We ate as a family, and each of us had a delicious plate. The passionfruit mousse and pea flower tea were outstanding. Our soups, helps us cope with the cold. Thank you for making us feel at home."
"It was a cold day and all I wanted was a hot soup. I was working in the area and took a walk in grand where I saw the sign with the magic word...pho! I had a plan to get a see standard pho but then I saw a chicken and noodle curry soup on the menu and I was sold. The soup was filled with plenty of chicken and noodles and the curry had great flavor!! Service is fast and the environment is casual."
"Took a sandwich and mango boba to-go from here to eat in Prospect Park on a warm summer day and it was PERFECT! Everything was delicious, sandwich is loaded with meat and toppings and is extremely filling, and the mango boba was extremely refreshing. I also want to note that for a park blanket sandwich it works quite well as it was remarkably well put together and easy to eat without making a mess.Service was also extremely fast considering how busy they were when I went, and it has a nice ambiance but beware peak meal times because it will get quite crowded inside and might make sitting in the restaurant a bit overstimulating."
"Service: GoodQuantity: GoodCleanliness: FairPrice: #1 $14.94 (cash) vs $15.47 (card)A good friend highly recommended this spot, calling it a go-to for his Vietnamese friends. I was surprised I hadn't discovered it sooner, considering how often I frequent Chinatown! On this chilly day, I decided to visit and ordered my favorite dish, the #1 Xe Lua--an extra large bowl featuring eye of round, brisket, tripe, and tendon. When my order arrived, I was immediately impressed by the generous portion and the beautifully arranged meat on top. The first sip of broth had me hooked--it was rich, flavorful, and absolutely comforting. The noodles were equally delicious, and yes, I managed to finish the entire extra-large bowl! This restaurant boasts an extensive menu, and I can't wait to return and explore more dishes. If you plan to visit, I'd recommend using cash to save a little. Vegetarian diners will also appreciate the variety of plant-based options available.A hidden gem worth revisiting!"
"This is my most-visited NY restaurant by a wide margin. I haven't reviewed it for fear of bringing attention to it. I can almost always get a table without a reservation. I believe this is due to the popularity of a serviceable, but hip Vietnamese option nearby. This is the best Banh Mi I have had. I keep trying others, but the bread here is unmatched. I'm told they get it fresh from a bakery in Brooklyn. The spiced pork sausage they use is also perfect. The pho can b from exceptional to greatest of all time. I love this place with all my heart.Almost forgot the rolls! The cha gio are THE BEST. Not just saying that. They are the best in existence (US)."
"I typically go to Chinatown when I crave Vietnamese food but glad I checked this place out for more of a modern and upscale vibe. The dishes are still classics , some with a twist. I liked the rice cake omelette (especially the sauce), the bun hit the spot as well."
"I came across this Vietnamese restaurant on Instagram and had to share! The shrimp and crabmeat pho? Unbelievable. Seriously, the broth was an explosion of flavors - rich, flavorful , and mouthwatering! It's a must try! But, gotta be real, the dumplings were just okay. They didn't quite match up to the pho.The place itself had a cool vibe, and the service was friendly and quick. If you're into mind-blowing pho, this spot's a winner. Just don't expect too much from the dumplings! Overall, worth a visit for the amazing broth alone."
"This is a great Asian-Vietnamese fusion restaurant with awesome staff. Highly recommended for sushi, entries, and drinks. Very comfortable seating & great service.Came in for a weekend show (Hades Town is across the street) and the reviews were great. The An'nam restaurant is equal in quality. Started with the Red Dragon sushi roll, and was it GOOD! We had appletinis from the full bar, and they were great too! I had the beef chow fun, which was perfection. Wife had cashew chicken, which I tried, and was very good. Teen got a bento box, and it was amazing! Shrimp Teriyaki, chicken karage, fried Shrimp shumai and a california roll with white rice. I could have eaten two full orders of shrimp fried dumpling/shumai alone! It was just that awesome!!!We also wanted a side of pan fried sugar snap peas, and a whole order came- but they were fabulous!!! We kept them, snd it was worth it. Servers were all nice & helpful, and we felt appreciated. The decor was nice, and it was fairly quiet. So low noise.Definitely want to go back again! This is a keeper, and in my top twenty restaurants of all time. YOU SHOULD GO!"

