"Mama mía!! Call The Godfather and recommend this place for pizza. Highly recommend. The white, pepperoni and eggplant pizzas were amazing."
"I think when I went in 2017 previously, I caught them on an off night. I recently went and it was much improved. Lobster crepe was to die for. Pasta and chicken were good. Almond biscotti could have been sweeter, but overall, good. Their prices are a bit high, so you may want to lean into the appetizers, salads and half orders of pasta. Nice old-school romantic vibe, Sinatra playing overhead, you get the image. Very hard to find old-school Italian like this anymore in Brooklyn. New Corner, La Trattoria, Fiorentino's... all gone. Last of a kind."

"This restaurant was fantastic!!! Our best food choice was the mushroom risotto. The rigatoni was our 2nd fav. Followed by the bolognese and the fig pizza. Seriously ... we were still full the next day! Hands down.... Their lemoncello was exceptional and we dreamt of it for days on end! The Hugo Spritz is not on the menu but made perfectly!Great service. Crowded so make reservations!!"
"Amazing food, beautiful ambience , amazing staff. Small portions but will fill you up. Tiramisu was small for how much it was."
"I had a long Sunday had to take my son to the airport, and travel back home alone got home took a nap but woke up starving I didn't want to cook so I took myself out to forma pasta, sometimes ya gotta romanticize ya life ya know? So I did just that I love taking myself out to eat and people watching. Of course I take a trip to forma pasta got some salmon and pasta and I love when they recommend what wine pairs best with the meal I ordered and of course the food was good the vibes in the spot were nice this is definitely my go to when I want a nice pasta dinner"
"Panna cotta - excellent. Squash - excellent.Vegetarian pasta - a bit garlicky for my taste. Meat ravioli - very good. I heard good things about the lasagna, but have not tired yet. Great date night vibes, especially in the heated enclosed back yard. Just like sitting in an urban garden. Reasonably priced too."
"Good: The Sicilian slice was really good. Their dough is quite yummy.Service is fast.So-so: Their take on the white pizza was interesting, just not my cup of tea.The bad: They don't have baconNo place to sitFinal verdict: Wouldn't object to trying it again if I was in the area and needed to-go only."
"Food was great - highly recommend when you are in the mood for a really good sandwich that is straight forward and won't disappoint!"

We came here for an anniversary dinner and made reservations a week beforehand, but the restaurant wasn't too busy on a Saturday night. Upon entering, the ambiance brings a classy, old school vibe of an upscale, Italian restaurant. Once we were seated, the service was quick to bring us menu, water, and bread to start.First of all, their complimentary bread comes in 3 types of bread and 2 crackers along with olives, salami, cheese, and butter! I don't know about you, but I've never had such a magnificent display of starter, which is free too. Of course, try not to overindulge on this as the food here is just as excellent and comes in huge portions. We started off with the Slab of Bacon ($16), which was fatty and crispy. For the main entree, I had the Lamb Shank ($39) while he had the Braised Rabbit ($39) and we shared the Baked Truffle Vodka Rigatoni ($23). The lamb was amazingly tender and flavorful perfectly paired with the creamy and chunky mashed potatoes. For the rigatoni, I probably would pass on the truffle as the flavor was too strong for us and the baked crispiness made it a bit too dry, so stick to a classic vodka pasta next time. Pasta was a bit basic overall even though they make their pasta sauces here and even have them jarred for sale. Definitely need to try the infamous Veal Chop Parmigiana a.k.a "The Smash Job" next time though, which even comes bone-in. Throughout our meal, we paired the food with a couple cocktails as well. I had the Elderflower Old Fashioned ($18) and Lychee Spritz ($16). The elderflower was a nice touch to the old fashioned that I've never seen before. The lychee cocktail was refreshing and quite alcohol-forward. The boyfriend also had the Avenue R ($18) and Biscotti Martini ($18). The first essentially being a strong whiskey drink, but the biscotti martini was delicious coming from someone who doesn't even like espresso. Definitely a must if you like an espresso martini with a touch of sweetness. By the end of the meal, I wish I had room for dessert. Overall, Michael's was a delicious meal perfect for any big or small occasion. I look forward to returning and trying more items on the menu as I don't think you can go wrong with anything they serve here.

