"As I said back in 2016, I repeat in 2023, CRAVE Fishbar is a definite keeper. Last night 12/12, we recently returned with friends to celebrate the holiday season. The restaurant was bustling in merriment. We started off with a platter of 24 delicious briny East Coast bivalves (oysters, matey!) which went down well with our yummy spicy 'Good Life' margaritas. All followed by small plates of: Salmon Sashimi tostadas, Silky Fluke Nigiri, Grilled Octopus w fennel, crunchy Brussel sprouts with chorizo, grilled Cauliflower with jalapeño + cheese. All delicious and good! Our evening concluded with Crave's luscious silky Red Velvet Cheesecake. A good choice! *Merry Happy + Season's Greetings to all! Cheers!***Peace On Earth**Thank you"
"-First Impression- Very intimate environment, would be great for a date (or a so date like I did lol)-Food- Lots of flavor! I ordered the meatballs, which were so tender I almost didn't need to cut them. Also had the lobster linguine, which was delicious, and the sauce tiniest bit sweet. I ordered a dark and stormy to drink which had me a little tipsy after only half the glass, lol-Service- Miguel was very attentive and sweet :)-Price- It's a pretty fancy restaurant so it's priced according to that-Did Not Like- N/A-Recommend- For sure"

"Before I begin with my review.... HUGE HEADS UP.. Apparently they add a gratuity to the bill regardless of your party size without noting it or telling you. Ultimately, it's my own fault for not paying attention. Hence the reason why it gets 3 stars versus 4 or possibly 5. Dishonesty needs to be called out. With that said, we landed here based on a recommendation. Parking is rough. There's a parking garage around the corner but luckily after circling four times, we found a spot very close to the restaurant. It is located in the basement area, which I really loved the vibe of the place. Inside is no frills, straight to business restaurant. Service was ok. They weren't exactly attentive but not exactly neglectful. It was pretty much a full house with customers in there. They start out with a pot of tea and fried won ton strips with house duck sauce and hot mustard. My son got a cup of won ton soup and we got ribs, steamed dumplings and wings to share. Everything was excellent. Ribs were a little underwhelming but still better than any local Chinese restaurant in my area. For dinner, I got the Long Island Duck, which was very good. It was in a sweet sauce which gave it a little kick. My son got the half crispy chicken. Size was huge and I tried a piece and it was nice and crispy on the outside and the inside was juicy despite looking dry. I was very surprised. My wife got the sweet and pungent chicken, which was also a massive plate and very tasty. Our other son got the chicken and broccoli and he said it was very good. The table shared an order of vegetable fried rice. All in all, a very good meal and I loved the experience. Again, as I'm reading how they hit you with a tip in advance kind of aggravates me because I usually catch things like this. The bill was more than I anticipated but wasn't really doing the math in my head for some reason. Lesson learned and hopefully my mistake helps others."
"EnvironmentThe lighting is bright and warm, and I sat at a table with my friends. It is very private, the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, and the sense of relaxation is perfect.DishesThe performance of the tart base appetizers is quite amazing, with rich and varied seasoning. The carbohydrate part of Uni Waffle has a more chewy and elastic taste, but I personally prefer the crispy and crispy bread base. The combination of pigeon and goose liver is just right, complementing each other. Some dishes are a bit salty. Judging from the current two-star level, the overall performance is satisfactory, with no merits or faults. Worth a try"
"My cousin was in town visiting from FL and we walked by this cute spot and the menu looked diverse, yet not overwhelming and very well priced. We were not disappointed. We started off with the shrimp appetizer, which was had a lovely seasoning and was perfectly. My cousin had the mushroom ravioli and I had the 6 oz steak in a delicious peppercorn sauce with mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach. All terrific. Service was exceptional, friendly and attentive. The bartender was excellent, also playing DJ that included a sweet mix of classic New Orleans artists. Highly recommended!"
"It's been a few years since my last review, so I figured I'd write an update. I've been going to Ping's for years now and it is my go-to when I take dim sum newbies to Chinatown. In fact, I just took my sister-in-law and her family in November and my brother-in-law this month. I've never had an issue getting a table and they're always so nice here. They have menus with pictures of all the dishes, so even if you don't speak a lick of Chinese, you're going to be fine. The waiters all speak enough English to help anyone out if you're unsure about a dish. I had some dietary restrictions on my last visit - no shrimp or meat - and one of the waiters gave excellent veggie recommendations that the meat eaters at the table were happy with. All the dishes were fantastic. No complaints whatsoever. For 4 people, the bill was about $90 plus tip, which is a steal."