Hanoi House is cute and cozy with lots of seating available, even for a large party. Service was quick and efficient, even with my group of 8. We were seated right away for lunch and our orders were taken in a timely fashion. We all ordered pho and it was the perfect meal on a cold day.

I went here with a friend on 2/22, but I forgot to take pictures because I was shoveling food in my mouth and catching up with my friend. The food came out so quick as well - we placed our order and then about 5 minutes later there comes my friend's pho. The only sad thing about our visit is that they were out of grilled meats, so definitely go earlier in the day as we went at around 1:30 pm (unless it was just a weird situation that they were out)I have been on the hunt for banh tom (shrimp yam cake fritters) for years - I had it in Austin at this restaurant called Tam's Deli and it was so good that I have been hunting. Nha Trang One is the closest thing I have found! It is shaped in long pencil length pieces, but packed with shrimp and super crispy. I will definitely be back for that.We split Shrimp summer rolls - you can't go wrong with these. They are fresh, delicious, and go great with the peanut dipping sauce.I wanted the Bun combo 2, but as I said they were out of grilled meats, so they gave me Banh Tom in it with shrimp and extra spring rolls (crispy rolls). It was really good - I wish they gave fish sauce separate so I could really dump it on. This is light fresh food, great if you are eating healthy and wanna get moving.Location was super busy. Plus is they have a toilet so hydrate yourself!

My husband surprised me with dinner plans at the Bricolage. Ambience was very cool, reminded me of a vintage thrift shop. I opted for the pho and my husband ordered the duck & veggie scallion pancake. The duck was definitely my favorite and the pho was a warm hearty dish.

I really haven't had great Vietnamese food in New York. I'm sure I'll get killed for that take like any other semi-polarizing take I have, so let's chalk it up to me not having been to the right spot yet.I'm a hopeless optimist, so I had a great feeling walking into Ginger and Lemongrass that I would have finally found a great Vietnamese spot. My eternal optimism, as it so often does, let me down once again. While there were some high highs, like the grilled beef wrapped in bettel leaves and thai coconut curry, there were equally low lows - that vermicelli bowl had overcooked, lukewarm chicken and the ingredients felt like they had been sitting for a little too long...Everything else (the shaken beef, chicken wings, steamed pork belly buns, summer rolls) were a solid 7/10. Good, but not great. Good is the mortal enemy of great. Overall, it just felt a little uninspired, kind of like this review is. It's hard to write when I'm not inspired.I honestly would come back and just get like 3 orders of the grilled beef wrapped in bettel leaves. Those were elite.IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov_reviews

This place has incredible service and they are very quick to take your order and give you your drinks, food, and the check. Haha! The shrimp rolls and the sauce was delicious and crunchy. The shrimp and mixed vegetables were yummy. It was a lot of food for me, so if you have a small stomach, you may want to share. The decor and lighting is pleasant as well. The bathrooms are a work of art. I would come back here again if I were in the area.

Hanco's Bubble Tea & Vietnamese - I broke up with Hanco last year because they ran out of Tapioca (Boba). I couldn't believe it, how could a bubble tea store run out of bubbles?? But it wasn't their fault. There was a pandemic shortage - a crisis so bad it had a name-- "BOBAGEDDON" ! Supply chain issues suddenly became real. Disappointed, I bought my own tapioca pearls - and to make a long story short - I tried to DIY bubble tea at home... and what a disaster ! There are some things you should just leave to the professionals...Why I love Hanco's ?1) Milk can be customized- whole, skim, oat, almond, soy or (if you can afford the calories) half and half. I love that you can choose the low fat milk - but they don't allow you to adjust the sugar level (at least not online/delivery). Wish they had the option to adjust both the milk and sugar levels.2) Bubble Tea - mine was perfect tonight. Not too sweet, actually could have been sweeter. The boba - generous amount & great texture! 3) Menu options - Nice selection, consistently delicious/ good quality. Nicely packed, delivery was quick. Overall, excellent customer experience. Please add a "sugar free" option for the online menu options

It's the go-to Vietnamese place and conveniently close to the Grand Street subway. It used to be great. Now it's just average. $16 for the #1. I would not get the banh mi. 4 stars for the convenience and quick service.

