"Love it! Park slope finally has decent homemade authentic Chinese food! The noodle and dim sum dishes brought back childhood memories for me. They may not be fancy but taste homemade. We had mala cucumber salad, Sichuan Ban Mein, crab and pork dumpling and coconut curry noodle. I thought all were very good and flavorful except for curry noodle which needs more salt. Daoxiao ("knife shaved") noodle is a specialty of the Shanxi province. It is thicker and chewer in middle and thinner on the sides. I love the texture. Order is easy - you scan the code on table and order via your phone. I wish they allow you checkout on the app too. Anyways, will definitely go back."
"The basil fried rice and tofu soup are my go-tos. Food is always ready quickly! Usually, I order takeout, but I've enjoyed the indoor and outdoor seats, too."

"This is my most-visited NY restaurant by a wide margin. I haven't reviewed it for fear of bringing attention to it. I can almost always get a table without a reservation. I believe this is due to the popularity of a serviceable, but hip Vietnamese option nearby. This is the best Banh Mi I have had. I keep trying others, but the bread here is unmatched. I'm told they get it fresh from a bakery in Brooklyn. The spiced pork sausage they use is also perfect. The pho can b from exceptional to greatest of all time. I love this place with all my heart.Almost forgot the rolls! The cha gio are THE BEST. Not just saying that. They are the best in existence (US)."
"One of my go-to spots in PS. Their green curry is one of the best I've had - my husband tried mine once and immediately wanted to go back the next day so he could get his own hahah. The menu selection has your classic dishes as well as some other authentic cuisines. Some of my other classic favorites are pad Thai, garlic sauce with tofu, pad see ew, pad kra pao. Their Thai tea is also spot on and super refreshing. Definitely check out Prem if you're in the area (or delivery if you're not!)."
"Solid So-so. The curry puffs were mushy. The Pad Thai didn't have much in it other than the protein and noodles"
"The place is very busy when we came on a Thursday night without reservations. We were told it was a 30 minutes wait. The waiter seated us by the bar because we didn't want to wait. Staffs were friendly. The place is nice. We order a small crab fried rice which is the best fried we had in a while. The Klui Goong (5 shrimp rolls) were perfectly crispy shrimp rolls with dipping sauce. The shrimp rolls tasted good without the sauce. This restaurant definitely deserves their Michelin stars. Will definitely return by here and next time dressing for the occasion. Food: 5/5Service: 5/5Ambience: 5/5"
"One of the best banh mi I have ever had. The 14 hour brisket is immaculate. Great people watching and crunchy bread"
"Service is excellent the food is great and great tasting. This price is reasonable.im having steamed pork dumplings. Neil helped me to order my food"
"FOOD AMAZING!!! BEING RUSHED OUT, NOT SO MUCH!The food was FANTASTIC! Loved the quality and reasonably priced appetizers and starters. Some of the entrees are overpriced. My firmed and I stuck to apps and rice and our bill was around $115. More details later. The mezcal drink was a standout! The reason for not giving 5 stars is that we were rushed out of our table. Asked 3 times if we were ready to pay by three different people after the checkbook had been on our table for only 10 minutes. We arrived at 5:35 and were being rushed out by 7:10 once we finished desert. This is not a good way to end with customers. One woman in black who looked like the manger started removing things from our table telling us to have a good night after we made our payment with the woman in a white top and beige pants. The same woman in white advised us that there was a speakeasy that she could escort us to when we were ready. (We had to use the restroom after getting up so urgently.) I was ready to give this place 5 stars for food and the service throughout the dinner, but I will be giving 4 stars due to the poorly rushed exit. It makes guests feel unwelcome especially after such a great meal. It's very disappointing. I understand there is a time limit per table especially on a Friday night but we were not over this limit and even if we were getting close to the limit, a proper way of executing getting our table is to offer a courtesy reminder at least 15 minutes before you want to give our table away. Menu Highlights:Drink: Five Points SourFood: Crispy Eggplant, Berkshire Pork, shrimp and garlic dumplings, and Johnny fried Rice. Desert: Creme Brûlée TartYou can't go wrong selecting these items unless you don't eat pork. My faves were the eggplant, rice and pork. So good and flavorful. Loved the bed of spinach greens that the pork was on top of. I would definitely come back here. Their speakeasy below is cute too. Get there early though because it's not that big and not many seats for the crowd that comes in after 8."