"We were in NY for thanksgiving and wanted to find a restaurant that offered a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. I am so glad I booked a reservation for here. The vibe was really busy, loud and fun. It was a little chaotic and we had to wait a half hour for our table even though we had reservations. But that was fine, I prefer that to a quiet and boring restaurant, especially because we were with two young teenagers who appreciated the vibe. The food was absolutely delicious. It was a set turkey dinner menu with a choice of appetizer and dessert. Highly recommend!!"
"First of all yes!! The service was amazing! I went for the soups and the New England Clam Chowder was bussing!!! Next in line was the Manhattan clam chowder!!! The server allowed us to sample them all!! For proper choosing"
"Fantastic spot. I first learned about Okonomi when walking around the neighborhood and stopping inside to ask about the place. You must get a reservation well in advance, as the restaurant only seats a few tables at a time!! The menu changes but some items remain the same throughout the year. The tunakotsu was a first for me, as I have never had fish-based ramen. The texture of the tuna was almost identical to chasu pork, and I was also impressed with the flavor of the broth. I will definitely be back, as the experience at Okonomi was incredibly comforting."
"Had the opportunity to try Oceana, and decided to go with the Filet Mignon for my entree. It was a perfectly cooked medium rare, however I thought it could have been more flavorful or better seasoned. The potato rosti was nice and crunchy, adding a bit of texture to the dish. For dessert, the panna cotta was quite tasty and soft. Service was very attentive and the ambiance was quite upscale and modern. Next time, I might try one of the seafood dishes to see if I like it more!"
"We went to Claw Daddy's to celebrate a birthday. Ambiance: I want to start out by saying that their music playlist is fire. Lol. The place has two areas, one for sitting down to eat and the other is the bar area. The ambiance in the sitting area is comfortable enough for families and friends to enjoy. Food: the food was ok, it wasn't out of the ballpark good, but it was good enough that I wouldn't mind going back for happy hour oysters and drinks. The service was ok as well. They were very nice but they were not on top of their game. They forgot a few things, we had to let them know a few times, and in the end we just took the "L" and ate the boil without the nutcracker (I googled it...the tool to crack lobster and crab is known as a nutcracker...lol). Overall, I think the experience was ok. It's good for families but the prices are typical nyc prices on the high side. So I recommend it to people who want a quick bite and drinks for happy hour."
"I enjoyed this place for lunch on Sa, that I went back again on Mon for lunch as well.Had the tomato and mozzarella salad, and for me, it was perfect.I had the filet mignon au pouve from the lunch menu both times and it was perfectly prepared. Atmosphere nice. Staff exceptional. Food fantastic."

Great experience, large selection of fresh oysters, Bloody Mary's were the best, had the salmon eggs Benedict, perfectly runny eggs to make the kind of mess that makes a meal great . Fish and waffles, who knew!

Had the pleasure of meeting with one of my bestie this evening and had a wonderful time. We were pleasantly greeted at the door by 2 lovely hostesses Hanna and Andrea. It was nice to have a restaurant with complimentary coat check! The decor was absolutely gorgeous and definitely sets the tone for elagant dining. Once seated we had the pleasure of being served by Ali. He recommended some very good starters and drinks. Ali also before taking our order asked about any food allergies. Although we don't have any that was very thoughtful and isn't asked enough in other establishments I've been too. Ali and the wait staff were excellent. Super attentive and always kept our water glasses filled. The apps were delicious but that poached lobster with the squid ink pasta is to die for, a must have. Our food was hot upon arrival and did not disappoint. I will definitely be returning here for a nice date night with my hubby! Thank you again to Ali and the wait staff and hostesses Hanna and Andrea for your hospitality and a very lovely dining experience!!!! You all rock!

