"Top tier fried pork dumplings. For $5 you get 10 fresh and flavorful dumplings. The chili oil and dumpling sauce take them to a new level. It's a small place with only a few tables, but everything comes out quick. We got ours to go, walked almost a mile and they were still warm when we sat down to enjoy them. Highly recommend!"
"Went here in late September for a work outing with dumplings! It's a bit pricey, I recommend going with friends so you can try things family style. The dumplings are *GOOD*, all flavors but pork is my favorite. Their Scallion Pancakes are great too! I'd definitely go again. They also made sure all our waters were full all the time."

"Tasty takeout Chinese. The chicken was white meat, the shrimp was cooked perfectly with a perfect amount of flavor. The scallion pancake was divine. The fried rice was plentiful will definitely have to try in person!"
"My favorite spot for ramen in the financial district! Kuu almost always has a line out the front because it's so good, but it moves quickly. When you eat in, the space is small inside and you might share a table with others but they have dividers set up so you don't feel like you're sharing. Get the tonkatsu broth! It is cozy, hearty and comforting. The chili ramen special is also good and has a nice bit of spice. We also enjoyed the karaage chicken. Service is prompt and friendly. They made sure my water cup was never empty. You can also order beers, sake or sodas and juices, and for dessert they have sesame and matcha ice cream. We have also ordered take out which is nicely packaged, flavor travels well."
"i liked the vibes and it was surprisingly no wait for lunch on saturday, cash only. the rice is a little bit mushy imo but the udon texture is goodambiance is small and cozy"
"The noodles here are the absolute best! It's not a large space but doesn't feel crowded or noisy. The tables are mostly four tops with only one large table that I noticed (I think it seats 8?) so if you have a larger party, you might want to call ahead. I recommend the shrimp fried noodles or the chicken katsu ramen, both dishes are phenomenal. The servers are very nice, and happy to accommodate small changes to the menu items and various spice levels."
"Good Thai food. Service is quick. We were four after the NYC marathon and quickly got a table and served. Cocktails were decent. Place looks clean and smartly decorated."
"Perhaps one of the most endearing dishes in Chinese cuisine is wonton soup. It's well known and loved by many, and there have been many variations depending on where in Asia one goes. Located on Mulberry Street in NYC's Chinatown, HK Wonton Garden is one of those places to eat authentic Cantonese food where I came for lunch today. With a very plain exterior front, I was greeted by the staff upon entering at an old-school vibe with different monetary currencies taped to the walls. As a repeat patron, I easily got a table by the kitchen. Some of the staff still wore the Hawaiian shirts and served up some tasty offerings. The menu is extensive for wonton and noodles, both with soup or dry, among other dishes. I decided on the wonton with noodle soup and sui mai. These were average pieces of pork and shrimp encased in this lovely wrap. For many years, this has been my favorite comfort food: a well-made bowl of hearty, authentic Hong Kong-style wonton noodles with the right taste and textural profile and using the correct condiments to create the desirable final end results. In Cantonese, 'wonton' roughly translates to 'clouds' as the wontons look like clouds floating in the soup and use thin wrap. Most dumplings are usually served with a thicker wrap. The meal began with a hot cup of tea. The food came out quick and hot. The flavor was unique and consistent, and the prices were fair as compared to other places. The portions were just right, and the staff efficient. I continue to recommend this place."
"The place is very busy when we came on a Thursday night without reservations. We were told it was a 30 minutes wait. The waiter seated us by the bar because we didn't want to wait. Staffs were friendly. The place is nice. We order a small crab fried rice which is the best fried we had in a while. The Klui Goong (5 shrimp rolls) were perfectly crispy shrimp rolls with dipping sauce. The shrimp rolls tasted good without the sauce. This restaurant definitely deserves their Michelin stars. Will definitely return by here and next time dressing for the occasion. Food: 5/5Service: 5/5Ambience: 5/5"
"My husband and I were seated in a quiet alcove. The decor included a wall with letters. we amused ourselves by finding words with connecting letters. We were enjoying restaurant week.My husband ordered the salmon with avocado sushi. Great flavor. I had the hamachi shishito sushi. This was also very good.I had the waygu beef sukiyaki. The udons were super tender. My broth was full of 2 kinds of mushrooms, cabbage, and beef. The broth was super flavorful. It was a very generous portion. The spicy eggplant that my husband ordered had the right amount of heat for him. There was lots of bok choy, eggplant, and peppers."