"Small Thai place in Chelsea with both a Thai menu and Mexican menu. I didn't have anything from the Mexican menu because I mainly came here for the honey pork slider. The honey pork slider is delicious! Definitely worth trying!! Also got the hobo noodle (at the waiter's suggestion) and it was really good! It had a nice level of spice, and was really good! Good portion, great taste! Would definitely come back to try other things on the menu. The only reason why I took off one star is because they don't sell a few items from the menu they gave us. The waiter told us which items weren't available to order after we already looked at the menu. The restaurant should either cross it off the menu or have the waiter inform your party before you are ready to order."
"Rating this spot based on the food my group got & experience we had, and honestly it was a good time with great food. I would come again! A bit surprised by some recent reviews.I made a reservation online but the main guy was so busy seating tables when we walked in that we didn't even need to mention the reservation and got a table. There is a steady flow of people all night but things move easily and most people I saw come in didn't have to wait more than 10 minutes. They were BUSY at 630 on a Friday, but every time we needed something the main guy or one of the other people in the restaurant came to help out. The food was solid -- great soup dumplings (could definitely use a little more soup BUT still solid and would get again 100%), pork bun, and wontons (my favorite of the night!). We got a couple other dishes, steamed veg dumplings, scallion pancake, but I could do without those and try some new stuff next time. The place is lively and chill. A great spot to hang and have good food, while not being in a place that's stuffy or fancy. Would definitely come back."
"I was recently craving Japanese food, but I wasn't sure if I wanted ramen, or udon, or sushi, or something else. Good thing Samurai Mama has all of those and more! This cozy restaurant has a combination of communal seating, booths, and regular tables. I ordered:* uni "tacos"* seafood miso soup* agedashi tofuThe uni "tacos" were kind of like a nigiri atop a piece of seaweed. Each order comes with two tacos. Great way to start the meal. The seafood miso soup was delicious - it was a spicy broth with everything you would expect in a miso soup, plus veggies, mussels, scallops, and shrimp! Yum! I loved this soup. The agedashi tofu came in a perfectly sized portion (six well-sized pieces) in a bowl of flavorful broth. I definitely want to come back to try the donburi and the udon. Samurai Mama is a solid choice!"

A small, authentic Cantonese restaurant. We were lucky to grab the last open table. We started with Cantonese Ban Mein with chicken. Long, flat noodles in a tasty soy sauce. Next were pork soup dumplings. The mixture of ground pork and savory broth were a flavorful mixture. We also had chicken siu mai . It had too much ginger seasoning for our liking. I had a passion fruit iced tea, which was excellent. Service was very good and was able to keep up with all the orders. You place your order via a QR code at your table, but the servers were available to answer questions. I would definitely return to try some other selectrions.

Food: I went to Saigon on a Saturday night with my boyfriend. I ordered a p3 and he ordered a Vietnamese hot and sour young coconut soup with Shrimp. My pho dish was delicious with plenty of noodles. My boyfriend's bowl was huge and had so many vegetables. The service was great. They made sure we were okay a couple of times.Ambiance: There was a couple of people eating at the restaurant at the same time as us; it wasn't loud making it a pleasant dinner experience.

Had an awesome dinner at Prem recently, and would definitely recommend to others! They have happy hour until 8:30pm every day with deals beer, wine, well drinks and even some cocktails. Perfect to pair a reasonably priced drink with dinner. The space itself is quite large and sleek inside, with a large back patio for those looking to dine outside. We ordered calamari as an appetizer.. for $12 they honestly knocked it out of the park. Solid portion and crispy with an amazing Truffle spicy mayo. Only critique here was that the breading didn't have much flavor, so it definitely needed the sauce. But the dipping sauce was delicious! We also ordered shrimp pad see ew, which again for the price was a solid portion with fresh shrimp. Finally, the pork both ways was also yummy, containing a solid amount of protein and the Chinese sausage was sneaky really good as well.Since the restaurant is new, staff is still working out some of the kinks, but all in all... flavors, quality, and portions were on point. Looking forward to coming back and will be recommending to my friends in the area!