Food 8/10Slightly on the salty side, but everything was thoroughly enjoyable. Every single dish was very largely portioned. The fried rice was a classic, brought me right back to childhood. The salted pork chops were the highlight of my meal though, perfectly tender yet chewy. Simply seasoned with salt and pepper, golden around the edges. Water spinach came in very long strands, but I do typically enjoy it a bit more chopped up. Cooked well though with garlic, and as my favorite vegetable, I ate it right up. Atmosphere 8/10Large underground space, filled with a mix of tourists and locals. You know it's a spot that's been around considering the decor and the booths. Service 8/10Very solid service, speedy and efficient.

Stopped by Ping's for a family dinner and had a pretty good overall time! The fried appetizers were fresh including crunchy squid and ribs which were both nicely seasoned. The shrimp with broccoli were fresh and juicy. Steak and asparagus featured tender pieces of meat and well-cooked veggies. The lobster with noodles were also solid. Loved how the noodles included the shrimp roe which made it even more flavorful/umami. I've heard that they are pricier than other similar restaurants but quality of food was good. Pacing of the food was a little fast, even for NYC standards but staff were at least nice and helpful. Although nothing really wow'd me, but on average all the dishes I tried were were well executed!

"I think when I went in 2017 previously, I caught them on an off night. I recently went and it was much improved. Lobster crepe was to die for. Pasta and chicken were good. Almond biscotti could have been sweeter, but overall, good. Their prices are a bit high, so you may want to lean into the appetizers, salads and half orders of pasta. Nice old-school romantic vibe, Sinatra playing overhead, you get the image. Very hard to find old-school Italian like this anymore in Brooklyn. New Corner, La Trattoria, Fiorentino's... all gone. Last of a kind."
"Went there before a theatre show. They offered a 15% discount for pre-show guests. Just show your tickets. We ordered off the pre-theatre menu which offered an appetizer, main dish, and dessert. Staff was outstanding. Helpful in making selections and attentive.Food was outstanding. Fresh and authentic. Enjoyed the variety of appetizers and desserts. Good selection of cocktails, alcohol, and mock-tails.Prices were standard and even reasonable for New York.Seating was spacious enough to enjoy our meal. Clean, table linen tables. Would definitely go back! Worthy restaurant for a broadway type date-night."
"Holy hell, this place was incredible. I was referred there by a client so myself and two of my coworkers went. We had oysters for an appetizer, which, how can you screw up oysters? I had the swordfish, one of my coworkers had Chilean sea bass, the other one had the ahi tuna. Everything was done to perfection with great flavors. The waiters are very old school in that they don't become part of the experience or the conversation, they just quietly take care of things like you don't even know they're there. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in town"
"THE OG BROOKLYN SEAFOOD RESTAURANTNick's Lobster House is a family-owned company that is comprised of a restaurant including an outdoor deck, seafood market and waterfront event venue on the Mill Basin waterfront. They are etched into Brooklyn's rich food history since 1955. It actually is still owned by the family of "Big Nick", the local fisherman that decided to sell lobsters on Flatbush Ave over 60 years ago. Most recently, I came here for a family function and had a good ole time. The service was on point for our large group and so were the drinks. I started off with a glass of the famous "Hurricane Nick" then the table ended up with a quart based on my glowing review. Shoutout to the chef who made the most wonderfully creamy Alfredo that I have ordered at a restaurant in a long time.I also noticed that they offer a $32 Prix Fixe Lunch Menu now so I will definitely be back soon to try it out! I recommend that you stop on in when in the Kings Plaza/Mill Basin area. You won't be disappointed."
"Food: we got the egg truffle sandwich, karaage chicken, and I got the kyoto ramen for my main. Drinks: I got the umami old fashioned & chanel no. 5. My friend got the tomato cocktail and blue cheese cocktail. All of the drinks were so unique and good! Overall the vibes, food and drinks, and service were all good!"
"Tommy the Nose caught the attention of our group of 8. He was funny, friendly and had the best voice. Name a Frank Sinatra song and he'll sing it. Food was absolutely delicious! We had the calamari and lasagna. They were the best we've ever had!"