"I was recently craving Japanese food, but I wasn't sure if I wanted ramen, or udon, or sushi, or something else. Good thing Samurai Mama has all of those and more! This cozy restaurant has a combination of communal seating, booths, and regular tables. I ordered:* uni "tacos"* seafood miso soup* agedashi tofuThe uni "tacos" were kind of like a nigiri atop a piece of seaweed. Each order comes with two tacos. Great way to start the meal. The seafood miso soup was delicious - it was a spicy broth with everything you would expect in a miso soup, plus veggies, mussels, scallops, and shrimp! Yum! I loved this soup. The agedashi tofu came in a perfectly sized portion (six well-sized pieces) in a bowl of flavorful broth. I definitely want to come back to try the donburi and the udon. Samurai Mama is a solid choice!"
"I love the vibe of this ramen danbo as well as the fact that you can get almost the entire menu in a vegan version. The spicy curry ramen was delicious. I didn't add any extra toppings but if I were to go back I'd add tofu and spinach. The stamp card is also very cool and high tech (you store it on an Apple wallet pas they scan). I'll definitely be back!"

After a lackluster stop at the nearby Shu Jiao Fu Zhou (SJFZ), we landed here for some hand pulled noodles. Ironically this place operates just like SJFZ: you order at the counter at the far end of the space, then you eat your food at one of the communal tables. Now, this place has fewer tables and is even more crammed. There is no trash can; you have to leave your trash on the table and someone will come and put them away. Your food will be brought to your table once your order number is called. So better service than SJFZ. Also, this place is cozier and less dumpy than SJFZ and comes with better amenities - e.g. stock napkins at each table. We ordered Hand Pull Noodle w Soy Bean Paste (zhà jiàng miàn, 炸醬面 $6.95). The texture of the noodle was excellent, but the meat sauce was just salty without any depth in taste. We were very disappointed with the dish. I can't help but imagine their other dish that I wanted to try, Stewed Pork Taiwan Style w Rice, would fare similarly below par. Another featured offering, the Pork House Bao (commonly known as Gua Bao, $8.95 for 3) were pathetically tiny.We most likely won't be back.

I wish itooknmore pictures. This place is out of this world if you like this kind of food. Great customer service, very quick turn around on food, the food is amazing, tasty, balanced and has flavors that you probably didn't experience before. Its a small place so you might be asked to wait outside to get in if there is a line but trust me it's worth it! The crispy bao bun was so flaverful and the miso ramen with krispy belly was cooked to perfection! Give it a try if you are close to here!

3.5We are not into Udon but my family was ok with the other items on the menu. Small place - bar style seating upon entering, with a view of the kitchen which looked very clean. 3-4 small tables in the rear. Looks updated. Service is very attentive. Clean restroom available. No fuss type of food. Negi toro rice bowl was simple, not much toppings, better with some soy sauce and wasabi. Hamburg can be in a combo but got it as an appetizer; patty's small but tasty. Takoyaki was good, creamy center. Squid tempura in rice bowl was a bit soggy though I liked the flavor. A good place for quick, cheap eats.

Lovely dimly-lit spot with 9 tables for 4+ in the front and a counter bar. Wait staff friendly and willing to offer suggestions for my first visit, openly advising that some items were an additional charge. The broth was delicious and mild. A subtle flavor. The eggs were exquisite with a lovely aftertaste that blended perfectly with the broth. I was less sold on the panko-crusted chicken. The breadcrumbs were yummy in the broth but I wondered about the chicken. Few white meat pieces and more dark or pressed chicken pieces. That said, I'd come back for the broth and the refreshing and surprisingly spicy - just enough- cucumber dish.

Friendly staff. Nice folks. Busy place.BUT, there was literally a cockroach that crawled across the wall (where the dollar bills are taped) and was almost going into my friends' hair! I seriously grabbed my napkin in a flash, and grabbed it with napkin to kill it...midway through our meal.I could have shown the staff but I didn't mention it and we picked up the $90 bill (gratuity included). While the place was busy, this was not my cup of tea (or favorite type of Chinese)!I won't be back although they were really nice. Sorry

"I came here for dinner on a Monday night. I arrived a bit late, but they seated my friend while she waited. We originally sat towards the back of the restaurant, facing the street. A couple of the street lamps were brightly shining directly into our eyes. They didn't have curtains so we asked to switch tables. I enjoyed their music playlist, which included afro beats. The music wasn't too loud so it was easy to hold a conversation. To drink, I had the West Wind. I was expecting it to be fruity and sweet. It initially had a fruit flavor, but the after taste was quite bitter and unpleasant. My friend got the Tyger Strype and enjoyed it. To start, we shared the crispy turmeric and coconut crepe. This was a unique dish. Spiraled carrots and mushrooms topped a crispy fried base. The dressing soaked into the dough, creating a rich, flavorful bite. There was about a 10-15 minute wait between serving my entree and my friend's. I waited for hers to arrive so my food was cold by the time we started eating. I had the spicy mi goreng noodles. These were sweet and savory and dripping with flavor. Not very spicy, but coated in a generous amount of sauce. I would've enjoyed a few more peanuts. The noodles were topped with a puffy, half cooked egg with crispy edges that provided delicious texture to the dish. Overall, I enjoyed the food, but service and ambiance left a bit to be desired."