I wasn't that impressed. Our service was excellent, but the food was just meh.I got the chicken parm and the chicken tasted very gamey. It was also heavy and oily.

Yet again a great experience and this time got to try a couple more dishes! Overall favorite for the table was the truffle dish, Tagliatelle al Tartufo - GET THIS! Super creamy, plenty of fresh truffle and reasonably priced! Second favorite was the Gnocchi - softest / pillowy gnocchi I've ever had. This came with a short rib ragu sauce. I also got the cacio e pepe like always. Still very good with the pici dough but the Tagliatelle and Gnocchi were still top. Also got the scallop special and the burrata. Good but I would stick to their pastas! Ended dinner with the affogato and tiramisu which were solid. Will be back!! Love the vibe of this place - cozy but bustling and the service is always good. Love their "wine menu" ;)

This pasta shop is a must-visit! The aroma when you walk in is absolutely mouthwatering, and the simple menu makes it easy to choose if you're indecisive like I am. I love that they have a different special each day of the week--it's a fun way to try something new! Whatever you do, do yourself a favor and order the side of eggplant parmesan; it's a true delight and complements the pasta perfectly. The space feels clean and well-kept, and I really appreciate how the staff takes the time to wipe down surfaces after each customer. This location has more space compared to the one on Bedford, so it's definitely my go-to for a more calm ambiance.

A charming Italian restaurant with a superb menu. LaRina is cozily decorated with green plants and wine bottles of varying sizes. Adding to the warm vibe is a pleasantly funky soundtrack featuring Parcels, Jungle, and Khruangbin. We received excellent service and were taken care of at every moment during our meal. The food here is outstanding. I like to pair a salad with my pasta and ordered the Insalata: little gem lettuce, dollops of pecorino cheese, spicy breadcrumbs. For pasta I ordered Smoked Spaghetti Aglio & Olio: garlic, Calabrian chiles, hazelnuts, which was cooked to a perfect al dente. I couldn't take a picture of the tiramisu because it was so good we quickly ate it in a few bites. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary brunch here. We loved our experience and agreed LaRina is perfect for both a special occasion and an exquisite laid back meal.

We ordered delivery from here. We got the Bianca Pizza with gorgonzola cheese and carmelized onions. We added hot peppers as well. The onions were very sweet and balanced nicely by the sharp cheese. I love that they have a white pie without ricotta. Very tasty. We also got garlic knots, which were soft and buttery. The greek salad had a ton of feta cheese. We asked for the olives on the side and they honored the request. The salad was a good portion size as well. Will definitely be a repeat customer!

The sandwiches are really good, IMO. I love everything parmigiana so I've had all of those from here and the Russo's on 5th Ave--chicken Parm, meatball Parm, eggplant Parm...can't go wrong with any of them. In the interest of branching out a little, I recently ordered the #18 (prosciutto, fresh mozz, basil, & extra virgin olive oil) with sun-dried tomatoes. It was really good. Also, in my opinion, these sandwiches are BIG. They're not cheap, but I can easily get at least two meals out of them. They also come with a complimentary can of soda. The Russo's on 7th Ave has a reputation for being a bit surlier than the one on 5th Ave--a lot of people have said that the 5th Avenue staff is warmer and the overall vibe there is a lot friendlier. The guy who has taken my orders at 7th Ave the last couple of times has been polite and nice, though.

