"We walked thinking we would be able to see the city from an "overlook". We were told the "overlook" was closed until 5pm.We decided to sit at the bar and have the Pommes Frites and a beer. The beer was cold and our bartender was a delight and friendly. My daughter and he conversed sports and the recent trade of "our" Freddie Freeman to the Dodgers.Before we left, he allowed us to go up to the "overlook" which is not an overlook but an outside patio with no view. Haha- the joke was on us, but the name did get us to walk 3 miles to visit.We enjoyed ourselves despite the disappointment of a view."

"Okay so this is literally one of my favorite "Hangout after work" bars but this time I took my Adorkable guy with me for the first time ever. And as usual it didn't disappoint. Let's talk about it!Atmosphere! So this has like a divebar feel to it which I dig. When you walk in by the entrance there's like a couch you can chill on. When you reach the very back they have a projector that comes down so the customers can watch sports. There's pretty plates on the walls and some mirrors. I love how lively the place gets it's always a good time with good people. The bathroom is spacious and always clean every time I come as well so that's a plus for me! LolOkay food time ^_^Dranksss!My adorkable doesn't drink so he had a ginger ale. But I ended up getting a **Raspberry Margarita** which is not on the menu only because I asked if there was any flavors I can add to my margarita and they said we have raspberry and I said sure let's go for it lol. It was pretty good! Appetizers!Ground Beef Nachos:: So If you read any of my other reviews you already know that my bf and I loveee Nachos! I did want to bring some variety to this review so I ordered a second appetizer lol. He literally rated the Nachos 3 out 5 and I have to agree it wasn't bad by any means but the meat only had a little bit of seasoning. The texture was off because the ground beef was kind of dry not really juicy. There wasn't enough cheese it was kind of hiding on the bottom meaning once you're halfway through the food that's when you start tasting the cheese sauce. The chips were a little stale so overall the dish was mediocre. A way to combat this is well you can let them know if more seasoning is needed or if there's not enough cheese tell them that's an important part of Nachos! Lol Warm Spinach Dip:: I usually get this every time I come because it's so delicious. And it didn't disappoint! Cheese yummy goodness with spinach? You literally can't go wrong! My chips were kind of stale as well but the dip made up for the taste of the chips so I was a happy camper! LolEntrées! (It gets better just hold on lol)Chicken quesadilla:: it was really good the chicken was juicy and the cheese was monetary jack and cheddar so I was in heaven lol. The Housemade Guacamole was soooo fresh and delicious! Fish & Chips:: This was a Chantel Showstopper! Once again my bf gets a dish I love more than mine lol. The fish was surprisingly huge it was succulent moist and it literally melts in your mouth. The fries were like a 3/5 because it just wasn't salty enough to our liking lolOverall I'm still going to come back because there's so many different things on the menu to try and try again! For example one time when I came with my coworkers we had their wings and calamari and they were so good. I'll update my review when I come here next time and try other things but seriously guys come for the fish and chips because that fish was amazing! Until next time happy eating ^_^"

It's a breath of resh air and relief with jerseys and banners hanging on walls, plenty of space, and TVs lining the bar. I imagine it gets busy on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, but it was a perfectly civilized place to throw back a few beers and watch baseball.The food is expected pub grub, plenty of hearty favorites. Stick with the standards and you'll be satisfied."

"Mustang Harry's is the perfect spot to hit up before a Knicks game at MSG. It's an easy walk to the arena, making it super convenient. The food was good - a bit pricey, but that's to be expected in Midtown, and it's still half the price of what you'd pay for food and drinks inside MSG. It's a smart decision not have a happy hour here because $ is basically guaranteed before any MSG event...but quality of food sure goes down with the amount of customers...Great atmosphere and a solid choice for pre-game eats."

"This used to be another spot, The Swan moved in and did the remix. This is a friendly after work spot located in Bed-Stuy. TV's are everywhere, it was soccer on tonight and the bar was going wild. The drinks are top shelf and flowing, the prices are affordable, and this bartender will mix whatever you desire. I was invited here for after work drinks and The Swan did not disappoint. The service is friendly, the bartender is attentive, and there's a wonderful seating area in the back yard if the bar scene is not for you. I had Espolòn Tequila and pineapple juice which was s tasty and not too sweet. The shots of Espolòn Tequila made my night. I like my wings HOT. The hot wings with cayenne based sauce and ranch were definitely worth the trip.Come out and enjoy the casual atmosphere on any night, seating also available out front. The after work prices are available on Saturdays and wait for it... they have alcoholic smoothies (did I say that correctly?)Come thru support local business."

