"I've been seeing this Resturant pop up on IG all the time and just so happen I was in the area and dropped in. The ambiance is very causal, take out or sit down. (Get your order and sit down ) The food was great! Fresh and delicious. I tried the fried chicken, Mac and cheese, cornbread and the twang drink. All very good. Service was decent. I'd certainly come back to try the fish and some additional sides."

"I'd rate Bird Dog four and a half stars.We snuck into Bird Dog on a Saturday night just in time for the early bird special. Fortunately, we were able to score two seats at their three person bar counter. Sitting at the bar, I immediately noticed some nice options for wines by the glass. They have an approachable yet intriguing list of wines by the bottle too.Bird Dog is a unique fusion of Southern American and Italian cuisines. My wife was set on the pastas for entrees, so I figured we'd give the southern portion a shot for appetizer. We shared the hush puppies. They came out piping hot, so I cut the first couple in half to cool off. When cutting in, I noticed a thin yet ultra crispy batter. It had a great crunch biting into it. They were served with honey butter which I believe might also be used with the chicken sandwich a couple doors down. The honey butter is ultra savory and the hush puppies allow the butter to standout. For the main course, we seized the opportunity to enjoy the half priced pastas. My favorite and the highlight of the meal was the papardelle in a short rib ragu. It's one of the best dishes I've eaten this month. It's a must order here. The short rib is ultra succulent featuring some big meaty portions. The sauce is bold and delicious. It has the Sunday gravy depth to it. The sauce would be wonderful on anything, so the bowl of fresh made pappardelle was a more the sufficient vehicle for the sauce. We also had the agnolotti filled with ricotta in a honey sauce. Usually Italian food feels like it costs an arm and two legs in the West Village these days, but the happy hour promotion made it very budget friendly. Our meal came out to about $45 for an appetizer and two pastas before factoring in tip. The service was attentive. Staff was consistently floating around in case we needed anything. Our water was consistently topped off. Felt like a good culture too as the staff was engaging and their personalities came through. Pacing of the food was on point. There was one spacious, gender neutral restroom. The restaurant was on the smaller side but they managed to cram in about fifteenth seats making it an intimate experience."

Quick, randomly ordered recap:---cute space---mimosas for $1.99 (meh)---long wait time for food (over 30 minutes and they weren't super crowded)---friendly service---no wait time for seating (2.30p on a Sunday)---NO A.C. (it was 90 degrees and they were relying on a breeze? I was sweating profusely to the point my pants were wet when I got up to leave).---Okay food. No real complaints; I just think I've come to the conclusion that "chicken and waffles" is overrated. (but I would go back and try other dishes.)---I hear their wings are delicious."

"I stayed at local hotel for an early morning flight out of JFK.I asked the front desk if there was anywhere I could walk to .... They quickly said no. Not knowing the area I brought up Yelp and saw this was less than a mile away. Well after a quick 10 minute walk I found it! Upon arrival I questioned my decision, I am not gonna lie...the place does not look overwhelmingly inviting. Inam glad I walked in.The woman behind the counter was awesome. She walked me through and let taste local favorites. I loved everything...but there really is no fish. Haha.They have great baked, bbq and jerked chicken. They have the same options for ribs along with an amazing beef rib. I went with the baked chicken and jerked pork ribs. A side of rice with the beef gravy and some Mac n cheese.After getting back to the room, I ate like a king while watching some old episodes of Seinfeld on Netflix! Thanks to whoever was working that evening .... She made this out of town guy feel welcome and put together a great meal!!!"

"It took the restaurant 60 minutes to deliver an order to me 10 minutes away. Minus that I ordered a Shrimp Po'Boy. When I got my order the sandwich was on regular sandwich bread. I've never seen a Po'Boy on sandwich bread...always a hero. To be overpriced and terrible order service, I'm extremely disappointed because the flavor and food are good but not worth the jip I feel. At least call and say hey I ran out of the traditional bread for Po'Boy rather than serving this. I hope they improve in this area but I definitely won't be ordering for a while if ever. This isn't my first time having issues. I always come back because the food is good but presentation, customer service and delivery can do better for the way they are pricing. My delivery guy was nice so no fault to himUpdate...cornbread was staler than Kristen Stewart's personality. I don't know if because my order was late but the cornbread had no flavor and was a crumbly dry mess"

"Great spot. The fries are as closest thing to bojangles' within hundreds of miles and that's a great thing. The pancake is amazing as is the fried chicken. Oysters are fresh and wonderful and they have a consistent happy hour. Soundtrack is also usually on point and carries the southern theme in the best way possible. I've heard Robert Lester Folsom not once but twice here. Oh yeah and the biscuits are some of the best you will find. The servers are very attentive and helpful."

There's a bar when you walk in to your left so if you're just looking to hang for a drink it's positioned perfectly away from the dining area. It's not a place to go wild but you can certainly pre game there. The service was quick and the servers were friendly except for one young lady. I dined in with my kids and sister. They all approved so we will definitely be dining here again."

"This brunch hit the spot!My husband and I had a long work week and decided to have a date at home. I had the Jim Cade breakfast. The eggs were cooked perfectly,the french toast had great flavor (nice add in with the fruits) . The only thing was that the grits needed a bit of flavor. My husband ordered the steak and eggs and a side of grits. The steak was cooked well but was also super tender. We will definitely be ordering again!"