"This place is excellent! Courteous and fast service! Delicious Thai food! The whole red snapper with garlic sauce is a must! The duck and rice is also superb. I will definitely be back to try more dishes. Efficient service in a cute little spot."
"My friend and I stumbled across this restaurant on a Saturday night when we were wandering around trying to find a place for a late-ish dinner.Everything was delicious! We started with the Brussel Sprouts, which were incredibly flavourful. My friend had the Pork Katsu and said it was hearty and tender. I had the Hiyashi Udon set, which came with a handroll (spicy yellowtail) and a cabbage salad. I wasn't sure if I would enjoy a cold udon, but it worked thanks to the broth combined with scallions, tempura flakes and lemon to bring out all the flavours. The panna cotta made for a light, sweet finish."
"Very very small place with maybe 6 tables but don't let that fool you. The drinks are good and strong and the food is on point I forgot to take my food. The bartender tonight was very attentive and food was great. A little expensive but worth it. 2 matcha mules, 4 ramen bowls and 2 soft drinks for $157 after taxes plus tip. It was walking distance from our hotel (Hotel 50 Bowery)."
"FOOD AMAZING!!! BEING RUSHED OUT, NOT SO MUCH!The food was FANTASTIC! Loved the quality and reasonably priced appetizers and starters. Some of the entrees are overpriced. My firmed and I stuck to apps and rice and our bill was around $115. More details later. The mezcal drink was a standout! The reason for not giving 5 stars is that we were rushed out of our table. Asked 3 times if we were ready to pay by three different people after the checkbook had been on our table for only 10 minutes. We arrived at 5:35 and were being rushed out by 7:10 once we finished desert. This is not a good way to end with customers. One woman in black who looked like the manger started removing things from our table telling us to have a good night after we made our payment with the woman in a white top and beige pants. The same woman in white advised us that there was a speakeasy that she could escort us to when we were ready. (We had to use the restroom after getting up so urgently.) I was ready to give this place 5 stars for food and the service throughout the dinner, but I will be giving 4 stars due to the poorly rushed exit. It makes guests feel unwelcome especially after such a great meal. It's very disappointing. I understand there is a time limit per table especially on a Friday night but we were not over this limit and even if we were getting close to the limit, a proper way of executing getting our table is to offer a courtesy reminder at least 15 minutes before you want to give our table away. Menu Highlights:Drink: Five Points SourFood: Crispy Eggplant, Berkshire Pork, shrimp and garlic dumplings, and Johnny fried Rice. Desert: Creme Brûlée TartYou can't go wrong selecting these items unless you don't eat pork. My faves were the eggplant, rice and pork. So good and flavorful. Loved the bed of spinach greens that the pork was on top of. I would definitely come back here. Their speakeasy below is cute too. Get there early though because it's not that big and not many seats for the crowd that comes in after 8."
"Food was excellent. We got the Duck noodles pot, chicken curry hot soba, fried octopus, and parfait.Service was quick to take our orders and food arrived relatively quickly. Restaurant was packed until closing, but was never too loud. Good ambiance."
"The flavors were good (mainly bc of the sauces and bonito flakes) but wish the noodles had a little more flavor."
"Hanbat is the number 1 Korean restaurant in Korea Town. It is authentic and also the only restaurant in Korea Town to offer seaweed soup. The food and the service is very consistent."
"First time eating here on a whim-- food was delicious. Staff was really nice as well. We ordered a variety spread of beef drunken noodles, shrimp pad Thai, Tom kha coconut chicken, crab fried rice, Green Papaya Salad, chicken wings, and crispy pork belly. Highlight was the crab fried rice; there was SO much crab meat, and the shrimp pad Thai. Also check in for free crab Rangoon (:"
"Great rice noodles here of various fillings that are tasty and fresh. They also have some really good sponge cakes for super cheap. No indoor seating so to-go only, but perfect meal to eat at the park across the street!"