"This place is a gem! It's a standard pub, but plenty of space inside and on the patio. YES it has precious Patio seating! There's speakers outside so you can still have music or play the pub games. It's also a great location it just down 30th so it's quieter than all the craziness on 7th. Plenty of TVs for sports. There's Mixtape Bingo every Tuesday. Surprised me the vegan chicken I had and is the best! Crispy and delicious! Staff is super friendly (we love Savannah!) and drinks are well made. The Vesper martini is strong and not too sweet."

"Started off great with some beautiful aged manchego. On a cold day a nice cup of tea felt like a must buy. I always appreciate when it's served in a personal tea pot. Our waitress was very kind and went over whatever questions we had about the menu, but once the meals were served it was challenging to get her attention. The place was a bit understaffed for Sunday brunch. I'd probably enjoy this more at a less busy time. The huevos fritos con pisto manchego was a great meal for $13. There was a sweetness in the tomatoes that can't be matched. I'd recommend getting this and the manchego. Also ask what a Spanish omelet is before ordering, you may be surprised, as my friend was. This is a perfect place to go if you are seeing a show at The Shed or shopping at Hudson Yards. I'm looking forward to seeing what's next for Mercado post renovations."

"American Whiskey, woohoo! I never knew there were so many bourbon and whiskeys in one venue. I swear they have like 28 different brands of Rye. The food is definitely slept on here - the panko crusted chicken tenders are probably the best I've had in NYC because they're extra extra extra crunchy. They totally perfected that crunch factor while keeping the meat piping hot and moist in my opinion. Idk what the dipping sauce was but it was super sweet and spicy and automatically comes with it. Get those tenders on top of their kale Caesar and order the specialty cocktail called "Strike Me Dead" and you are SET! I get this exact combination every time but need to deviate soon and try new things. There's also a huge upstairs "loft" area with another bar. Private parties probably? Really cool to watch the Rangers game at or like myself I go prior to pregame before hitting up Madison Square Garden since this place is only 1 block away."

"Really cool pub in Midtown. We went in the middle of the day so didn't have any issues with service like some of the reviews I see here. They were attentive and fast, and they have an inspired menu. There were many more things I would've loved to try, but we got the Romanian mici sliders, which were amazing, and the Hungarian langos, which I enjoyed at first but then it got to be too much. A little too doughy and cheesy, if that's possible. Maybe if they used the same amount of dough and cheese but made two slightly thinner ones instead, it would be more balanced. Still, better than your traditional pub fare. What left me stumped was the beer selection. If you walk into a self-described gastropub in the west coast you're greeted by so much variety, ambers, stouts, saisons, etc, that you end up with decision paralysis... but in a good way (?). Not so much here."

"While I won't be back to this restaurant, I could see the appeal for individuals who live in the area. It has a very cheers, neighborhood, regulars drop-in type of vibe. Perhaps if I lived nearby and had time to figure out the best items to order off on the menu for myself, I would have a different and more forgiving view. Service was attentive. They were also responsive to my concerns. Staff was pleasant and the overall ambiance was Winter themed and very festive. I enjoyed the service.The drinks were very good. They had a good selection of cocktails and beer. The onion soup was absolutely delicious. I really enjoyed it. So was the penne pasta with shrimp. That was also very enjoyable. What really hurt the evening was the pulled pork sandwich. The fries on the side were very good but the sandwich itself was inedible. Quite frankly it tasted as if the pork was overdone and old. I was really disappointed because the description with the Jack Daniels sauce had me excited. The sauce was fine... If a little thin.... But the meat was giving an underlying taste that was not pleasant. I was just going to leave it but the bartender was very accommodating and came over to ask if everything was okay. He addressed the issue with the sandwich immediately. Overall, great space and service. Food was on both ends of the spectrum during my experience- really good or really bad."

Great for plate sharing and groups. Skip the nachos- it needs a rework and your blood pressure will thank you. The bearish, bearded barman in particular is sunshine in service. The atmosphere is pleasant and inviting. During tournaments there's usually children, so feels like a neighbourhood spot."