"FOOD AMAZING!!! BEING RUSHED OUT, NOT SO MUCH!The food was FANTASTIC! Loved the quality and reasonably priced appetizers and starters. Some of the entrees are overpriced. My firmed and I stuck to apps and rice and our bill was around $115. More details later. The mezcal drink was a standout! The reason for not giving 5 stars is that we were rushed out of our table. Asked 3 times if we were ready to pay by three different people after the checkbook had been on our table for only 10 minutes. We arrived at 5:35 and were being rushed out by 7:10 once we finished desert. This is not a good way to end with customers. One woman in black who looked like the manger started removing things from our table telling us to have a good night after we made our payment with the woman in a white top and beige pants. The same woman in white advised us that there was a speakeasy that she could escort us to when we were ready. (We had to use the restroom after getting up so urgently.) I was ready to give this place 5 stars for food and the service throughout the dinner, but I will be giving 4 stars due to the poorly rushed exit. It makes guests feel unwelcome especially after such a great meal. It's very disappointing. I understand there is a time limit per table especially on a Friday night but we were not over this limit and even if we were getting close to the limit, a proper way of executing getting our table is to offer a courtesy reminder at least 15 minutes before you want to give our table away. Menu Highlights:Drink: Five Points SourFood: Crispy Eggplant, Berkshire Pork, shrimp and garlic dumplings, and Johnny fried Rice. Desert: Creme Brûlée TartYou can't go wrong selecting these items unless you don't eat pork. My faves were the eggplant, rice and pork. So good and flavorful. Loved the bed of spinach greens that the pork was on top of. I would definitely come back here. Their speakeasy below is cute too. Get there early though because it's not that big and not many seats for the crowd that comes in after 8."
"Great food, nice ambiance, good service. Slider combo and clam dip were both delicious, as was the wine by the glass. Not the cheapest place in the world, but value is fair for NYC and it's nice enough for special occasions, yet not stuffy in any way. Recommended."
"I was finally able to try out this New York City institution for Cantonese cuisine and it surely did not disappoint. My favorites are the suckling pig, king crab served three ways (steamed, fried, fried rice), and garlic chicken. The crab is delicious however just be prepared to spend money as it is not cheap. The suckling pig is some of the best I've had in New York. Protip is that you don't need to order a whole pig, you can get a small portion of off the a la carte menu. I recommend making a reservation for any peak-time dining as the place gets full of parties including a lot of birthday celebrations. The service is good, better than the standard for Chinatown. I recommend coming with a large party to try out and share more dishes off the menu."
"Food was delicious Went there with my husband and autistic disabled son to meet my son and his wife haven't seen them since their wedding in March 2023Service was exceptional Very nice peopleAverage and casual dressCome and try out for yourself"
"Great space, great food. If looking for the lunch set, you have to come early as they sell out quick. However, their other options are just as delicious. I decided to go with the Daiginjo Bara Chirashi and it was delicious! So much fish and variety on top of well seasoned sushi rice. I really liked the dish. Their fish was super fresh tasting and it was filling. The service was super attentive.Just a heads up, they will seat you for lunch if your party is not complete but you cannot order their lunch set ahead of time if you are ordering the limited sets. You can order for yourself but not for the person you are still waiting for. Still worth it."
"Came for the first time this past Tuesday evening. It was a good dinner, but I am conflicted about a couple of things. My fillet au Poirve was absolutely stellar, Wonderful, piping-hot baked potato, and my dining companion's steak was gorgeous as well. The onion rings were a crashing disappointment, barely warm and definitely not crispy. Here's where my dissatisfaction begins: it seems there is "team service" at this steakhouse. There were three people seeing to my table, and the one person that I told about the onion rings dropped the ball. I had stated my dissatisfaction, and that I would like a new order, but nothing ever happened. The plate of pale, limp rings was left on our table. Even as plates were being cleared, I commented to the server "I suppose we won't be getting that re-order of onion rings?" to which he said "You want more onion rings?" We ultimately were also charged for the disappointing onion rings. While I'm sure team service is a successful formula for them, I found it to be frustrating and confusing. My other two issues were that the music being played at the restaurant was an 80s playlist. I heard Def Leppard, Roxette, and Phil Collins while dining at a "posh steakhouse". Finally, Empire has a custom, clearly, where multiple members of staff sing happy birthday to tables that have a birthday celebrate. This is a full-scale, loud production. Within the space of my one hour and 20 minute meal, there were three different birthdays, and the spectacle of the "happy birthday" song derailed the calm and peaceful evening that I was hoping to have at this restaurant. The steaks were spectacular, but I am left with lingering dissatisfaction at the service, the soundtrack, and they are disruptive practice of "the happy birthday song"."