Great Thai spot that ranks among the best in the city. Here's what you need to know:1. Excellent portion sizes... we split four dishes between four people and it was portioned perfectly2. Flavorful and spicy... everything here has a great kick. In the best way possible3. If you want to go salad, try something new and get the avocado mango salad. 4. Pad Thai is top 5 in the city easily5. Good service and lowkey ambiance.

Happy New Year! Happy 1700 reviews for me! Happy way to start off 2025 with a successful visit to a restaurant an anonymous Yelper recommended to me.As I will be headed to Thailand at a later date (no telling right now), this restaurant is a great way to get into that Thai vibe. Thai cuisine is known for vibrant color, massive flavor, aroma, and spice. This restaurant carries it all the way through, and I did not have to go too far off the subway to get it. Situated right by the 14th Street-Union Square station on the 4/5/6/N/Q/R/W/L (yes, each of those lines), it is easy to see why this restaurant is plenty busy. The interior for Manhattan standards is quite possibly stunning. Two floors, but nobody is on top of each other. The layout is well thought out, and hearing Thai music play throughout the restaurant is a pleasant change of pace compared to the other restaurants that try to pump out popular American music or that drippy stuff that can put you to sleep. This is fun, modern, and effective. The servers are all incredibly cute with their safety vests and great know-how, in addition to their speedy service without skipping a beat. All of them are part of the reason why I left full, but wanting to come back for more. I will be back here, let me get that out of the way for you now. I ordered the Chicken Wings and the Drunken Noodle (the menu calls it by its traditional Thai name, the Pad Kee Mao), and both are impeccable. The wings are meaty, juicy, crispy, served with a sweet chili sauce that is effective and could be placed on anything. Served hot, these five wings are the perfect way to get things going here. The Pad Kee Mao is also hot. Hot as in spicy. Be ready to order a Thai Iced Tea to cool everything down or you will be feeling it later on both ends. It is a generous portion of food. The chicken (the protein I ordered) is the one to get each time, though getting shrimp would work too. Stick with the chicken though. Next time I would like to try a Tom Yum soup with shrimp; I did not order it this time as my server said it is more an entree than an appetizer here. Good call for her for me not to get it.I had so much fun eating here and enjoying my experience. If this is a strong indicator of authentic Thai cuisine, Thailand here I come!

Today is the day I revisited restaurants from my Elite Events that took place in Williamsburg last year or.more.I had a craving for a Bahn Mi sandwich which I haven't had since you guessed it... last year at Lucy's Bed Stuy, Brooklyn location. That was a great event!I was pleased to spend a warm spring like day in Williamsburg especially eateries that are close to Domino Park like Lucy's.I entered and could smell the freshly toasted bread. I placed my order and remembered my 10% Yelp check in discount, perks my friend, perks!I found a seat near the window that had cushions and a nice view to people watch. My Bahn Mi was served to me table side, love that!I unwrapped my sandwich and took a good look at my delicious Bahn Mi that was about to be devoured: the chicken with the lemongrass flavor, oodles of cilantro, cucumbers.. is my sandwich seeping into your consciousness yet?...carrots on that heavenly toasted bread. Yowza indeed!I was a bit more daring today and squeezed the hot chili sauce and it gave it a spicy kick. The black iced tea served as my fire extinguisher. All in all a delicious cheat! This location is much smaller than Bed Stuy but it still packs a great punch: nice service, chill vibe ( love the picnic tables and cushions) and more importantly the food is delicious. Consistency keeps me loyal.. thus if a restaurant can still wow me with their food and service, then I'm your customer for a long time.If you read my previous review of Lucy's Vietnamese Elite Event it started like this:I love Lucy and she loves me, I'm so happy with my Lemongrass Chicken Bahn Mi.I still love Lucy and if you haven't tried the establishment all I can say is you need a good dose of Vitavitavegamin( (for all you I Love Lucy fans!)

I had a good experience, it was a pretty clean and quiet area and my service was very chill. It was only two workers so I didn't expect the food to be crazy fast but it was still reasonable time. I ordered 10 spicy pork potstickers ($13.55 w tax) and they had a bit of a kick not crazy spicy. I feel like the potstickers could've been crispier but they were still good. They have a mini self serve for sauce so I did the dumpling sauce and garlic dumpling sauce. I personally wasn't a fan of the garlic one, it was pretty salty and the dumpling sauce wasn't sweet enough to me but it was overall a decent meal.