"This is my favorite sports bar in the area. ELEVEN TV cramped into a single room space. Fair prices. Super attentive staff. Great selection of beverages and snacks. Even greater selection of board games along the back wall if sports are just not your jam. Outdoor seating is also available, for which a tv often times gets brought out.You won't find yourself eating healthy here, but who goes to a bar for a salad, amiright? I am actually quite fond of the steak and bell pepper spring rolls, which are huge and satisfying. I actually find myself craving these from time to time, which I can't say about many bar menu items elsewhere. My recent Union Grounds discovery is their Trivia Night on Tuesdays at 8pm. My team is embarrassingly terrible and came in dead last place to no one's surprise, but it was still a fun way to end a Tuesday. Don't snooze on the $10 frozen spicy margs and $3 chicken taco specials.With yet another football season quickly approaching, I am definitely looking forward to hanging out at Union Grounds way too often for way too long. Go Jags!"

"Stopped here for lunch during Christmas and New Year's. It was really busy but we were able to find 2 seats at the bar. There was only one member of staff working but she did a great job of serving so many people. We ordered the fish and chips, chicken club and a side of curry sauce. The food was delivered pretty quickly and everything tasted good. The curry sauce was slightly sweeter/fruitier than we are used to but it wasn't a bad version of UK curry sauce. There were a couple of football (soccer) games on and the bar was really buzzing on a Monday afternoon. A really fun spot to watch some sport and have some good pub food. We live locally and will definitely visit again."

"There aren't many Ecuadorian places in NYC, so what a treat to have this spot fairly close by! It feels cozy but has a good amount of seating, with a bustling sports bar vibe, especially at night.I first came during lunch and got the combo with encebollado and chaulafan. Although I'm waiting for more of my favorite Ecuadorian dishes to make their way to NYC (black clam ceviche anyone?) I'm glad they do the encebollado justice here. It comes with lime slices and plantain chips, so squeeze that lime, crumble the chips, and mix everything around. I loved the rich, comforting flavors of the soup with the umami flavor of the albacore tuna, streaked through with the brightness of lime juice. I'm not even an onion fan but I've been converted for just this one dish. The fried rice was perfectly fine, but the encebollado's where it's at.The second time around, I had to take advantage of the happy hour. The saucy, spicy wings ($1 on Monday nights) and Ecuadorian hot dog with green sauce, pickled aioli, and crushed chips are fantastic. The pork seco patacones are flavorful, and you also can't go wrong with the mini salchipapas. Separate from the HH menu, don't sleep on the chuzos, which they're known for. I got the combo with chicken, steak, and chorizo. Each of the grilled meats was super juicy (my favorite was the steak) with a hint of smokiness, and went well with the green sauce and spicy pickled veggies.I'd also recommend getting the Manzana soda. It's refreshing, not too bubbly or sweet, and really tastes like fresh, ripe apples.Rest assured I'll be back, either for more of their wings, encebollado, or new dishes like the llapingachos and rotisserie chicken."

The handsome and very well dressed in a lovely suit doorman, the guy that was checking the name of the list in a Halloween costume both remembered me from the Halloween party last year that Frank Quatela did. I felt extra special. Who could forget a 6ft tall unique looking lady with long blonde hair with a extraordinary happy and energetic personality and amazing dancers. Lol. Both bartenders also in costume were amazing and fun and were so friendly. Also in Halloween costume. Everyone were all very friendly and definitely in fun spirits. Very pleasant personality indeed. The space can we booked for special events which is exactly what my friend Frank Quatela did. Having drinks specials all night and a DJ for the entire event. I danced to around 3am in the morning. The music was amazing. Great music played all night. I danced everywhere even on the booth and ledge behind the booths. Definitely and amazing night to be remembered. Thank you for everything."

We sat on the ground level and ordered a few beers and some plates. The chicken curry with rice was pretty decent. Rice was a touch undercooked but the curry flavor was excellent, and I appreciated the generous portion, ample veggies and the fries on top. The flatbread special with salami was just ok. Not a flabread, but a more doughy mini pizza that reminded me of frozen pies from the grocery. Beer was good and the service was friendly and excellent. I'd say it's a decent choice for a casual stop for the midtown/times square area.Got bit up by mozzies while there, though I suppose it wasn't their fault."
