"Good pizza. Undifferentiated, like 90% of NYC pizza spots. Location is good, although there are like 30 of them."
"This little pizza spot is a gem. It is a hole in the wall. My kid and I like it, a lot. The owner is friendly and gives off this good energy. He looks like he loves what he does. You know what they say about food prepared with love; it is great!Even though the place is tiny, we always choose to stay and eat here. Pizza should not go into a box and carried out. That is my opinion. The pizza is just right. Not too thin or thick. Just the right amount of cheese and sauce. It is not like those soft, sloppy slices that you get at some places. I eat the crust here; I rarely eat the crust. We usually get two plain cheese slices, and I will get one with pineapples, mushrooms, and black olives. If you are in the area and, want to eat delicious pizza. Come here; it will not disappoint.-Toppins are 0.50 cents each.-They take cash and credit cards."

"This restaurant was fantastic!!! Our best food choice was the mushroom risotto. The rigatoni was our 2nd fav. Followed by the bolognese and the fig pizza. Seriously ... we were still full the next day! Hands down.... Their lemoncello was exceptional and we dreamt of it for days on end! The Hugo Spritz is not on the menu but made perfectly!Great service. Crowded so make reservations!!"
"I've continued to have mediocre pizza almost every time I venture into the city. Not this last time. Scarr's pizza was great!Service (5/5):The lady taking my order was pleasant and efficient. The people working there seemed to enjoy working there.Ambience (5/5):The place gave traditional pizza shop vibes with some 50's diner aesthetic. The restaurant actually has two parts. The front is a pizza shop/ stand where you can point and choose which pizza slice you want. The back part is a restaurant and bar with arcade games.Food (5/5):I opted for a simple cheese slice and asked for some hot honey on top. Fresh. Tasty. Quality. What more can you ask for? Now when people visit me and want a New York slice, I'll take them here!"
"VIP pizza was great with the Brussels sprout salad! Service and ambiance was excellent!"
"My friends and I decided to try brunch at Bar Primi Penn District, and it turned out to be an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed by a warm and inviting atmosphere, with a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern elegance. The space was lively but never overwhelming, making it an ideal setting for a relaxed yet engaging meal with great company. The brunch menu offered an impressive variety of options, catering to both classic and more adventurous tastes. Whether you're in the mood for something hearty or light, there's definitely something to satisfy every craving. One of the highlights of our meal was the Eggs in Purgatory--perfectly poached eggs nestled in a rich, spicy tomato sauce, served with a side of crusty bread for dipping. The flavors were bold yet balanced, making each bite incredibly satisfying. To accompany our meal, we explored their delightful Mimosa selection, which featured a variety of fresh and refreshing combinations. It was the perfect touch to elevate our brunch experience and made for a wonderful way to toast to a great weekend. The staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring that we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed.Overall, Bar Primi Penn District proved to be an excellent brunch spot, offering a perfect mix of delicious food, great drinks, and a comfortable ambiance. Whether you're catching up with friends, celebrating a special occasion, or simply indulging in a leisurely weekend meal, this is definitely a place worth visiting. I can't wait to come back and try even more from their enticing menu!"
"Malaparte has a strong reputation in the area so figured to give it a go. The place is small and tables are tight but that is nyc. We started with the beet salad and tuna salad app. Both were delicious. The rigatoni pesto and paparedelle bolognese were lovely. Could have been a little more al dente but all good. The pork chop special was a play on milanese style but the pork chop bad a parmesan topping. It was good as well. There were only two desserts that didn't jump out to us so didn't go for it. Wine selection was good too. I would recommend and come back. 4 stars."
"Grew up close by but never went until it got popular with the garlic knot sandwiches. Came specifically for the chicken parm with vodka sauce one and we were soooo glad we followed the advice of getting double the chicken. It was delicious and the meat was so tender and juicy, not dry or fried to a crisp like most places! This is definitely a messy one to eat so be prepared with napkins. The sausage roll was pretty tasty as well but the marinara sauce was a tad bit sweet. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. I came on a very busy night but everyone was greeted and treated with the same kind courtesy. Will definitely come back to try their other slices and sandwiches!"
"Did my boyfriend ask me to join him to pick up the pizza because he thought there might be a limit to one pie per person?!?! Or does he just enjoy my company? There were three of us, it was raining but we were determined to make it to Chrissy's Greenpoint location finally! We had been to the pop up at Superiority Burger and we had a "ratatouille" moment, no there were no rats....but we were in awe of the first pizza bite. We selected a "regular", the special that had some spicy "Calabrian Peppers" pizza and a pepperoni. We ordered the pizzas. We stood outside in the drizzle. The place had some people sitting inside. Warning: you can only order full pies...and if you're planning on eating the whole pie in house then DON'T ORDER THE BOX. I warned you ok. It took about 20 minutes and then we were on our way back home to enjoy. Absolute perfection! Wow! Loved every bite. Loved the classic pizza. The special had that kick in the pants. The boys enjoyed the pepperoni. I know Chris (owner) did his research in pizza. It's not enough that he's the lead singer of the punk band "WARTHOG" but during quarantine he became the pizza specialist. And thank goodness he did. He seemed to know all the right people in the business. And perfected the product. And a few years later, we can take it home with us to enjoy. Can not wait to continue in devouring this pizza for years to come!"
"I Love this place!! The Pizza is Amazing! Especially The Grandma Special!!!! The workers are Great as well. I Feel like this is the best Pizza in The City!!"
"We selected 4 slices of pizza to take with us home to Florida from New York. The staff was super nice - giving us a smaller box and layering the pizza for easy carrying. As you can imagine, everybody on our Delta flight was a bit jealous! The slices, even heated it up many hours later, were delicious!!"
"Pretty damn good pizza. They've come along way from what I recall. Pretty sure they're using Michael's sauce from across the street in their pizzas."