"This is a lovely weeknight Italian spot in the West Village, only offering walk ins. There is very limited seating space inside so if you'd prefer not to wait, try to show up before opening time. The food itself was delicious and tasted very fresh, and they also have a lovely wine selection. My buddies and I loved this spot and would 100% return.(Arguably one of the best cacio e pepe's in the city, and the tiramisu is very light and not overly sweet)"
"Great restaurant right outside of the busy Soho hustle bustle. It's a short walk from the Dominic hotel where we stay. Our meals and selection of Italian wine or delicious. We are very comfortable eating inside or outside at this restaurant. Will definitely be back next time in New York."
"First restaurant I had in NYC and everything was delicious! Pricey? Yes. Delicious? YES. Apps: FRITTO MISTO (calamari) 5/5Pasta: CAVATELLI BARESE 4/5. This might not be everyone's favorite, as it has a lighter and slightly bitter profile from the broccoli, but the more we ate the better it became! It leaves you with just enough flavor for you to be wanting more. Great for people who prefer lighter sodium flavor profile. Pizza: TARTUFO 5/5.This fed three girls and we had leftovers."
"Great everything. The sandwiches are piled high. Freshly made pasta. The homemade soppressata is to die for. You don't stay in business for 95 years if you're not top notch."
"Had to buy some pie while in New York. Stopped here just before heading to Governor's Island. Textbook pizza, quick service, straight to the point. Badda bing, Badda boom."
"I was driving to the Grammercy area for some wine boxes, a new organic vegetable planter for inside the apartments of city dwellers, available for sale by early spring 2025, MESSAGE me with questions. A Classic big slice New York midtown pizza in an unpretentious setting and a soft holiday vibe set up on me as I entered. Fifteen to twenty pizzas in the shallow dish behind the looking glass, ready to go home with a lucky customer. I could see the commitment to quality not just by the properly clad pizzamen fashioning their spinning skills but the over population of pepperoni and mushrooms topping the pies. Not organic, not eco necessarily friendly, no weird toppings minus the Hawaiian pizza but many flexible options for any tastes, very on the go midtown friendly and so was Sam. We spoke a bit and in moments I was out the door with two regular slices for me and my best girl. My slice cracked on the sides and structurally went to puzzle pieces, I think it was my hungry swooping double hand attack that caused the terrible handling crime. She loved hers, said it's one of the best shoes ever had so that pushed my four stars to a five and that's just fine by me. Not an authentic Italian treasure but straightforward classic NY slice."
"Truly love this place. Pasta is top notch like you'd get at an expensive sit down restaurant. They know what they are doing and whoever designed the menu is first class. I'm grateful to be able to eat such high quality pasta dishes at that price point."
"Dropped in for a quick lunch break, not too busy and service was fast and friendly. Had the Pizza, salad & wings : salad was iceberg lettuce with cheese, dice tomatoes & cucumber, 7/10. The buffalo wings were cooked but not crispy fried, 6/10. Pizza was freshly made & hot melted cheese was perfect 10/10."
"We selected 4 slices of pizza to take with us home to Florida from New York. The staff was super nice - giving us a smaller box and layering the pizza for easy carrying. As you can imagine, everybody on our Delta flight was a bit jealous! The slices, even heated it up many hours later, were delicious!!"
"The fresh pasta hanging in the window drew me in. I tried the fettuccine bolognese and it was delicious! The pasta and bolognese tasted homemade. The fettuccine had a good bite to it. The bowl of pasta for $15 is very reasonably priced. I wished I would have tried the pizza and some of the other pasta dishes. The staff was friendly. The restaurant was clean, well lit and has ample seating. Will definitely visit this place again whenever I'm back in NYC."
"My mouth is watering thinking about this pizza. Hands down one of the best slices I've ever had in my life - and I've had pizza in several different countries! The service was quick and I appreciated them bringing our heated slices out to us. The space to eat outside wasn't the cleanest area but you also have to remember where it is - in not the cleanest city If anyone, I'd take half a star away for the cleanliness but since I can't do that, I'll give them all 5 for the taste!!"
"Terrific modern Italian in a beautiful older space with really great service5 star food: every pasta based dish I have ever tried here has been outstanding. It's one of the few places where you almost can't go wrong food wise 5 star service: the staffers are friendly and funny. The vibe is a warm "welcome to my home" feeling5 star ambience: it's old New York elegance outside and swanky modern comforts inside."