"I went on a Monday 1/22/24 by myself while I was waiting for Apple to fix my phone... I went just to have a drink while I was waiting and I ending having 4. They were so good and the way the restaurant is designed is mad cute. I felt like I was underwater or on the beach. Highly recommended. Azarias was the one taking care of me and he was awesome!!!"
"Visited Meze for the first time with my husband on a Saturday evening around 5:30pm. It wasn't very packed yet, only about 2 other tables at that time. We started out with some appetizers. We ordered the Garlic Dip and the Blue Claw Crab Cakes. The crab cakes were tasty with the side of sauces. For entrees, we ordered the Lamb gyro platter which came with fries, salad, pita and the tzatziki and a chicken gyro sandwich. The platter is a LOT of food so it was well worth the $22! We enjoyed all of the food and cannot wait to come back and try other menu items!"
"On a Saturday night, we were caught in a nasty traffic snarl on 10th Ave and was an hour late for our 6:30 reservation. One of our party had made it there on time and the gracious host was very nice and sat him at a table a 1/2 hour before we arrived. Luckily, it wasn't extremely busy, just your normal Saturday night. Donburiya is very conveniently located just north of the theater district and just 3 blocks from Carnegie Hall, so is perfect for pre-theater dinner or drinks. It's a very cozy izakaya just a few steps down from street level. If the wait for a table is long, you can opt for a couple of seats at the bar. When we finally arrived, it took us a few minutes to absorb and digest the entirety of the large menu. We started with the Shio cabbage salad and a whole grilled squid. For entrees, my son went with the Sukiyaki Don Set with sliced beef and poached egg & tofu over rice and a miso soup. His friend got the Ishiyaki Beef Curry Udon, which came in a super-hot stone bowl with the broth violently boiling. You can't touch that for a good 10 minutes for it to cool down. My wife went with the Goya Champie, Bitter Melon & Pork topped with a big omelet. For me, it was the Tonkatsu Teppan Yaki Set with a little of everything including a romaine salad topped with potato salad, miso soup, oshinko, rice bowl and Kurobuta pork katsu. The pork cutlet was panko coated, fried to crispy perfection and served over raw cabbage that cooked in the hot mini cast iron skillet right on the table. After I finished and they took away the tray, the table was still hot underneath. We finished in plenty of time for curtain call at Carnegie Hall. I can't wait to come back to relax with a cold Sapporo draft and a non-stop order of fried oysters and karaage."
"The ambiance of Eléa is great and there is ample indoor and outdoor seating. The decor is all light-colored, mostly white with some flowers. I have gone for brunch and dinner, both with and without reservations, and never had to wait more than a few minutes (though maybe we just got lucky because I do see long lines). A few things to note about the popular dishes include:- Smoked Salmon Benedict: Pretty standard brunch fare, that comes with sides of roasted potatoes and salad. - Wild Mushroom Risotto: This can be very hit or miss. Sometimes, it's super creamy as you would expect, but other times, it seems like rice is a bit too firm. The mushroom flavor is always very pronounced, which I appreciate, but the texture just tends to be inconsistent.- Tasting of Three Greek Spreads: I have tried the hummus, tzatziki, and taramosalata. The hummus was a bit too dry and unseasoned for my preference the last time I had it. The tzatziki was definitely the highlight here, since it was super creamy, yet light. The taramosalata was solid with a mousse-like texture, but a bit on the salty side. The grilled pita was seasoned well and the staff are generous about refilling it!Seafood Orzotto: My favorite entree! They give a generous helping of shrimp, mussels, and clams, an extra bowl and mini forks for the shells. It tasted very fresh and was super filling. They also have a shrimp variant on the brunch menu.I would definitely recommend trying the spreads and seafood dishes here. Staff are always attentive and friendly."
"Overall great ambiance with a Caribbean vibe. You can enjoy your birthday here or even just come to eat a delicious meal while watching sports.Make sure to arrive early as peak hours get busy for table service. You can always sneak into the bar stool area for a more engaged atmosphere and surround view."