"The flavors were good (mainly bc of the sauces and bonito flakes) but wish the noodles had a little more flavor."
"Tasty food & good value! I think the food overall could've had more flavor but with the various sauces & a little salt, no complaints! Service was quick & convenient - we ordered for takeout & our food was ready in about 10 minutes. The shop does have indoor & outdoor seating for anyone who wants to eat in! CASH ONLY!!"
"I love this place bc it's cheap, fast, hefty portions, and tastes like home. I wouldn't say it's the best noodle soup I've had in NYC but it really hits in its own way. Got the Beef Stew Shaved Noodle Soup and it was simple yet so satisfying - meat was tender, soup wasn't too oily or salty (unlike soooo many other noodle soup joints tbh), and the noodles were clearly handmade (possibly a bit overcooked but still tasted good). I literally only came here bc other restaurants in the area were full or closed, while this one was empty.. but so glad I gave it a try. Also, they take card!"
"The restaurant is small. The tables are close to each other. It's unpretentious and very casual. I enjoyed the food a great deal. The food was served hot, in a timely fashion. Our server was knowledgeable about the food and recommendations. My only issue is with the space, only 2 restrooms. I would go back for the food, most likely in the summer. So I can wait outside comfortably before being sat."
"Heard about this place opening up and after browsing through Yelp and seeing all the pictures I decided to go celebrate my birthday here. I was so surprised by how good the food was. We had ordered so many things to try and they all were deliciousss! It seems that they make everything from scratch from hot pot soup and sauces which is undeniably impressive. The only complaint is that the portions are a bit small compared to the price. Inside the restaurant is decorated as Thai cozy dining room style with Thai stuff and Thai movies posters featuring Japanese decor. This place is owned and run by Thai people so the service fits my style perfectly lol. I have been back here twice in one month and I don't live in the city. So this confirms how much I love this place lol ! I would totally encourage and recommend everyone to come visit. Tips: Crying tiger is a must try ! If you like to eat beef. Salmon clay pot is great if you like fish. Paying with cash gets some discount (if they still offer.) P.S. The pictures are from two visits. :)"
"We ordered 3 things to try:N1.Signature Lanzhou Beef NoodlesD1.Special Dry Beef NoodleB2.Traditional Pan Fried Buns/6 PcsD1 was my favorite. The noodles were perfectly chewy and well-coated in the spicy sauce, and there was decent serving of beef. N1 was good but I do wish the soup had a beefier flavor to it. The dumplings weren't my favorite but that's because I don't like doughy buns."
"One of the best food deliveries in a long time- if their delivered Pho is this good, I can't imagine how amazing it is at the restaurant! I ordered extra broth, and was able to have Pho for 2 days! The lemongrass chicken is seasoned to perfection, and the broth was so good, I had a cup for breakfast like it was tea. Absolutely perfect order, arrived quickly, their delivery bags are so sturdy and totally reusable! Love this spot."
"If you're looking for a quick dinner spot in 8th Ave, Dun Huang fits the bill! Emphasis on the quick. Not even 3 minutes in, our food came. You can customize the noodle type, but I got the regular lol. Regardless of the dish being labeled spicy, you can ask the workers to lower the spiciness which I appreciate. Some stores are hard set on their spice level. My Braised Beef Sirloin Noodle ($9.50) was not shabby at all! I didn't know how much I missed Lanzhou style noodles until I had this. The spice was right at my tolerance, and the broth was so flavorful! The noodles were also rightly soft and had good pull. The meat was sort of dry, but not a deal breaker. The Stewed Pork Burger ($4.25) was sadly small, but tasted great! The smell reminded me of soup from home, but the actual taste was not as pungent. The meat wedged between bao really warms the heart, although I do wish there was just a tad more flavor. You know a spot is authentically Chinese when they have C-pop hits playing. They didn't check up on us to refill our water, but they sure knew when to drop the bill. Nonetheless, they seem to be very clean, and still give out disposable utensils. With the attention to cleanliness, comfortable ambiance and great food, I'd totally come back whenever I am craving some noodles!"