"Yuuuummmm. This food is authentic, fresh, tasty and delicious. Visiting from Los Angeles we were craving Din Tai Fung, and looked forward to this spot. Cute! I would almost suffice it to say that it was BETTER! Even the story behind this place added to the experience! DELICIOUS & MEMORABLE! Did I mention GREAT price point and open late."
"I got the New York style shoyu ramen with half the noodles and the spicy paste on the side. It was freaking delicious. If it had come standard with more/a variety toppings, it would be my favorite ramen in the city. As it is it comes with chasiu and chicken and half an egg, but then one piece of cilantro (literally one leaf ahaha) and like 3 wood ear mushrooms, which felt a little crazy for the price. But I sucked the broth down like it was the last Coca Cola left in the dessert; truly delicious. The staff was super friendly even though I was a bit confused on how to order lols and I was able to get a seat no problem! but the place is small so I did see a few people get turned away or quoted long wait times. Will be back because the broth is addictive but I might sneak some bean sprouts or scallions in in my handbag"
"If you are looking for affordable noodles soup in Manhattan, you should check out Dun Huang . This spot is famous for its authentic Chinese Northwestern cuisine.Their noodles are handmade and hand-pulled to perfection. We tried their signature Lanzhou beef noodles and it was very good. The broth was rich and aromatic , the beef was so tender. The noodles had the perfect chewy texture that only comes from being freshly made. Also must try is their sweet and sour short ribs . The balance of sweet and tangy flavors left us craving more.Whether you are looking for a quick bite or leisurely meal, this spot has you covered. The service is quick and efficient, making it ideal spot for a lunch break or a quick dinner after work.We ordered :-Signature Lanzhou Beef Noodles-Boiled Fish-Zha Jiang Noodles-Kelp salad-Lamb Chinese hamburger-Sweet and sour short ribsFollow @spinx17 for more NYC food adventures!"
"My new favorite restaurant in Brooklyn right now... The restaurant interior is so clean, simple, and stylish, the staff was so attentive to us. The food.. the food!!! I didn't think we were going to find delicious dumplings like this! The pan fried baos are bursting with hot soup, the scallion pancakes were so crispy and flakey, and the sautéed string beans were so flavorful. Everything was just hit after hit after hit! The food came out fast, fresh, and hot. This is just.. perfect, I don't know what else to say! Just incredible!"
"This is my most-visited NY restaurant by a wide margin. I haven't reviewed it for fear of bringing attention to it. I can almost always get a table without a reservation. I believe this is due to the popularity of a serviceable, but hip Vietnamese option nearby. This is the best Banh Mi I have had. I keep trying others, but the bread here is unmatched. I'm told they get it fresh from a bakery in Brooklyn. The spiced pork sausage they use is also perfect. The pho can b from exceptional to greatest of all time. I love this place with all my heart.Almost forgot the rolls! The cha gio are THE BEST. Not just saying that. They are the best in existence (US)."
"Solid experience with excellent food, superb service, and great ambience. Not a single issue for our group and our server was exceptionally helpful and guided us towards some great selections and just the right amount of dishes. The staff as a whole were very professional and we had a very good visit from beginning to end.The food here is really great and considering location, is actually a good value for what you pay. The food is flavorful and most of the dishes pack a great punch in terms of taste from the very first bite. The General Tso's chicken was my favorite dish full of delight and unlike any other version of the dish I've tried anywhere: great texture, full of greens, not too greasy, and complemented perfectly with a side of white rice. The shrimp toast is dangerously good and I'd definitely make sure to order this dish as a starter on every visit. The soup dumplings were a solid order, as were the cold sesame noodles, which were a big hit with the table. The one dish that I don't think I'd order again was the crispy garlic chicken, which I was most excited to try but found a bit dry and lacking in flavor compared to the rest of our dishes.Overall, a really great dining experience, especially for a family style dining group outing. I loved the charm of the space, which was subtle and intimate. The staff were very accommodating and made the experience all that more pleasant. One of the few dining experiences in Williamsburg that would draw me back in regularly and is worth the price."