Came for a late night slice and encountered fast service and tasty pizza. Doesn't stand out in any real way from other pizza slice joints.

the new management is good news for this beloved neighborhood slice joint! i tried the plain slice which featured a sour dough crust and was nothing short of wonderful -- the cheese, sauce, and crust were perfect. i'll be returning and highly recommend them.

I wasn't that impressed. Our service was excellent, but the food was just meh.I got the chicken parm and the chicken tasted very gamey. It was also heavy and oily.

Visited because of the hype on tiktok! And Scarr's pizza did not disappoint!!!!We opted to get the hot boi slice which comes with hot honey, pepperoni and jalapenos! This quickly became my favorite bites as the crust was perfectly crispy/burnt and had the perfect amount of sweetness and spice. Service was fast and friendly, there wasn't a huge line around 8pm. The store itself is small but there is seating in the back! I truly think about this slice frequently..

Our experience at Emmy Squared Pizza, a childhood friend and I was stellar. We both enjoyed our dining experience. We chose the wings, Caesar salad, and MVP pizza along with two glasses of Reisling. The wings which were jumbo wings covered with sriracha crystal glaze, peanuts , and cilantro with ranch dress were okay. Although, they were a little flavorful outside, the inside lacked in flavor. The Caesar salad was the star of this dining experience. It was served with anchovy filets but we asked our server Ivan to remove them. Salad was so delicious. The MVP sicilian pizza was delicious as well. It is made with house made vodka sauce, red sauce, parsley pesto, and a sesame seed crust. It was simply amazing. Service was top notch by our server and the bartender. Restaurant is beautiful.

After surviving the nearby Squid Games, we celebrated with an impromptu group dinner here at ~9pm. Fortunately, the space is larger than most Manhattan penthouses, so they were able to accommodate our party of 6 right away.Despite my best intentions, I never made it to the OG Bar Primi, so can't compare with big sis. I will say that this location hit all the spots--in addition to being spacious and beautiful, the menu had what every life-or-death contestant wants: delicious carbs, and lots of them.Everything was well done, but some things were well done-er than others. In order from great to good: - Chitarra & Clams- Vesuvio Scampi- Sicilian Squares - Smoked Potato- Hot Knots- Bucatini- Fusilli Giganti- Ricotta AgnolottiAnd the totally 'grammable Strawberry Fantasia dessert actually tasted as good as it looked, loaded with real strawberries and blended with more real strawberries. All in all, one of your best bets for a good meal in the soulless Penn Station/Moynihan area.

Walked in on a random Thursday evening around 7pm and we were told the wait was about an hr. Make sure you get reservations in advance! At the moment they didn't even have seats at the bar, so of course we waited. The wait was definitely worth it. The food was absolutely amazing- the spaghetti was creamy and tasty. The lasagna's sauce was so delicious. We decided to end with the chocolate mousse which was creamy and easy to eat but I wish we also tried the tiramisu- will be coming back for this on a weekend!

The food was excellent. The staff and service was excellent. They make you feel like you are at home. I had the chicken parm garlic knot, chicken Marsala slice. Everything was hot and fresh. Even sat down there and ate it. Will definitely be going back to try the other things.