"Amazing views and excellent dining experience. Dined at the Fulton during NYC Summer Restaurant Week. The Florida Red Snapper Ceviche was so fresh and packed with flavor. Spaghetti alle Vongole and Roasted Salmon were amazing. Can't wait to stop by again to try the full menu."
"Glur Thai is absolutely delicious. Even amongst the scores of fantastic Thai restaurants in Manhattan, the food here stands out to me.I am a vegetarian, so I'll start off by saying that I've rarely, if ever, see a non-vegetarian restaurant have so many veg-friendly options. The vegetarian options were so dominant on the menu that my friend and I both had a tough time trying to figure out if Glur might just be a fully-veg restaurant. If you eat meat, don't worry, they do have meat options available- but there's just many choices for the herbivores- tempeh, tofu, Impossible meat, vegetables, mock duck, mock chicken- the list goes on and on.I had two dishes here on my visit. For my appetizer, I had the vegetable curry puffs. They were amazing. The pastry crust was wonderfully laminated and light, and the filling was seriously good. It was a spiced blend of corn sweet potatoes, with a hint of sweetness. I highly recommend it even for non-vegetarians.For my main dish, I had the pad gra pow with Impossible meat. I enjoyed this dish so much, I cannot wait to have it again. The basil flavor was strong, it had a slight sweetness, and the chili provided a kick without being overwhelming. The best part of the dish was the use of the ground Impossible meat that provided the more authentic (and satisfying) minced meat texture that is missing when restaurants offer a pad gra pow with cubed tofu. There was a fantastic crispy texture to someof the Impossible meat, almost like it was prepared like a smash-burger where there are crispy, Maillard-blessed edges to the meat. For a vegetarian that doesn't often get to have this, it was awesome.Glur has been added to my go-to list of Thai reataurants in New York. I can't wait to go back and try out more items from the menu."
"Best Chinese food in Chinatown...been there for banquet parties and the food's been great, esp. their Peking duck; try their fish specialties and other chef specials. Manager Johnny is very friendly and awesome, and very accommodating. Great prices too. However it is cash only and closed on Sundays, so go to the ATM beforehand. Highly recommend."
"My husband and I dined here for Valentines and had a wonderful experience. The interior is gorgeous, as is the view from the second floor dining area overlooking the Hudson and nearby boats. Very romantic. Highly recommend the mozzarella sticks with caviar! It's trendy and pricy, but it's super well done. Steaks were amazing, as was the baked potato with truffles"
"This place was great! The ambience was nicer than I gathered from pictures. We made reservation through Seated for 8pm and we were the only ones in the restaurant. We ordered the soup dumplings (7/10), and the Peking duck (8/10). Service was prompt checking back multiple times. I highly recommend!"
"A friend introduced me to this place years ago and it's been my favorite Chinese-Korean restaurant to go to. So underrated and easy to miss spot. I mainly come here for their jjajangmyeon (N2. noodles with brown sauce). It's my favorite here and as of right now, better than any spot in the town area specifically this dish. Noodles are perfectly chewy and combined with the fresh aroma of the sauce, filled with sweet onions and baby chunks of meat- it's hard to find any fault with it! Maybe except that if you didn't know what it was, it's not exactly visually appealing. But taste wise... mmmmm!! I've passed the word along to other friends and coworkers and they always ask to come back here with me. "When's our next Noods date?" Haha Besides the jjajangmyeon, I also recommend their Spicy Seafood soup! It's not terribly spicy- just a tiny kick to your taste buds. The soup tastes especially good on a cold winter day. When I'm not sure what I'm in the mood for, I usually go for their N1, which is a combination of the jjajangmyeon and their Spicy seafood soup. A bowl split down the middle so you have half portion of each. Best of both worlds! Also have had their fried pork dumplings. They're very oily but if you can overlook that, they're crispy yet juicy on the inside and filled with lots of meaty goodness. Also comes with a sweet dipping sauce. I don't get this every time but when I do- definitely no regrets. Their kimchi is a hit or miss. Somehow not always consistent. But their yellow pickled radish tastes good especially with the jjajangmyeon. Every time I come here, the staff are always nice and welcomes you at the door. I've always been seated right away and service has always been excellent."