"My friend and I stumbled across this restaurant on a Saturday night when we were wandering around trying to find a place for a late-ish dinner.Everything was delicious! We started with the Brussel Sprouts, which were incredibly flavourful. My friend had the Pork Katsu and said it was hearty and tender. I had the Hiyashi Udon set, which came with a handroll (spicy yellowtail) and a cabbage salad. I wasn't sure if I would enjoy a cold udon, but it worked thanks to the broth combined with scallions, tempura flakes and lemon to bring out all the flavours. The panna cotta made for a light, sweet finish."
"I wish I could try everything on the menu because everything sounded good. I settled for the Pan-fried Noodles with Crispy Chicken and loved it. This place was jumping too and it took a minute to get my food, but it was all worth it."
"Can your chains set you free? I'm not sure. I don't know you. But Nan Xiang has several locations throughout the city, and I'm always free to eat here. Love the shredded beef and pepper noodles. And the dumplings. The buns are good too!Express interestAvailable here and thereOr everywhere"
"The soup dumplings are must have. They are unique and we all highly recommend them. We ordered sesame chicken, kung pao chicken, spring rolls, and soup dumplings. I'd definitely say to pass on the spring rolls. The kung pao chicken was just okay. The sesame chicken was the best of the other things we ordered besides the soup dumplings. I'd definitely say to order the dumplings as your meal and skip the rest. The restaurant only takes cash so make sure you are prepared. The restaurant will also likely be on a wait with a line out the door. BEWARE - The wait does not go by the line. You must go inside and get a ticket to hold your place on the waitlist. Luckily a friend told me to go inside and get a ticket after I let her know we were waiting in line. No one will tell you that the line means nothing."
"If you are looking for affordable noodles soup in Manhattan, you should check out Dun Huang . This spot is famous for its authentic Chinese Northwestern cuisine.Their noodles are handmade and hand-pulled to perfection. We tried their signature Lanzhou beef noodles and it was very good. The broth was rich and aromatic , the beef was so tender. The noodles had the perfect chewy texture that only comes from being freshly made. Also must try is their sweet and sour short ribs . The balance of sweet and tangy flavors left us craving more.Whether you are looking for a quick bite or leisurely meal, this spot has you covered. The service is quick and efficient, making it ideal spot for a lunch break or a quick dinner after work.We ordered :-Signature Lanzhou Beef Noodles-Boiled Fish-Zha Jiang Noodles-Kelp salad-Lamb Chinese hamburger-Sweet and sour short ribsFollow @spinx17 for more NYC food adventures!"
"My new favorite restaurant in Brooklyn right now... The restaurant interior is so clean, simple, and stylish, the staff was so attentive to us. The food.. the food!!! I didn't think we were going to find delicious dumplings like this! The pan fried baos are bursting with hot soup, the scallion pancakes were so crispy and flakey, and the sautéed string beans were so flavorful. Everything was just hit after hit after hit! The food came out fast, fresh, and hot. This is just.. perfect, I don't know what else to say! Just incredible!"
"Worth getting out of the cold to enjoy a bowl of udon. Noodles are made on site which is a nice touch. Staff is courteous."
"Solid experience with excellent food, superb service, and great ambience. Not a single issue for our group and our server was exceptionally helpful and guided us towards some great selections and just the right amount of dishes. The staff as a whole were very professional and we had a very good visit from beginning to end.The food here is really great and considering location, is actually a good value for what you pay. The food is flavorful and most of the dishes pack a great punch in terms of taste from the very first bite. The General Tso's chicken was my favorite dish full of delight and unlike any other version of the dish I've tried anywhere: great texture, full of greens, not too greasy, and complemented perfectly with a side of white rice. The shrimp toast is dangerously good and I'd definitely make sure to order this dish as a starter on every visit. The soup dumplings were a solid order, as were the cold sesame noodles, which were a big hit with the table. The one dish that I don't think I'd order again was the crispy garlic chicken, which I was most excited to try but found a bit dry and lacking in flavor compared to the rest of our dishes.Overall, a really great dining experience, especially for a family style dining group outing. I loved the charm of the space, which was subtle and intimate. The staff were very accommodating and made the experience all that more pleasant. One of the few dining experiences in Williamsburg that would draw me back in regularly and is worth the price."