"We didn't have a reservation but we had the full menu available in the bar lounge area. Enjoyed every bite and cocktails were lovely !"
"The absolute best banh mis! The bread is perfectly crunchy on the outside, but soft and pillowy on the inside. Just the right amount of pickles, sauce and cilantro. I absolutely love the grilled pork here! I usually get this at least once per week. They are super fast with orders. I usually order for pickup on GrubHub and my order is always ready by the time I walk over, which is 10-ish minutes away."
"Good. Fair pricing, great service, it's friendly and fast. They are generous with the extra vegetables and the bean sprouts look healthy and not old. It's a very cute tiny restaurant with dark wood. Cozy. Great East village spot would recommend. Viet coffee is extremely strong I'd be careful about that."
"Creative fusion but not much Vietnamese influenceTop fav to least:- Squash dumpling in pho broth (unique) - Red seafood curry - (flavorful and delicious)- confit duck neck (flavorful but not much meat)- bun thit nuong (delicious and authentic but expensive) - tuna crunch (good but nothing extraordinary)"
"Got a traditional banh mi for takeout at Banhmigos. It was the best banh mi I've ever had, hands down. Definitely will get next time I'm in town."
"This is one of the best beef pho soups I've had in the city. They don't give hoisin sauce or anything in traditional Vietnamese restaurants but that's totally okay because the beef broth was so flavorful it stood on its own. The meat was also tender and not dry which I liked. The noodles are thicker than what I've gotten in other pho soups but they work. It's a big portion and it's def big enough to share. The staff was also very friendly. Perfect for winter!"
"I was wandering Park Slope looking for something to eat and found this place bookmarked from a long time ago and decided to give it a try. I'm so glad that I did, the banh mi sandwiches here are absolutely delicious! I got the classic banh mi with extra meat and my friend got a vegetarian banh mi and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals.I had recently lost my wallet so I had no cash or cards on me, but thankfully this place accepted Apple Pay. The people at the counter were very kind and gave us some water while we waited for our sandwiches on this very hot day. The restaurant itself is very no-frills, no-nonsense -- just good food.If you're in search of an amazing sandwich to take with you to Prospect Park, you'd be hard pressed to beat Lotus"
"I drive 1 hour and 45 min just to get a cup of bubble tea . The customer service is unbeatable and i been going for 8 years and it's nothing in Brooklyn that make meMore happy this place make Brooklyn my first love . If u don't stop for the bubble tea then try the vegetarian pork sandwich it's to die for just kiss the chef for me."
"As a big fan of Vietnamese cuisine, I found the flavors of the food we had to be inconsistent. The pho broth was too salty for my liking, and the fried calamari had an excessive amount of breading. However, the bo luc lac was delicious. The service was friendly!"
"Em has become our go-to vietnamese place in Brooklyn. Pho is really solid, as is my favorite Bun Thit Nuong - really flavorful pork, well cooked noodles. I also had their special spicy noodle dish last week which they had just introduced, and it was fantastic. My only complaint is they don't have a spring-roll-add-on option to their Bun Thit Nuong, which seems pretty standard at most Vietnamese places.Their service is always very pleasant and fast, and the seating area is nice though nothing special. Definitely recommend if you're craving vietnamese in north brooklyn."