"Variety of slices -Yummy thick sliced pizza and nice staff. Stop in for afternoon slice!"
"THE go to spot for a great NYC slice in Gramercy. Clean, friendly and the tri-color pizza is my favorite, but everything is great. Can't go wrong with this place"
"Disappointed. But, maybe it's my fault. Read the reviews and decided to place a pick up order from here. Was definitely trying the chop cheese sandwich but when I went to order, I was looking at the pics from the business owner here on Yelp and decided to order the spicy chicken sandwich and the OG chicken sandwich. I was very disappointed after I picked up my order and discovered that the chicken sandwiches were complied of two chicken strips that taste like they were originally frozen so not even fresh strips. The pics clearly show either a chicken breast or chicken thigh sandwich. Usually when places use chicken strips for anything they note it. And the only difference between the sandwiches was that they added two jalapeños and three small red peppers on the sandwich. The strips alone lacked in taste. Now the chopped cheese was flavorful but it was spread over three Hawaiian rolls instead of hoagie bread and also did not look as pictured. Like I said probably my fault getting a chicken sandwich at a place clearly named after what they are good for. I think the business owner needs to take their pics down seeing as it does not look like the actual product."
"This jawn has been around since I was tryna sag my pants and wore XXXL white ts.Biased opinion, but probably best pizza in Bensonhurst. The brothers? Behind the counter are goofballs. Love their relationship with each other.Their baked dough with tomato sauce and cheese is one the best in Brooklyn. Definitely give them a visit. I'm not a big pizza guy. Hope that speaks a little volume.Would come back"
"I'm from Philly and was in the area for a work training. Randomly came here for lunch and it didn't disappoint. Great pizza and awesome/super friendly service! I ordered a slice of fresh mozzarella cheese with tomato sauce and a garlic knot. Would recommend both."
"Loved the vegetarian couscous dish. Perfect for an unexpectedly cool, rainy evening in Brooklyn ~ I'd enjoy it in nicer weather too. The base tastes great. Crème brûlée was Très magnifique :) Staff were helpful and spirited. Appreciated the outdoor seating. I'll be back!"
"I can't believe I have never reviewed Joe G! It is my go-to when I am meeting someone around Columbus Circle. Their proscuitto and arugula pizza is absolutely fantastic. Pasta has been a little less consistent, but always very decent.Great drinks, great service (bartenders especially) and you can sit for hours and they leave you alone so it is a great place for a relaxed friend meal. It feels old-school in a really good way."
"Truly some of the best pizza of this style you can find in NYC right now. Currently only operating via preorders that sell out instantly, he is now selling the scheduled pies out of the old Superiority Burger space on 9th St, which will soon be home to the storefront where you will you be able to place walk-up orders.I was fortunate enough to order soon after he started making pies out of his Bushwick apartment, and have now secured a pie from this new location, which is just as phenomenal. Start with an original to taste how good it is, and then definitely try the Demon Pig Boy."
"One of the hardest things I ever had to do was break up with East Village Pizza. I'll spare you the novel, but I couldn't justify paying $6.25 for a single slice of thin crust pepperoni pizza that would just wake my stomach up and leave me hungrier than before. After taking a few months to heal, I was finally ready to get back on the horse and find a new late night pizza spot to hit after striking out at the local bars.On Saturday, after striking out at the local bars, my buddy mentioned this place and that it was a good Prince Street Pizza comparable. We walked in here and were met with a small line and not one, but two, neon signs. I love a good neon sign. The staff is LOCKED in and are running this thing like a finely tuned machine. I opted to get two slices of the thick square pizza, with the cute little slightly charred pepperonis on top hehe. $11.98 total for two thick slices. HUGE.I think this may be better than Prince Street, but if it's not, it's 1a/1b. The crust is perfectly crisped, and those pepperonis are a gift from god. True artistry. After demolishing the first slice, I was like "Damn I lowkey could have been good with just one slice..." I think I am still a bit scarred from the East Village Pizza relationship.I have found my new late night pizza spot. I want to leave you, my dear reader, with a quote from Marilyn Monroe:"Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together."IG @jnov_Tiktok @jnov__"
"LTD has the absolute best white pizza on earth - delicate & just slightly garlicky - soo yummy and the people who work there are just delightful."
"Was looking for a pizza spot nearby because I was craving pizza and East Village Pizza definitely hit the spot. Ordered a pepperoni slice as it just came out the oven piping hot. The pepperoni had the perfect amount of crisp and the crust was also thin and crispy. It's a small pizza spot with two tables and a few bar seats. The service was quick and friendly. Will definitely stop by if I am craving a new york slice again."
"We walked in at 8 pm as a party of 17 (we weren't expecting to have that many with us!!) and they accommodated us immediately. We were all out of the restaurant full of pizza, pasta, bruschetta, and wine less than two hours after sitting down. The service and food were awesome, especially the house made vegan cashew ricotta that was sweetened with honey. I'd definitely come back!"