"Amazing little noodle factory! My personal fave is the knife peeled but my family has loved every variation. Have to get the cucumber salad too. Duck is on the bone and so not my favorite, but a good flavor nonetheless. We've been here about 10x and each time is delicious"
"Fish balls... the hot dog of Chinese cuisine. No one knows exactly what part of the fish becomes the ball, yet no one cares (because they are tasty). This restaurant was voted Top 100 Chinese restaurants in the United States (specifically ranked #5 as of 1/29/25) and I can easily see why.The inside of the restaurant is decorated with photos of YouTube celebrities, such as Xiaomanyc - my mom sends me videos of that guy once per week to shame me (yeah, I know my Chinese sucks, but the positive thing is you can easily order in English or Chinese or the universal language of pointing with grunts). No frills restaurant with exactly 4 chairs, this restaurant is small, but mighty. They're known for their Curry Fish Balls with Fish Noodles (A1) and it's served with a combination of hoisin sauce, soy sauce, peanut sauce, and hot sauce (sriracha). I'm allergic to peanuts so I omitted the peanut sauce to avoid going into anaphylactic shock in the middle of Chinatown.Orders are available in large (1 quart container aka 32 ounces), medium (1/2 quart or 16 ounces), and small (1/4 quart or 8 ounces). Curry flavor is tasty and not too overpowering. The rolled rice noodles (cheung fun) are the star of the show - the perfect vehicle to absorb all the delicious umami flavors - it's like eating scrumptious, fluffy clouds. Those fluffy clouds seem to expand inside your stomach - they are very filling. I don't know of many places in New York City that can feed an entire family of 3 for $26, but this is one of them!"
"Glur Thai is absolutely delicious. Even amongst the scores of fantastic Thai restaurants in Manhattan, the food here stands out to me.I am a vegetarian, so I'll start off by saying that I've rarely, if ever, see a non-vegetarian restaurant have so many veg-friendly options. The vegetarian options were so dominant on the menu that my friend and I both had a tough time trying to figure out if Glur might just be a fully-veg restaurant. If you eat meat, don't worry, they do have meat options available- but there's just many choices for the herbivores- tempeh, tofu, Impossible meat, vegetables, mock duck, mock chicken- the list goes on and on.I had two dishes here on my visit. For my appetizer, I had the vegetable curry puffs. They were amazing. The pastry crust was wonderfully laminated and light, and the filling was seriously good. It was a spiced blend of corn sweet potatoes, with a hint of sweetness. I highly recommend it even for non-vegetarians.For my main dish, I had the pad gra pow with Impossible meat. I enjoyed this dish so much, I cannot wait to have it again. The basil flavor was strong, it had a slight sweetness, and the chili provided a kick without being overwhelming. The best part of the dish was the use of the ground Impossible meat that provided the more authentic (and satisfying) minced meat texture that is missing when restaurants offer a pad gra pow with cubed tofu. There was a fantastic crispy texture to someof the Impossible meat, almost like it was prepared like a smash-burger where there are crispy, Maillard-blessed edges to the meat. For a vegetarian that doesn't often get to have this, it was awesome.Glur has been added to my go-to list of Thai reataurants in New York. I can't wait to go back and try out more items from the menu."
"If your looking for fancy this ain't the spot, if your looking for good basic Ramen then it is ! Great Ramen made individually to your liking. Service was good enough for what they are. A great Ramen dive place with no frills. Should have reviewed it years ago just kept on forgetting to."
"Best Chinese food in Chinatown...been there for banquet parties and the food's been great, esp. their Peking duck; try their fish specialties and other chef specials. Manager Johnny is very friendly and awesome, and very accommodating. Great prices too. However it is cash only and closed on Sundays, so go to the ATM beforehand. Highly recommend."
"Haven't tried much northern Thai cuisine so decided to check this place out. We ordered a pork dish, chiang mai sausage, a noodle soup dish. Overall the food was delicious! The sausage is quite spicy though, so just a heads up if you don't have good spice tolerance. The waitresses were really nice and even let me practice my thai with them! And the atmosphere was cozy and very lively. Would recommend anyone to try this if they have tried northern Thai food!"
"I came across this Vietnamese restaurant on Instagram and had to share! The shrimp and crabmeat pho? Unbelievable. Seriously, the broth was an explosion of flavors - rich, flavorful , and mouthwatering! It's a must try! But, gotta be real, the dumplings were just okay. They didn't quite match up to the pho.The place itself had a cool vibe, and the service was friendly and quick. If you're into mind-blowing pho, this spot's a winner. Just don't expect too much from the dumplings! Overall, worth a visit for the amazing broth alone."