"3.5 stars overall -- IG posted a foodie video and down the rabbit hole I went. This restaurant has two levels, first floor is dimly lit, cozy and is quieter and good for conversation. There are several small tables and bar counter seating. Downstairs is where you'll find the larger dining room with a much livelier crowd of patrons (and restrooms). Definitely good for groups and the more social, drinking crowd as it's even darker downstairs. The main menu is two sided, the front - it's tasting menu received a Michelin Bib Gourmand award at $53/pp (Dec. 2024), which is served family style. They will do their best to accommodate food allergies but in some cases it may not be possible. (My shrimp allergy made it a bit challenging to dine here but there was plenty on the menu to choose aside from that). On the back of the menu, you'll find the a la carte style options. Overall I liked the menu options here better and the waitress was mindful of my shrimp allergy so she pointed out what could be altered and what couldn't.We started off with the vegetarian turmeric crepe with mushrooms and fish sauce (served on the side). There was an option to add protein for an additional supplement but we chose to keep it vegetarian. The crepe was very crisp like an egg roll would be. But the mushrooms being so mild in flavor, this dish could've used another ingredient to bring out more taste. We were not a fan and didn't finish it. As per the IG reel, you know I had to order the Short Rib Grilled cheese sandwich. It was served with a Beef broth as a dipping "au jus". The sandwich looked and tasted good! They could've been a little more generous with the meat portion as it was a bit skimpier looking than the IG post. The beef broth was the best compliment and that completed this dish to make it satisfying. For our main entrees, my friend ordered the fish, Cha Ca La. It was a turmeric branzino perfectly pan seared. The skin and outer texture was crisp without drying the rest of the meat. The flesh was soft and very moist. It was the best dish we had this evening. I ordered the Mi Vit Tiem, which was a roasted five spice duck. Paired with thick egg noodles and shitake mushrooms with duck sauce. This duck was served sliced, a bit fatty but it was perfectly seasoned. The egg noodles were soaking up some of that duck sauce which gave it more flavor. Just the dish was a bit oily. Duck was a good portion.I must mention the wine list and cocktail menu. Lots of great choices for those who like to drink and dine. I had a glass of the orange rose (Das ist Schon). It smelled wonderful and should have had an Asian pear undertone but I think I tasted more citrus instead. Very fragrant and the waitress was right to pour first to taste before serving a regular glass. That I appreciated very much. I took a photo to remember the brand and type. The execution of the dishes overall, were a bit inconsistent. I think the restaurant tried very well to accommodate the "sauce on the side" and adjusted for my allergy. However, some of the dishes just didn't work out. Great service overall and thanks for the complimentary duck fat to go!"
"Ordered a couple of sandwiches (the classic with pate, ham, and roasted ground pork, and the shredded white meat chicken) and some spring rolls from Henry's recently when I was craving Vietnamese food and banh mi. The quality of the sandwiches was good - lots of filling, fresh vegetables and meats, nice texture to the bread - and prices were very reasonable. The meat had a little less flavor than some other places I've ordered from before, but I would still get either sandwich again.I ordered the fried spring rolls expecting them to be cha gio, but they tasted like the vegetable spring rolls you'd get at any Chinese takeout place instead, which was a little disappointing. I would skip those on any future order.Overall, the banh mi was good. I like some other places nearby better, but I would get them again. I would sub something else for the spring rolls though."
"The Taro bubble tea was out of this world. So incredibly delicious. I would absolutely come back again just for that! They also have delicious banh-mi that I've admittedly only door-dashed from. They have a few spots to sit indoors. All in all a lovely establishment and super friendly staff. I would absolutely return and order from here again and again!"
"Excellent - friendly staff rushing to fulfill orders. Fresh ingredients, flavorful meats, sweet, salty, savory, and great touch of sourness from the pickled veggies. The bread crunch is memorable and warm meat filling pairs well with the fresh cilantro and cucumber. One of my favorite spots for Banh Mi. Hands down. Bring cash."
"Turns out the price to not shit your pants is $14.50. On the D train, I was met with the sudden urge to expel myself and the closest restaurant at the next stop was Kitchen Co Ut.First things first: bathroom is an 8/10. Clean, spacious, not deathly cold, but no frills. I like my bathrooms with decorations.Honestly, the food was ok. I wasn't expecting much but I was curious considering their rapid expansion. I'd say they get points for having less conventional items on the menu for more adventurous crowds. I should've ordered the Bo Ne (Vietnamese Breakfast Meat Platter) or Cari Ga Curry Chicken). But their bread and butter is the chokehold they have on NYC on Vietnamese Deli meats. Some highlights are the Banh Bot Loc and that pandan honeycomb thing. If you like jelly desserts, try their Che Ba Mau; it's a milky sweet drink with different kinds of jelly. I had the banh bot loc (Tapioca Shrimp fumplings) and it's.... aight. Too much tapioca to filling but they're also the only place in NY that reliably has that so... they're my only fix for now."