"The "elevated slice shop" is quickly emerging as a new genre in NYC thanks to L'industrie. Think classic New York slices but with either a bit more artisanship with respect to the dough, or elevated ingredients like burrata, etc.Jonny's secret is their housemade vodka sauce. It's damn good! Next time I'll try with burrata, but the sauce alone carries this slice."
"I know I reviewed slice joint less than a year ago, but I felt compelled to revisit the review even though my sentiments are basically the same. We were at Grand Delancey, and EVERY SINGLE TIME we are, we get pizza here (usually more than once during each visit). The spicy pepperoni square is in my top 3 slices period!! Their plain slice and the white pizza are also bomb. When you have an owner that clearly cares about the end product the customer is getting, and puts their heart and soul into that food, you are guaranteed something special. And every time I've had this pizza it has been nothing less. In a city with such great pizza, and in a neighborhood with a few gems not too far away, Slice Joint really manages to stand out. You shouldn't take my word for it. Just go find out for yourself. ENJOY!!!"
"Stopped by for a quick slice of pepperoni pizza, and I was not disappointed! The staff was friendly and wasted no time warming up my slice. Just a few minutes later, I was sprinkling some crushed red peppers, and wow, I absolutely loved it! The pepperoni was incredibly flavorful, and the slice was just the perfect quick bite. I'll definitely be coming back for more. Highly recommend!"
"Get the baby pepperoni Sicilian absolute perfection.Cheaper prices for cash payment. Quick service, and lotsssss of choices."
"Wow. Just wow. What a sandwich! Ordered from here on a whim and man am I glad I did. This will absolutely be added to the weekly rotation at my house. We ordered the ESNYCPAPI and ESNYC Bacon Melt on a roll and oh my god. They were DELICIOUS. They also threw in a couple of cookies. I see what you did there! It worked haha will have to add to our next order cause surprise, they were also perfect."
"pizza was out of this world levels of delicious, staff was kind and attentive, can't wait to visit again!"
"A corner neighborhood pizza joint right on Flatbush Ave. When you walk in, you know it's old school, but then you're confronted by this neo monster stainless steel pizza oven! It's the size of most NYC studio apartments with a turning multi-leveled spindle in the middle spinning your pizza through the 575°F heat (there's a digital temperature readout). It's an induced convection oven / air fryer which gives the crust a crunchy bottom and edges. It has 2 sliding glass doors and it seems the whole room goes up 10° every time they open them to load and unload the beast. We came in an hour before closing on a Thursday night hoping to grab a bite and we had table service, no problem. 2 other parties came in after us also and were still eating when we left. We didn't want to tie them up past closing, so kept our order simple: a large pie with sausage & mushrooms, Caesar salad and 3 fountain sodas. I was really surprised by the Caesar salad because it had fresh homemade dressing with egg that gave it a really toothsome texture. Even the croutons were homemade and it was only $10 to serve 3 people! The pizza here is a classic New York slice. Our whole pie was freshly made, popped into the oven and we watched it spin around like an LP record at 33 1/3 RPM (that's OG, as well as the 80's music). It wasn't long before it came out and cut into 8 slices with 4 quick strokes of the rolling blade. Nothing is better than a fresh pie with oozy mozzarella! The crust wasn't saggy and held up well when eating it NYC style without the cheese sliding off with all the toppings. This area of Brooklyn is a truck for us and we don't come this way very often, but I would really like to come back at a more reasonable dinner hour to try their kitchen dishes like linguini with white clam sauce or maybe even a nice veal parmagiana hero."
"Cute place in Williamsburg Awesome decor Outdoor area available Kid friendly Good and friendly service Ambiance is cool for a meet up with friends or day date Drinks could be better mixed and presented My favorite food item was the prosciutto pizza The artichoke dip was clunky and needs more seasoning A suggested addition to the menu would be French fries for the kids Happy we got to try this place"
"I really liked their NY Slice Pizza, What truly sets them apart is their mastery of the perfect slice - crispy crust, cheese, and a tangy sauce and the best part? No flop in sight! Each bite is a delight, with no soggy disappointments. NY Slice Pizza has won me over, and I can't wait to go back for more."
"Hands down, one of my favorite pizza shops in Williamsburg. I became a frequent customer and the service is fast with consistent staff and pizza in my opinion. No frills NYC pizza. A lot of locals go here and it seems to always be busy. There is a good amount of variety without going out of the norm so there is always something for everyone. The quality, price and service is superb for me. What also gets an A is the fact that they're open pretty late and near the G/L train on Lorimer/Metropolitan and some major buses that leads back to Bedford or Queens. Limited seating so takeout highly recommended.Indoor dining, takeout and delivery available.Accepts cash, card and Applepay. No bathroom.Open late.Bon appetit!"
"The food was wonderful. The ambiance was very relaxing and the serving staff was amazing. The location however! I hate going to places near Time square. Leave EARLY. The place will be hard to get to. But honestly this place is an amazing and there are different location options if you need. I got the Calamari which was made perfectly. I also got the Cacio e Pepe -- really good. I have zero complaints about the food. Portions were good. Bread and olive oil as a little nibble before the food. My drink was good. I heard the margaritas were better though. I'll get that next time."