"If your looking for fancy this ain't the spot, if your looking for good basic Ramen then it is ! Great Ramen made individually to your liking. Service was good enough for what they are. A great Ramen dive place with no frills. Should have reviewed it years ago just kept on forgetting to."
"I feel like if you've never been to Wo-Hop where have you been really? It's an undisputed staple in Chinatown. I can go on and on about the food, but just tell the server your taste and go with their recommendations. I've tried just about every dish that doesn't contain pork, and I've never been disappointed. The servers won't stear you wrong. I've been coming here for atleast 20 years. My parents first brought us here, and now I take my kids. It's that kind of place. And now with the expanded space outside, our kids can be a bit louder, and ask all the questions their hearts desire without disturbing anyone lol. A must try in chinatown!"
"The Am-Thai is an amazing new addition to the Williamsburg dining scene. I've dined here a couple of times already, and they've only been open for about a month! Their dishes are packed with authentic flavors, and you can tell that Mama and her team cook everything with love. I've tried the Chive Shrimp Dumpling, Chicken Curry, Crispy Pork Belly with Basil Sauce, and the Beef Panang Curry, with the Pork Belly being my favorite. Service was also attentive, and super friendly. If you have room for dessert, give the Taro Custard with Coconut Rice a try; you won't be disappointed!"
"This was my second time here and it was excellent the first time and just as good if not better this time.Located on Hester just off of Mott. This small restaurant should not be missed. If you're looking for fresh, truly authentic Chinese food look no further.Shrimp with Asparagus was cooked perfectly. Large shrimp sit on top of a bed of crisp al dente asparagus . Dumplings are made to order and served all day long. The Shui Mai came 4 to an order and was a nice mixture of ground pork with hints of ginger. Service is excellent and the inside is spotless. Delicious, high quality food served in a comfortable casual atmosphere."
"4 people ate for $40 and had lots of leftovers. Wontons were great. The scallion pancake was very light on the scallions. The food arrived hot and fast. The portions are generous. We should have ordered the pork chops because it's known for that, but our group leaned more towards chicken. Very much a hole in the wall, but it's clean. Also, cash only!"
"With all the hype we've seen on the Internet, we decided to give this place a shot.Cute and cozy ambience, they only had 2 tables and bar front so maximum of 12 seats. We came for dinner so the menu focused more on mazeman and ramen.Staff was pleasant and attentive, gave us tips and recommendations on what to order. We ordered roasted potatoes for appetizer and the ramen for dinner. Both ramen had a very strong fish flavor as I presume the menu focuses alot on fish delicacies. While it was flavorful, probably not one of our favorites. They didn't have a dessert menu which was disappointing. Also towards the end we had to rush (maybe it was an hour seating time?) because they had a party coming in ten minutes that booked the whole place. Didn't get to fully enjoy the dinner.Maybe you will have a different experience? If you love fish of course."
"In a neighborhood where Chinese options are largely limited to fast casual and ancient takeout spots, this solidly classy sit-down Szechuan space has been a welcome addition for the past few years. The food is mostly of excellent quality, and the service is better than the Chinatown spots of my youth would have me expect. This is not the place for General Tso's chicken. They specialize in proper Szechuan cuisine. Accordingly, the mapo tofu is the real deal, spicy and excellent. I'm always happy to get it, and my shirt never is. The Chungking Chicken is a winner, and I'm always happy to eat the dan dan noodles. I have yet to try the Kung Pao, but I've heard good things. The starters are also of good quality. Scallion pancakes are awesome, soup dumplings, although Shanghaiese, are still quite good (although better ones can be had for cheaper a few blocks north at Nan Xiang), and the wontons in chili oil are great. Speaking of which, ask for some chili oil and use it liberally to punch anything up, especially the Stewed Fish with Vegetables, which is an excellent choice if your mom also can't handle the heat. I like how the lunch specials come with some pickled veggies. I like pickled things. There's a full bar, and even a negroni on the happy hour menu that I haven't been brave enough to try it yet. However, the wine and sake are both quite affordable if you come in early.Give it a go."