"Next level Vietnamese food, amazing ambiance, noise levels on the average end and, great location! Can't ask for anything more I guess? When traditional classics are elevated to next level, we appreciate that food a lot. The best Vegetable Pho ($21) I've ever had, where the broth packs a lot of flavor. The accoutrements consist of some spicy chilies and vinegar garlic which elevate the taste further, and just when you think you have a perfect dish, a spice packed garlic, cilantro hot sauce if what you can request for, if you enjoy spicy food - which goes extremely well with the rice noodles! The Crab Fried Rice ($32) from the Chefs special menu was amazing too and was a good plate to share between two. This dish accompanies the hot sauce.Specific shoutout to Jaycee for her excellent service, attentiveness, and her contagious smile! Will definitely visit again and will be the go to recommendation for Vietnamese food."
"I really like Mekong as a neighborhood restaurant and usually go here around once a month. They have some really good vegan options and their cocktails are really good and use Vietnamese liquors, which is unusual. The inside has good mood lighting and the space is open and there are always tables available. My main complaint is the fish tank. I hope they read this and add some items to give those poor fish a better life. The tank is completely empty, and they just float around with no enrichment whatsoever. It's hella depressing. Please invest like $20 and give these fish some stuff to do."
"We came here on a very cold night in early December on a whim. It was mostly empty but we also came in pretty late. WOW!!!! The food was amazing, the service was amazing and the restaurant is so cute. We had been out in the cold and walking around so we ordered a lot. The veggie egg rolls were delicious, they came out very hot. Then we had the sushi, one was a sweet potato roll and the other was a fish. I ordered the vegan pho and my partner had Pho Bo. We both loved our food and plan to visit again. This was some of the best pho we've ever had."
"I come here sometimes because it's close to my workplace. I've gotten the grilled chicken box and a bahn mi before and they're okay - there are definitely better places in Brooklyn but if you're looking for something quick and not bad, this could be a good spot."
"I work in this area and I was looking for a restaurant that delivers good customer service and great food. I ordered Shrimp Pho with extra bean sprouts online. The food arrived without the Hoisin sauce. I'm deeply disappointed, because if I was in the restaurant I wouldn't specifically have to ask for the Hoisin sauce, why would I expect differently online? I believed it was included with the entree.I called the restaurant after I received the delivery and expressed my disappointment. They explained that the Hoisin sauce is not included in online orders, if you don't ask for it. The customer service and concern was minimal at best. They offered an apology but, absolutely nothing for my inconvenience. The food was bland, not what I expected at all. This is my first time ordering from them and definitely my last. That's a no for me."
"Damn good banh mi! Great cozy cafe with unreal banh mis. Cant wait to come back and try more, we got the classic and its a cant miss.Great service with a friendly staff. Take a walk or ride down and have a great banh mi."
"When we first started visiting a few years ago, this place was styled more as a "food hall" with a few different restaurants serving food, though we always ordered Vietnamese food anyway every time - we popped in this weekend and noticed the far back section that used to be a sushi bar has been replaced with some lovely seating arrangements, and the front area has been built out with these lovely wooden roofs. It makes the place feel so lovely and comforting. We had our yummy chicken banh mi, along with some veg gyoza which were both delicious, as usual! Solid drink options - alcoholic and non-alcoholic. What makes this place extra great also are the kind servers and their attention to detail, as well as the beautiful setting of the restaurant itself and their backyard.I hesitate to even review this place and share ut because it is so tranquil and peaceful while we are there and I don't want it overrun with people. Lol. But this place deserves all the business they can get! So here is my review. They are a hidden gem on Bedford Ave."
"One of the best food deliveries in a long time- if their delivered Pho is this good, I can't imagine how amazing it is at the restaurant! I ordered extra broth, and was able to have Pho for 2 days! The lemongrass chicken is seasoned to perfection, and the broth was so good, I had a cup for breakfast like it was tea. Absolutely perfect order, arrived quickly, their delivery bags are so sturdy and totally reusable! Love this spot."
